He does look around the alcove where the slain ooze used to be, in case there are any clues.

Rodolfo is confused, "What do we do now? I assume the other three traps also have oozes in them and that would be a really weird place for a way out. On the other hand we have covered everything else here. If there is the option of dying by drowning compared to fighting some more oozes and possibly dying fighting then I'm actually not sure which option I would pick."
He looks at the others, "Any ideas?"
"I mean it could be that there's a small amount of water above us and if we break the ceiling we could climb out to safety, but we have absolutely no way of knowing, do we?"
Narstin perks up at Rodolfo's words. "That's a brilliant idea!" he exclaims. "After all, the water can't continue forever. It must be a recent development, or else the entire place would have been flooded already anyway. I'll bet if we were to break the ceiling as Rodolfo says, the rest of the water would just flood quickly through instead of trickling down slower, leaving us a clear path to climb or swim through."
He walks towards where the water is trickling down and inspects the ceiling with dwarven eyes. "This stone is already incredibly weakened by the water coming through. It should be simple to cause a full collapse and let the rest in."
"We just need a place to shelter so we don't get crushed by the falling ceiling wall it collapses or washed away by the resulting wave of water." He starts looking around the room, focusing on the other niches. "If we duck back into the niches across the way from the entrance and the niche where the water is entering, the main force of the water should be channeled down the tunnel there instead of at us. And the alcoves themselves could help protect us from collapsing debris."
Beegred: "I don't like this idea, of filling up the place with water and hope the water overhead isn't too deep... But I don't have any other ideas...
"Good thing you and Rodolfo cleared out the alcove niches. I'd hate to get into one of those things, and be swallowed by an ooze while drowning.
"We should empty one of the waterskins, blow as much air into it as possible, then hand it to Narstin. When it looks like this place is almost filled up with water, he can cast Light on it. That way, all of us will be swimming in the same direction. And if we get disoriented in the dark water, that waterskin will be floating "up"."

Skameros looks at everyone like they are crazy, takes a piece of rope and ties it around his waist and then around the statue to secure himself before wedging himself in to an alcove.
Narstin nods to Beegred. "Good thinking," he says, taking the waterskin when it's ready, casting Light on it right away instead of waiting for the room to be almost filled up. Looking back to beegred he gives a shrug. "The spell lasts an hour, if we're in the water that long, we'll drown before it runs out anyway."
Looking back to where the water leaking in, he inspects it for the best way to cause the rest to collapse, then, as soon as the others are in place, does what needs to be done (or directs the appropriate person to do so if someone else would be better)
Narstin gets to work driving wedges into the fissures of the broken alcove to hurry along the work the water already began. (see OOC post for details)
While the remainder of the party waits for Narstin's efforts to bear fruit, Glabbagool slithers his way up the hallway towards the fountain room, really only noticeable by the skeleton, mace and coins still floating inside his form. Once in range of the party, it says, "Sadness. The tasty drow must be below the water that floods the chambers below. Glabbagool floats, can't get to tasty drow since water invading this place. Less and less places to go now. Water is being greedy."
Rodolfo says, "Globbagool, you float? If we break the ceiling and fill this place with water, can we float up with you? We can tie a rope around some of our heavier stuff and you can hold it for us without breaking it? I mean you have the skeleton and the mace and the coins inside of you right now."
Narstin hammers away at the wall. He can see what he needs to do to make it come down, but it takes him longer than expected to make it actually happen.

The gray ooze is restrained by the glob flung by Rodolfo's wand. However, Skameros is still in range for a pseudopod to reach out...
Pseudopod Attack: 20 Damage: 14
(7 bludgeoning and 7 acid damage)Actually, should be disadvantage... 8
... so an 11 misses.
After Skameros and Jimjar go, Beegred will try 2 arrows from the short bow at the ooze.
(Whoops, forgot about the Advantage provided by Winenose. To-hit roll second chances - 1st arrow: 15 2nd arrow: 17 )

Beegred and Skameros retaliate with arrows and javelins, which are consumed by the gray ooze as it succumbs to the assault.
(Beegred: 17.5 arrows, Skameros: 1 Javelin remaining)
Elapsed time: 3 hours, 45 minutes and 9 squares
There are 3 formless statues remaining. What do you do now?
Beegred: "Are we supposed to slay the other 3 statues to reveal some way out of here? I would hate to use up my arrows and find out they have nothing to do with the exit... I say avoid these things."

Rodolfo says, "Stand back a bit, I'll see if the wand helps against the others of those"
He tries to use the wand of viscid globs on one of the remaining three formless statues: 21
The glob of the wand strikes another formless statue. A magical sheen falls, leaving a Gray Ooze trapped by the wand.
(not rolling initiative since the ooze can't hit anyone)
Rodolfo says, "Oh, perfect!"
And he will proceed to make it dead by chain-casting Ray of Frost.
"Keep your resources, I can do this all day."
He will then proceed to the next. Wand attack: 15
And to the last one, wand attack: 25
After that he says, "All out of charges now"
Narstin intersperses Sacred Flames in between Rodolfo’s Ray of Frosts to help finish off the oozes quicker.
With careful tactics, the party eliminates all of the gray oozes held in stasis as statues. The alcoves now sit empty.
Elapsed time 4 hours, 30 minutes and 9 squares.
While Narstin and Rodolfo destroy the oozes in the alcoves, Beegred and Skameros settle down to rest and recover (short rest).
Elapsed time: 4 hours, 45 minutes and 9 squares.
