Jean, you blast an inky cloud of inky darkness at the eel, which shrieks in surprise and confusion. You all zoom upwards, but before you break through the barrier and into the light...
Cordelia pulls the skipper to a halt as two more giant lightning eels appear in front of her! They bare their fangs menacingly as electricty crackles around them.
Kyo, you have dropped far enough into the clouds to witness this new scene!
(Just checking in: how is everyone feeling right about now? I'm sure this kind of stuff is par for the course for the main party, but Tony- this must be pretty crazy for you. Even Kyo (as you're newer at this), you must be struggling with the weirdness of this leap. Anyone's characters getting fed up? Just tired of the struggle?)
Such thoughts race through the mind of Lil’ Big Tony. This was insane! Bunch’a crazy people pop into his city and drag him into a high speed chase with a GIANT EEL that, for some reason, can breath electricity! Was it even worth it? Was it even worth it!? Of course it is! Shatter his bones, electrocute him half to death, see if he cares! He’s getting his sister back and gonna break the skulls of whoever thought that they could mess with the TONIES!
Cordelia spreads Duncan's wings wide and the cockpit shutters violently with the sudden deceleration. Duncan rolls back 90 degrees and rolls as she opens the reverse thruster jetting backwards on a perpendicular course backwards toward where the horizon would be and presenting the beasts to Jean and her harpoon.
She hammers the speaking stone and calls to the others., "A little help!" (Maneuvers: 14)
Amaruve doesn't see the fight in the cloud below but he can feel it. With Cordelia's call he leaps from Caspian, legs spread as he pounces into the mess trailing a string of fine thread.
Caspian lurches as Amaruve reaches the end of his rope striking at the nearest Eel in a Reckless Rage hitting 18 for 5 piercing with a poisonous bite, injecting 14 poison damage (Con save DC 11 for half).
Amaruve thinks back on his life. In the park he rarely spoke with others, only dropping in to a few places in the tower on occasion. Now he was with friends every day. Sure they were all in constant mortal perril, but he moved on each day feeling that he has made a positive influence in these worlds. As he fell through the infinite sky secured with only a thin silk line he realized something. Amaruve has never been happier.
*hurck* with a sudden jolt he's jerked to a stop staring into the face of his foe.

At Cordelia's cry, Taesn whirls Ariel around and dives toward the dark clouds below. Unfortunately, the Earth woman's maneuvers aren't equal to the mobility of the eels, who block her escape. One is bitten by an inexplicably present giant spider (that attack dealt 12 damage total, btw). It unleashes an electric jolt, dealing 15 lightning damage to Amaruve, Tony, and Duncan, and 7 damage to Jean and Cordelia (all four of you: DC 12 CON saves, please! Jean and Cordelia have advantage)
The second eel (who is unharmed so far), whips its head toward Tony, biting at the goblin twice!
Tony grinds his teeth as more electricity arcs through his body. He’s starting to fade in and out of consciousness, but manages to lift himself out of the way of both eel bites, “Can someone... get me inside one of these things... I’m not exactly having a fun time here.”
Meanwhile, as Jean fires the harpoon at the moving eel, Tony tries last minute to readjust its direction, but the electricity through off his timing. The harpoon still goes wide.
Seeing that miss, Tony just pulls his body toward the eel, “Badaboom... or whatever. I’m too tired for this.” Tony throws an elbow at the best, Attack: 21 Damage: 5 bludgeoning damage. Tony will also burn a Ki for a Stunning Strike! DC 14 Con Save, bucko!

Tony taps the eel that had bitten him right on the tip of its snout. While the hit didn't appear to be too powerful, the monster crumples instantly, stunned. It drops from the sky, plummeting downward through the cloud of ink laid by Jean and Duncan. In fact, there is a huge wet slap and a screech as the eel apparently collides with its blinded brother below.
This occurs just moments after Amaruve is hit by an electric jolt from the remaining eel. The enormous spider-bear folds its grotesque legs under its body and is whisked away by its thick silken tether into the darkness of the clouds.
There is now just the one creature that continues to menace the party. It appears to be unaware of Kyo, who is hovering above it.
Perspicacious, you feel Caspian lurch as Amaruve hits the end of his tether. The steam skipper, capable only of gliding at the moment, sets loose a tinny whistle of alarm as you begin to drift downward, off-course from the island on which you intend to land. Just as it seems that you will drop too low to make it, there is another lurch and a heavy jolt, and Caspian begins to rise, unburdened. I imagine the tiefling lets out a relieved cheer as she regains altitude. That elation quickly sinks to despair, however, as she passes beyond the boundary of black clouds below.
Perspicacious, you're going to make it to your island. Which is good, because there is nowhere else to land and you've nearly lost the last of Taesn's memories to guide your flight. The bad news is that the end of Amaruve's silken tether has come into view... and he isn't attached to it. Amaruve is gone.
Amaruve's mind swims. He feels like his body has been shattered. He struggles to hold onto life. Something is watching him. Those people? He tries to sit up but he can't lift his arms. All the world feels distant, a spec of light in the distance with blackness closing in from all sides, pressing against him. He feels like he's being crushed by his own weight...
(This can either surround your ship or target the eel; how do you want it to work?)
