My mistake. The hobgoblins were moving FROM east TO west (toward the coast and the Long Road). So, if you were going to travel to where they were coming from, you'd go east, not west.
As they move along Glynquinal will put effort into paying attention to his surroundings so they don't get surprised by anything when he's not practicing with Mage Hand.
The party heads east along the Triboar Trail, keeping their eyes peeled for anything linked to search parties or hobgoblins in general.
Ian only:
A little after midday, you hear a strange rustling. As the group continues to walk, you continue to listen to the strange sound. It's getting louder, though it is still not loud. It's very similar to the sound the leaves are making as the breeze blows through, but slightly different. It's coming from the north.
Glynquinal's thoughts wander to the fate of Thel while they are walking. He finds an anger there over his fate he would not have expected to be so strong for someone he'd never met. During their journey he will ponder on how strong of a reaction he's experiencing.
Ian attempts to communicate with the group quietly Not to alarm anyone, but I feel as if we are being followed. Keep your eyes peeled, and your weapons at the ready.
At Ian's warning, everyone is immediately on edge. Rock, Gruxx and Herr Doktor begin scanning the trees to the north and south. Glynquinal is able to pick up on the strange rushing noise and his eyes aim a little higher like Ian's. It isn't long before they all witness the group of small, winged creatures bursting out of the tree top to the north.

Are you traveling on the road?
Rock will take point heading east, battle axe in hand, let the elves use there sneaking ways to set traps for the baddies that we find...
OOC: Yes, the intention was to travel in the direction they came from.
With Rock willing to take the lead, Glynquinal is more than willing to follow him on the road in second position behind him.
As they travel, Glynquinal will cast Mage Hand occasionally and tap Rock on his back working to get good with controlling the ghostly hand.
Rock mumbles "Sneaky Elves!"

Gruxx will take the third position wondering to himself why he has failed so much at finding tracks lately.
