cCaptain Greensparrow, sir! We caught a man trying to run. He attacked us, and we captured him. He seems to be a Yuan-ti. What should we do with him, sir!
Ledmo passed through the flaps of the infirmary tent. Cots laid out in two rows stretched before him, many of them occupied with wounded from previous engagements. He had not been here for those, and they looked to be a bit more than an escaping infiltrator. The scent of blood and poultice, dirt and sweat was heavy in the enclosed place. Led took a moment there to absorb it all. Porthole flaps were opened on the sides of the tent to allow some movement of the air, but still the heat was stifling in here and everything seemed damp, steamy. The gambeson under his chain armor was heavy with his own sweat, which continued to bead on his brow and run into his beard. It had been an inconvenience before, but he was beginning to become accustomed to it.
His sharp green eyes scanned the interior of the tent until he found what he was looking for. The attendants were pulling off the gnome's leather armor in order to have better access to the arrow wound in his side. Ledmo's brow furrowed as he headed in that direction. A wound like that, while serious enough, shouldn't have dropped the gnome. As he approached, Led said to one of the gnome's attendants "Mightn' be poison, mightn' be magic, but it be more 'n jus' an' arrow woun'." And then he left them to their business. As they discarded the gnome's weapons, armor, and other belongings, Ledmo gathered them at the foot of the cot, and stood watch over all. If they had questions of him, he would answer to the best of his ability, and when they were done, he would stand vigil until the gnome opened his eyes, unless ordered to do otherwise. "I gotcha, brother." he said quietly when they were done, and set his targe shield and battleaxe against the cot, waiting.

