"So he doesn't seem like... a GOOD guy... while I enjoy a good fight, I prefer to fight on the side of good... even of I do get carried away a bit and enjoy it a little too much..." Shiv will say, sucking one of his fangs with his forked tounge before flicking it a bit and looking to the others.."Helps me sleep better at night knowing the guy I gutted was a jerk.... "
Jevyn silently swapped his fish for the chicken leg in front of Locke. Listening to Lazarus speak, he showed obvious signs of disgust, though he kept himself faced away from the tiefling, only watching his movements in the reflection of the metal tankards along the back wall. As Lazarus walked out, Jevyn paused to look at his companions. "Well then. He's not wrong, but I don't entirely agree with his line of thought. That said, I think we should check this deal out. It'll keep us employed." Glancing at the bartender, he tore out a blank page from his Code of Conduct manual and scribbled something on it. "Though I would prefer to stay here tonight. Here's how 'The Cowardly Lion' is spelled, if you wanted to just hire someone and have them copy the text. Keeps it cheap." Handing the paper to the barkeep, he finished his meal and checked the time. "So who wants to come with me to find this place? I'd prefer to know all the ways in and out before we hear about this job."
Atlas just watches as the Tiefling gives his spiel, all but daring the group to meet up with him tonight. "It sounds like whatever he has planned may not be keeping to the Law. I think the Tiefling is trouble"
Shiv will nod in agreement with the large warforged, taking a step closer to him and reaching high above his head in order to place his clawed hand on Atlas's shoulder. "Are you all suggesting we work for the guy? Or check out his operation and then put an end to it?" His tail twitching and tongue flicking between his sharp teeth.
It is now almost 8:00, and the city is quiet. It will take you at least half an hour to find your way to the southern district, not counting the time it will take you to locate the Frowning Jester.
The Cowardly Lion is now doing a roaring trade, and there are nearly a dozen people rammed into the relatively small inn. The loxodon bartender has no more time for small talk, and you begin to feel suffocated by the number of patrons.
Atlas has not moved from the spot he stands in since he entered The Cowardly Lion. Even as the guests begin to pool around him, he remains unmoving. Some may even think that he's a statue just standing there perfectly still. That is, except for Shiv who is most likely crawling all over him.
(I have not started to yet but I was definitely thinking about it... I didn't know how you would feel about my character consntly climbing on you and jumping off of you to get to things lol :D So are we heading out or sleeping here?)
"Maybe we could go ahead and rent our rooms here and either stay here the rest of the night or go out for a bit and return to rest. I'm fine with whatever the group wants to do. I'll check the prices for rooms"Tak says and then walks through the cluttered inn to the barkeep. "How much for 3 rooms?"*figuring 2 people per room.*
OOC: Also, before we actually get into combat. Do you have a problem with us both being fighters? I can switch to barbarian if you do. I mean it shouldn't be a big deal exactly since there shouldn't be a fight over armor and while Shiv is definitely going to be more offensive based, I am guessing based on your character information that yours will be focused more on protection maybe? Just let me know if you want me to change lol, it is not a problem :D.

"Whichever is worth more, I'm game." Leaves squawked. She snapped her beak forward and cracked a walnut in half with one blow, deftly picking out the meat with a snap of her tongue, and flinging the shell to the floor. "And i'm personally insulted of being accused of having morals." She continued, feathers ruffling in indignation.
"I'm open to checking out the extremely creepy Teifling's offer. I agree with Shiv, we can always see what his operation is and if there is coin to be made by shutting it down we can go that route as well."

"One gold piece a day, two beds a room." The loxodon rattles off automatically without even looking in your direction. Right now he is having an argument with an elf who complains his salad stinks of meat.
"Morals are a good thing, Seabeak. Tak and Locke, you can set up rooms for us. I'd like to get going as soon as possible. I agree that we should hear this job before we decide on whether or not we're shutting it down," Jevyn said, sliding through the crowed tavern towards the door. "It might be that it's nothing, it might be that we'll be cashing in a huge bounty on this guy's head. Come prepared for a fight. Not that I had to tell you all that. And before I forget." He tossed a pouch containing 5 silver towards Tak for his room payment.
Tak places his hand on the barkeep's shoulder and clears his throat, which sounds more like a chirp than a cough, "pardon me", and hands him a pouch with 3 gold in it. "That'll take care of us for the night. Give me keys to three rooms and we'll return later this evening. Unless you'd like to continue arguing with someone trying to get a free meal and we can just go elsewhere."

"All right, all right, no offense meant. Here are your keys, I apologize but I can't show you to your rooms. I'm a trifle busy, you see. " He hands you three keys and gestures up a flight of stairs to the right of the bar, which evidently leads to the lodging area.
"No problem and thank you. We should be able to manage." Tak wades through the crowd and rejoins the group. "Ready when y'all are, unless you want to visit the rooms first." *holding up the keys.

OOC: I think Atlas has just accepted it as a part of his life now haha. I don't care if you do.

OOC: Nah it's cool. My guy is definitely more focused on Tanking and Defense.
"I prefer action..." Atlas says in a tinny, rumbling voice at last...maybe even startling a few patrons.

Shiv, his hand still on the warforged will speak up "I found my roomie!" looking up to Atlas.
