"Big, big, -sniff-" The girl says through sniffles and tears. The boy pats the goblin's head, "Well...Risa's brother, Lano, worked for someone. I was helping Risa follow him cause he did fun stuff though...the person he worked for didn't come alone. That guy took what Lano had and those people following the guy hurt him when he started asking where's his zenos." He takes a moment to console the crying goblin. "I...I held her back when it happened, didn't want her to get hurt. Didn't have to wait long, some weird elf started chasing them out of the alleys. And then...I went looking for help."
"Of course, sir!" Blitzen replies; such an assignment just as a start seems like a good sign to him. Of course, he doesn't want to mess it up...
"However, if you don't mind me asking," Blitzen begins, frowning slightly, "where was this gauntlet last seen, and are there any likely suspects who might have taken it? I'd want to start my search, there, I'd think. Of course, if it doesn't turn up then," Blitzen muses, "I might want to attempt to make some sort of radiation reader to track it. The guantlet would likely emit a lot of energy, I'd think, though I might run into interference from other power sources, so...but that can come after."Blitzen nods to himself and takes a breath.

Apologies for the absence: holidays happened.
Gallias has taken out a small notebook and jots down a couple of keywords to summarise what he is being told. 'That was very smart of you.' He reassures the boy. 'Now I need you to remember very carefully: these people Lano met, could you describe them for me? Anything you can recall: faces, clothes, scars, markings.'
He turns his notebook to one of the first pages where he had sketched all ten guild symbols during a particular uneventful day in his training. Turning the book around, he shows the page to the boy and girl. 'Did they perhaps wearing any of these symbols?'
For clarification: both the boy and the girl Gallias is talking to are goblins, as well as is the one he just healed?
After another sweep of the area, you spot a discarded dagger, stuck deep into a side of a building. Hung by the dagger is a singed piece of a cloak, red but with its ends scorched.
"It was in Orro's care, so he'll be the last one to have seen it." Orro sheepishly shrugs as he starts to talk his tongue. Rill listens then shakes his head, talking back sternly to Orro before turning back to you, "Orro's cousins might have it, though he's not sure which one it is. I've told him time and time again, if the Rakdos wants their pyrotechnics, they're going to have to pay for them. Anyway, I'd start looking around streets, there should be some performers here and there, they might have seen the prototype. Just don't incite their desire for violence and it should be relatively safe."
(The boy is a human, the girl and her brother are goblins.)
The boy shakes his head, "I...I don't know. They wore cloaks and never took them off. I just know they were humans, veldakin, or one of the elves, not the Loxodon or Minotaurs. I heard some yelling and a fight going on after the elf chased them, but didn't want to leave Lano and Risa alone." Lano, the goblin on the floor is stable and is unconscious for a short while.
The walk back is quite quiet and feels quite serene as the spiders stalk you no more. Throom talks to the votaries at the vernadi and they agree to watch over the still alive gruul anarch. Atrexi is dismissed to help with other chores. And a wood elf speaks to one of the residents, he seems to be quite familiar with them but does not bear any guild medals or the like. Throom looks to Thwuut, "Thank you for your assistance Thwuut, you and Atrexi have both done well. Though I'm sorry to ask more of you, we need to tell the voda of this Gruul clan that was in the forest."
Thwuut bows her head slightly. "Of course. It only seems sensible that the enclave knows what we do." She replies, ready to go give her report with her superior.
"If I may, I'd like to tag along," the wood elf says. "I haven't had any chances at fun yet, and I'm getting a bit bored. By the way, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Aelar Stormherald, my family has some small ties to several guilds, Selesnya being the one with the strongest ties. Pardon, I'm a bit wordy"
Kieryl cranes his neck, taking a glance at the dagger. "Huh, looks like one of those Rakdos daggers...though the cape can be anyone though...Hmm, let's look around here for a bit." The alleyway is filthy and is amok with graffiti. It is quite hard to make clues out of the refuse but you may be able to find other clues if you search down the connecting alleys.
(Either way is an investigation roll, although they have different DCs)
Throom thinks for a moment before nodding, "You're practically family, the equenauts in your lineage have served and helped the conclave numerous times. Although it saddens me that you have not chosen to join one of the guilds, I'll gladly welcome the outside perspective from you." Throom leads you both up to the temple at the top of the vernadi where the voda resides, tending to the roots.
"And I you," Aelar says as he falls into step behind the duo. "You know how my family operates Throom. We try to keep a solid balance with the other guilds that favor nature."

(Hey all, finally back from visiting people etc. and got reliable internet again. Will be posting sporadically until about Monday/Tuesday.)
Selesnya Enclave
Thwuut simply nods. She will follow Throom's guidance and head back home, leaving the spiders to do as nature does.