Feldri translates your question to the lizardfolk, who is silent for a moment, before saying something back in draconic. Feldri frowns, if lizardfolk could frown, before turning to you all. "He claims that we already know, since we have attacked their encampment before."
Camp
Ledmo is asked a few questions, such as how the poison entered Corrin's system and if he could produce a sample of it for them to compare with their antidotes to ensure Corrin's safe recovery. The vial of poison from the yuan-ti's possessions is procured and used to concoct a medicine for Corrin to consume upon awakening. Time passes, and soon Corrin awakens, albeit with an uneasy stomach. One of the nurses administers the antidote, nullifying the remaining effects of the poison in Corrin's system.
Meanwhile, Greensparrow looks up from his desk. Seeing Tusk with the man, he adjusts his position. "Bring him here." Lifting up the man's shirt, Greensparrow examines the scales on his body. "Well, he sure is hell looks like it. So what is a yuan-ti spy doing in the swamps? I thought only lizardfolk were out problem down here."
The yuan-ti rolls his eyes as Greensparrow looks up to him for an answer. "Hrmmph hrrrr," the yuan-ti says through the rag in his mouth. Greensparrow takes out the oily rag and the yuan-ti spits off to the side. "Pleh! Gross! Who puts a dirty rag in their prisoner's mouth? Haven't you people heard of treating your prisoners right? They might be more willing to cooperate, you know."
When Corrin awakened, Led gave him a short nod. "Welcome back t'the realm a' the livin', frien'.", he said evenly. "While ya been sleepin', there's been some goin's on." Ledmo then started putting the discarded clothing, armor, and belongings on the foot of the cot, as less than half the surface of it was actually being used at the moment. "We ran down the git tha' did ya like this. Truss'd 'im up an' sen' 'im off t'the Cap'n, we did. Iff'n yer in'erested, 'e's o'er bein' questioned at the Cap'n's tent right now. So, on the occasion tha' ya' 'appen t'be done lazin' 'bout, mightn' be a good time ta fin' out wha's what. Name's Led, by the by. Ledmo Embervein, but Led does me jus' fine." If the gnome needed any assistance getting back into his gear, Ledmo would provide it, and if the gnome wanted to report back to the Captain's tent, Led would accompany him. But, if Corrin didn't feel up to any of those things, it was enough to know that the gnome was awake and aware, and Ledmo would head over to the Captain's once he saw the gnome was in decent condition.
As the prisoner speaks back to captain Greensparrow Pheara growls at him. As she gets his attention she holds up his snake which she still has restrained and says “Snake blood re...respect Chieftain. Tell all what Chieftain want. Else...” With that she bares her teeth, which are far less prominent than they were while she was shifted but still dangerous looking, and moves as if to take a bite out of the snake.
A look of concern will wash over Manon's face. She hasn't been at the camp long, but they definitely haven't launched any attacks against the lizardfolk. "But we haven't attacked before. It's why we're here. Out leaders sent us to find your camp, gather what information we could, and report back."
Having been awoken by the dwarf, Corrin casts his gaze around the medical tent. His mind swims with the confusion of previous unconsciousness, and blinking several times, he slowly returns to his senses. Ledmo's voice was saying something about the prisoner - an interrogation? Corrin shakes his head a few times to make sure he's awake, then sits up. "Ah... yes. Good to meet you, Led. I am Corrin. Thank you for helping me." He reaches down to inspect the bandaged wound where the runaway's arrow had struck him. "I certainly would like to find out what that runaway knew, if possible. If the doctors will let me leave, that is."
Captain Greensparrow, sir, this man we had to gag because he apparently can charm people. He got someone to let him go and try to stop us from catching him. Watch out for what he says. In the meantime, mr.Yuan-Ti, why are you here? And answer Captain Greensparrow.
"Well met, Corrin." Led said with a short nod. "An' all I did was plug the 'ole. These good fella's 'ere gotcha back." He grabbed up his shield from the bedside then, and hefted his double headed battle axe up to his right shoulder. "An' iffen ya wanna be 'eadin' t'the cap'n's tent, then getcher self t'gether an' le's go." He glanced around at any attendants near by, his brow cocking slightly. "No one 'ere's gonna stan' in our way." And he would wait for the gnome to get dressed, before accompanying him out.
*peeks my head in the captains tent* "He still ain't fast enough to avoid a Elven shot" then in Elven to the prisoner (to see if he can understand elven) "Lle bad ie' dodgien sen huh Edan?"
Feldri translates once more, and a look of confusion crosses the lizardfolk's face. Another brief exchange in draconic ensues before Feldri turns back to you. "He is asking you to raise your shirts to prove that you are not 'snakeskins.' Apparently they were attacked by various humanoids that all had snake scales around their navels."
Camp
The yuan-ti stared at Strorat for a moment before turning back to the others at hand. "You're a damn fool if you think the lizardfolk would try and tangle with the Kingdoms of Light. They've never had any reason to start a war with you lot. So the easiest way to get them to do that would be if several yuan-ti raids forced them to consolidate their forces and give the impression that the nearby encampment had something to do with that. And can you just let Ouros go? He's just a snake."
[Pheara must make another DC 12 Wisdom Saving throw or let the snake go.]
Pheara growls loudly back at the prisoner and snaps “Stop magics snake blood. Else Oo...ross... be food. Tell Chieftain where snake bloods....ca...village being.”
See! That was it, captain Greensparrow! He did it again! Look, mr.yuan-ti, you never know. And there were rumors. Wait.... oh no. You wouldn’t have happened to be the ones doing that, would you? Crap.
The snake seems unimpressed with Strorat's attempts to befriend it as the yuan-ti continues. "Of course we were spreading those rumors. It was a three-step process. First, you hit the lizardfolk and destroy their main villages, forcing them to unite. Then, you show up as the Army of Light, claiming that the ones who attacked you are the actual Army of Light encampment. While they duke it out, you slip in spies to keep your men updated on their movements and to feed the lizardfolk information. Easy-peasy." The yuan-ti shrugs slightly, hindered by Tusk's grasp.
Captain Greensparrow's face gradually grows more and more distressed as the yuan-ti describes the situation. "Hugs! I need you in here! Hugs-" Greensparrow is cut short as a man comes flying through the front flap of the tent as if he was thrown by something larger than he. Outside, you can hear the growing clamor of battle, rising from a few clangs of steel on steel to a battlefield.
"Ah. Seems like everyone else noticed." The yuan-ti calmly says. "Well, good luck. I'll be waiting when you get back."

The lizardfolk examines Manon's skin before leaning back, satisfied with what he sees. Then, in broken common, he begins to speak. "We were... attacked. Snakeskins. You call... yu-ti?"

"Yuan-ti. Yes. Take our eggs. Burn villages. We band together. Tribes weak separated, but together we are strong. Army of Light came and say encampment was snakeskins. We raid. But you not know and you Army of Light. I am... confused."
