OOC: I can be one of those that are in front. It'd be nice to have someone with a high perception up there as well to look for traps. Possibly giving advantage on rolls.
OOC: Wormsquirt and Thorum are the stealth specialists, and both have darkvision. Thorum's perception is better, but what Wormsquirt lacks in perception he makes up for in extra stealth. The other option is to not worry too much about stealth and we put the fighters first with higher AC and HP.
DM, how far ahead would the stealthier members need to be to make a difference? If someone with a bad stealth roll is following 30ft behind, for example, would there be any point? Would any creatures not just hear those further back and give away the stealthy ones anyway?
(OK, so creatures have a passive perception which if it's higher than a stealth roll are going to hear and see you no matter what. In some case someone would do an active check and it would be perception vs. stealth. If you have a low stealth roll but are still trying to be quiet...The rules are not clear about hearing distance so based on sound of encounter distance I use this... Normal noises can be heard 60' away. 30' if you're trying to be quiet.. You are in a tunnel right now so it's pretty much an echo chamber so that would drop by 10' each.)
OOC: So if we stay 20ft behind them, they should see anything and be able to signal to us to stop before it can hear us, even if we have a fairly low stealth roll? I guess if they spot something from 60' away and we're still another 20' back, then they could signal us to stop and we'll still be 80' away from the creatures, and we should be fairly safe?
OOC: I think I have the highest passive perception in the group and I'm ok with stealth. Also I have the ability to mold the terrain making it a disadvantage for rushing enemies. My AC can handle most of the shots too i think.
Sorry I realize it's kind of a pain in the ass to get a marching order (especially in PbP) but if we can get it established it will probably be pretty much the same for the rest of the campaign and will be simple. I'll make some suggestions to maybe speed things up.
Stealth order: Wormsquirt and Thorum with Belailuin between them but 10' behind. Zarbof and Mysti with Roger watching the rear.
Offense order: Zarbof and Roger, Mysti and Thorum, Belailuin and Wormquirt
Defense order: Zarbof and Roger, Mysti and Beliialuin, Wormsquirt and Thorum
Thanks Mysti. If that's good with everyone else just let me know what order you're in now. Stealth, offense or defense.... and hurry up! I wanna kick your asses in this dungeon :) lol
In seeing the size of the passages you'll have to give me a marching order. You could fit 2 abreast, maybe 3 if they included Wormsquirt and Zarbof

Mysti will stay in the middle like usual.

Mysti tries to stay in the middle of the group always, ready to strike or heal, whatever is needed.
Roger can go wherever bulky fighters are needed/wanted. Most likely beside Zarbof.

I think we should go stealth on this one.
Stealth is fine with me.
Stealth here!

Yeah, stealth sounds good.
"So we just pick a direction and send stealthier ones in ahead. Shall we just take the left passage? Any objections?"
And assuming we're all gong to roll stealth, whichever order and direction, Stealth:5

Alrighty! In situations like this should I do stealth rolls for the group like initiative to speed things up?
Stealth:
Thorum: 18
Wormsquirt: 12
Belialuin: 12
Mysti: 18
Roger: 6
