Zakon looks at Viaya, then Kymel, then to the floor above them. "Perhaps the lass is right. Who knows what else may have moved in while you were sleeping? Making this place safe again would probably be for the best, lest some other poor soul wander in here. Theo?" Zakon looks at Theo to see what he thinks.
"Of course. I honestly hope that whatever has done this heinous act has left this temple, but I would like to know for sure myself," Kymel says, following them.
I'm in class right now and don't have the binder with me, but I believe that Kymel is a lvl 5 Life Domain Cleric that will be able to aid you at this point. I'll need to check for sure what kinds of spells he will have available to help you.
"Upstairs we go then." Viaya nods, starting down the hall before glancing over her shoulder at Kymel. "Any surprises waiting for us on the stairs or the landing above we should know about?" The she elf asks.
((Also, have we not cleared all the rooms on this floor yet?))
Kymel leads you to the stairway, warning you to be mindful of the fifth step. It's a spike trap embedded in the staircase as a last resort in all their preparations. Even without the trap, it is clear that something is wrong. The stairs lead up into the darkness, covered with a trail of long-dried blood. Someone must have set off the trap years ago, but there's not even a trace of a skeleton to be found. Odd...
From the top of the stairs, the room stretches left and right to two identical wings. Long wooden benches rest against the walls. In the center of each wing stands a pillar, carved in the form of Corellon. A pile of empty vials, some smashed, is in the eastern corner of the right wing.
Viayais more than happy to avoid the spike trap on the stairs but is more than a little concerned by the trail of blood leading upwards from it. Her hand resting lightly on her rapier as they move up to the next landing. It opens into two identical wings that seem empty at first glance. The only evidence of anyone having been up here in the past 116 years a small pile of empty and shattered vials in the far corner of the right hand wing. Stepping forward as Theospeaks, Viayatilts her head. "Maybe. One way to find out I suppose." She walks over to the pile, examining the vials for signs of familiar residue or a lingering scent of herbs she might be able to recognize.
If a medicine check is more in line for this sort of thing, it'll only be a 15 total instead of 18
Looking at the vials, it appears to be the same color as the sleeping potion that was doused on the needle by the front door to the temple. Kymel confirms your suspicions. "It's the remains of the sleeping draught. We had a small ceremony in the altar room just beyond those doors, and then administered the drug here. It takes a few hours for the drug to settle in, giving us time to return to our quarters. What happened after that is as much a mystery to me as it is to you. These vials will do no harm now. The potion is long since dried in those old vials."
"Makes sense." Viaya nods, nudging one of the empty vials with her foot as she scanned the rest of the room. "What doesn't make sense however, is a blood trail with no body at the end of it." Walking forward a bit more, the elf circles the pillar at the center of the room. Eyeing the carvings before looking back in Kymel's direction. "Anyone see a corpse around here anywhere?"

"None...none of the bodies looked like Father Elajor," Kymel says nervously, still reeling from the knowledge of his dead friends. "However, if the stair trap was triggered by someone, there should have been a body. But, with the possibility that someone is reviving them for nefarious purposes...I'm not so sure what to expect anymore."
Nothing else is really remarkable about this room other than the empty vials.
Zakon raises an eyebrow at Kymel. "Are there any traps or tricks on the door before we try and open it? Mayhaps I'll just check anyway, since it seems things have been disturbed since you were last aware," he says. He moves towards the doors to the altar, looking for any traps that might hamper them as they try to open the doors.
Following a few feet behind Zakonas he goes to check the doors to the altar room Kymelpoints out to them, Viayasearches the floor for any more traces of blood like what they saw on the staircase. Wondering if the missing corpse might've been dragged or carried in there.
That'll be 19 if perception would make more sense.
