Benagol finds 4 quails hanging on a basin: good old Paddy hunted them and set them to drain their blood.

Well, at least we have dinner for tonite, actually I am not sure if it is just an apetizer for the goliath...better than nothing

He starts to grill them on the fireplace, also to take time to think

The Baron himself, nonetheless! no doubt it must be a good pay and an interesting task. Well, there is no much that holds me here anyway

While the quails are cooking, he adds

I guess I am in for your quest, you know, especially if there is wage to share. After all, there is nothing that really holds me here, my friend is no more. I must still take it in: a druid of the circle of the trees killed by a tree! Life is a mistery, indeed.

I don't think you could appreciate it before, in the middle of the fight and with few light and all but...let's say I consider myself quite good with weapon and stealth, I trained in the army.

Of course, there was nothing serious to be done with a pike against such a bark, but at least I distracted him.

Take some dishes if you can find them and, go on, tell me which could be your next moves and...why the baron chose you all...I mean, what are good at?

Benagol starts to serve a quail each, leaving the last for him: the other might think a gesture of kindness, especially towards the ladies, but it is just because the quail at the bottom has more sauce.

Liet will gladly help himself to the food. Goodberries are good, but do get old when it's all you eat on the road. He'll say to Benagol "I'm somewhat of a scout. I have never been much of a fighter, but can often get in and out of places well, causing a bit of trouble while there. McFuddy here, he is good at flying and spotting things from the sky. And Nalla, well, as you saw, she's quite strong. We're headed to the caves to find whoever it is that is calling themselves a demon now, and... well... the rest will unfold as it happens I suppose."

Nalla stands in the doorway, as suggested. She's back to her timid, quiet self again. No sign of the brutal barbarian you all had seen earlier.

Benagol gives a quail to Nalla, saying

even though, once inside, the cabin starts to feel jammed

Liet nods saying "It is getting late... and our sleep was interrupted earlier by a crazy tree... Should we take shifts to keep watch? Or do you think we're safe here?"

Well if we rest for 8 hours, and each watch for 2 hours of the night, will we all still get our full rest? (Or should we have 2 ppl take short rests and watch for 4 hours, then swap who is on watch each time?)

"Leit.... Should we just be bringing people we don't know with us? sleep in the same place as us?"

McFuddy is VERY hesitant to go in the cabin, and is very noticeably uncomfortable in the cabin. 

How much farther do we need to go to get to the other cabin? (because if i remember right, i was leading party there, then we were going to look for a trail to the mountains, Correct?)

As McFuddy goes to sit on a pillow on the floor, he winces, Reaches under the pillow and pulls out a little potion bottle. the writing on the label is smeared a bit, all that can be made out is "Padrigs Incr......  .....ning Resi......  ... ....e Swelling"

Mcfuddy eats his meal, then once guard shifts are decided, he walks out the front door, and perches up on the roof, to nestle in for some much needed rest.

((@McFuddy I would have tried 'Nature' instead of 'Arcana', as a Druid made the potion from herbs and junk. I think I mentioned that. You get a +1 instead of a -1 that way. Try again in the morning.))

The night passes uneventfully. Everyone gets their much needed rest after such a harrowing fight. The first rays of dawn peek through the wooden shutters as birds start to sing. What do you do?

NALLA

Nalla is a fairly heavy sleeper so she'll probably wake up last of the four. Depending on what everyone else wants to do (such as go hunting before we leave), Nalla will chill in the front of the cabin, sharpening her tools and working on a pair of shoes she's idly been working on with her leather. If the party is ready to head out right away, Nalla will fall in the back of the marching order.

 (Many birds, will kill and eat other birds. I do not not mind. its a bird eat bird world after all ;)

McFuddy

As the sun comes up McFuddy stretches his wings, and takes off in flight. up above the trees. flying up hundreds of feet, then free falling down until opening his wings and gliding again. after about 30 min of this, he then starts searching through the woods for some prey to hunt. will spend about 30 min looking, if he doesn't find anything he will return to the house and see if others have awoken yet. If he DOES find a prey, he will kill, and skin it, bringing back the meat and hide.

Not sure which rolls you'll want to ill just unload a few here :)

You all gather together, have a quick bite of fresh meat (take a +1 to CON saves until nightfall, thanks to McFuddy) and head off to the West in search of the cabin you left on your previous jaunt through these woods. 

((Someone please make a survival check, DC10, with advantage (you've been in the area before), to accurately locate the cabin. If you succeed you arrive at the cabin by midday. What do you do?   If you fail, then.... we'll see what happens.))

With our ranger's help Liet will see if he can remember the way

When they approach the cabin Liet will say "wait here" and will then turn into a spider ((first wild shape!)) And go scout the cabin.

As you get close, you can smell the ripe corpse of the man that was left face down dead in front of the house. You see the pile of ashes from the fire the men had burned. Nothing seems any different than when you left.

On his way back, Liet will pop back into Halfling form, and sprinkle some mushroom spores over the corpse, again casting druidcraft to get them to bloom to aid with decomposition. ((this is kinda his thing coming from the underdark. Get the bodies back to nature quickly)) He'll tell the group "The cabin is about the same as before. McFuddy... can you find any tracks leading from here towards the mountains?"
