Rell speeds up, matching anchor's stride. "Tell me, Anchor. This gnawing, ever-present feeling of uncertainty and dread... Is this how you felt when you arrived in faerun? When you were pulled from your homeland, your Eberron, and placed in that castle? Is this how Krakk felt when he was pulled from the Plane of Air?" He looks remorseful. "I was a fool. Had I understood your plights then as I do now... I would have done more to help you."

"I wonder if that's why our group was chosen?" Tingting ponders out loud as she hastens her pace. "Maybe it's easier to whisk away people that were already misplaced in time and space."
Continuing the March Anchor doesn't divert his gaze to Rell. Instead he continues to watch the surrounding area keep his eyes out for enemies. "...I feel little emotions such as dread or fear, I was built for war. Faerun was just another battlefield, like this place... If we are being honest here... if there is a battle to be fought I will seek it out. I do not understand, what more could you have done? Perhaps once we find a town we can form a contract. Don't want to kill you if you become my enemy you all seem...nice.
Answer Ting's question "Perhaps... I have found killing enemies that do not know local geography easier.

Looking at Rell, Krakk says "I was not pulled from my pplane, I came trying to save a small chick, failed that task" Fires burn in his eyes "But it did feel even worse the point I was not able to go back home, from then on I've been looking for a way back, to find all those I call family again"
Then following on with a look at anchor "That seems like a good plan, we should find shelter." He lifts just above the group and keeps pace with them
Black pools of water stand like dark mirrors in and around the muddy roadway. Giant trees loom on both sides of the road, their branches clawing at the mist. You trudge on for some time, though for how long exactly, it's unclear. Time seems to progress strangely in this place.
After a long while following the path the fog spills out of the forest to swallow up the road behind you. Ahead, jutting from the impenetrable woods on both sides of the road, are high stone buttresses looming gray in the fog. Huge iron gates hang on the stonework. Dew clings with cold tenacity to the rusted bars. Two headless statues of armed guardians flank the gate, their heads now lying among the weeds at their feet. They greet you only with silence.
Anchor studies the wall for a few minutes "Iron walls very hard to penetrate or escape... let's keep going, no one will lose there heads along as I'm here to defend them."

As you approache the gates, the gates start to open for you. The scratch of metal echoes through the land as they slowly swing fully open. Once they’re open, the gates stop moving and the echo slowly fades.
Anchor proceeds through the gate, maul at the ready, but encounter no creature, living or otherwise. The landscape on the far side of the gate seems to be much the same as it was before crosssing. Bleak, foggy, although possibly slightly less dark now.
Krakk surveys the area, and based on the current location, there isn't much cover to be found. There's approximately 5 feet of overhang from the status that might allow for cover from the rain, but that's all to be found. Anchor, you can see that the wall is flat on your side of the wall. There are no statues of headless men, the wall stands large and looming, covered in vegetation that looks is if it's been growing for tens if not hundreds of years, undisturbed.
Finch peers down the road, but it quickly bends to the north. There are distinct wagon tracks in the road that weren't present in the road leading to the gate though. Additionally, you catch the scent of death on the air, coming somewhere from down the road leading west, away from the wall.
As the group proceeds toward the tree line, headed down the dreary road, it doesn't take long for the scent to grow in strength. Before long the entire party in englufed in it. It's very distinctly coming from somewhere not far in the trees, to the north, or right side of the road. Can everyone make perception checks?
