Slate will let out a hardy belly laugh at the the children in the kitchen, a large smile spreading across his face. "I do enjoy seeing ya all play together like that!" The thick dwarf would say wiping some pancake batter on his tabard. Ruby will also wear a large smile, not trying to hide it in any way before speaking up. "The little ones will be staying here. They have their own chores to do and they have much to learn before they are allowed to leave the house without our supervision." The female dwarf will say as she walks over to the bugbears and centaur, gently removing children with her powerful hands. "Now say goodbye to your older brothers and sisters, they will be back sometime tomorrow I would imagine" Slate will say, bringing over large sacks of food and handing them to the five of you. As the children are removed from their giant movable playgrounds, they take their seats as the kitchen tablet and wave to you all, saying goodbye and wishing you luck. Some of them tell you that they plan to draw you pictures to give you when you return.
(if you have anything else you wish to do you can before leaving)
As the five of you head out, it is a beautiful day outside as the sun continues to rise in the early morning sky. There is not a cloud in sight and the dirt path leading down the hill towards SleepyTimbers is still covered in the leaves of last fall. Although the sun is shining, it is still fairly chilly this morning as the cool brisk morning air blows down the path and rustles the branches of the nearby trees. Each of you have travled into town on multiple occasions, sometimes with your parents to run errands and other times perhaps sneaking out for some reason or another and you are all pretty familiar with the path running from the FOAO to town.
As you all make it to the edge of town, roll me perception checks.
Vruuk is having a hard time keeping his eyes open by the time the group make to the edge of town. Either the kids wore him out more than he let on, or night activities were coming to bite him. Not that he minded...

Darastrix would take a quick peek into his bag, shaking it a bit to get a good look at all the meat. "Feels a wee bit light, Pa." Holding the bag out to try and beg for a bit more. Given more or not, he'd offer Slate and Ruby a hug before heading out with the others.
As the kids of Stonephoenix make it to the edge, Darastrix pulls out the bag once again, reaching for a random piece of meat to feed his maw. "We are getting close to the farm, right? Not that much food to hold us over before getting to that horse. I am just lost as why they could not just bring us the horse to eat. We have to walk all the way to the farm to eat it. "
(You are approaching the town from the east and the farm is on the outskirts of town to the west of town so you are going to ha e to go through town or around town to get there)
At the thought that they have to pass through the town to get to the Hagger's farm Pok'im is nervous because like the others they have all had run ins with the town bullies. While it has never ended well for the bullies, the thought of explaining to Ma that they had got into yet another fight was scary to say the least. He says to the others in his thick Jaimaican accent "Pok'im worry 'bout goin' inta Town. He reckon it betta to go round!"

Ash smiles at Pok'im. "We can go around buddy. No problem," he says gesturing for tge group to go around to avoid trouble. "Nice enough day for it," Ash adds. "Horse eating jokes aside we're all expected to be on our best behaviors," he adds in a firm tone.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
As Ash finishes his statement, The lizardfolk and goblin both hear the sound of a younger child crying just beyond the wooden walls of the town.
"And this little piggy cried wee wee wee all the way home right yellas!" Darastrix and Kulsee can hear as a few other voices can be heard snickering all the while the crying continues...

**So would it be reasonable for me to assume I'm hearing someone being bullied?**
Kulsee would hop off her brother, and let the group keep walking towards town while she ducks in to the shadows to try to get a closer look at what's going on.
Vruuk hadn't felt one or another about entering town; but, he was willing to defer to his brothers feelings on the matter as well. Though in feeling a literal weight leave his shoulders, Vruuk looks about until he sees Kulsee try ducking into shadows closer to town. Confused yet curious, he pats Pokim-Mon on the shoulder, and directs his gaze over to Kulsee. "Think she's gotta the 'itch'." He says conspirator's tone.
(Don't believe that stealth beat anyone's passive perception. X) Though aside from Daratrix, the rest are in the dark of the why of course.)

"I do not be jokin when it comes to eatin... " Darastrix adds as he chews through a piece of bacon, muttering incoherently while bringing up the rear of the group. The crying child heard, but ignored as it didn't concern him. Not as much as the well being of Kulsee. Seeing the little goblin run off, struggling to find any shadows, Darastrix would offer a hand in the form of fog cloud over Kulsee
"Yuh call Pok'im and Vruk eff yuh need help little one"Pok'im says to Kulsee just as he is about to disappear into the bushes. "Otherwise wi stay here"he finishes with.

(The town surrounded by a wall? Is it high? Can we see through it? How far away is the entry point? )
It is high, about 15 ft but there are small gaps between the heavy wooden verticle timbers that make up the wall. They have been sharped to points at the top of the posts. You are all about 20ft away from the wide open east gate into town.
So as the goblin rounds the corner, trying to remain hidden, she realizes that about 6 teenage children are looking in her direction and notice her immediately. A small heavy set child is laying on the ground and is upset and appears to have a bloody nose.
"Hey look! Another no-good filth-blood" The largest boy will say, pointing a finger towards Kulsee. "Get her!" The curly red haired teen will yell, his patchy thin mustache containing bits of his breakfast. As the five other children move past the boy on the ground they stop a moment as cloud of fog starts to form around the goblin. Hesitantly the continue to move in her direction.
Pok'im (and I assume Vruk) loom out of the fog and Pok'im says to Vruk "wot is 'filth-blood'? Do dey use naughty words? Ma would tan our hides if we use naughty words! Should we tan their hides?"

Pok'im is just enjoying being outside on such a lovely day and is certainly not taking any notice of what is going on around him.

Yup, pretty much.. could be a mugging or something but it doesn't exactly sound like an attempted murder or anything.
