Ishtar will go after you, and before Nog on this turn. He says, "I have no weapons, or magic. Maybe I can make a nuisance of myself, to help with what you are doing."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“Oof, my head! That hurt! Damn magic works better on shoes!”
I run 30ft down the hallway back towards where Nog came. “No Ishtar, just run try and find a way out ill try and hold this lummocks off! One of us is making it out!”
Another chaotic salvo!: 25
first d8: 1 + second d8: 3 + the d6: 2 = Geeeeez 10 psychic damage
Need some clarification on what you are trying to do and what order you are doing it in. At the beginning of your turn Nog is 5 ft away, blocking your path to the direction you are trying to go. To get past him, you can either give me an acrobatics check to try to tumble or a strength check to try to overrun him. Nog will oppose with the same check. Either way, you will take an attack of opportunity as you run past. Also, please clarify the timing of when you are making this ranged spell attack. At the beginning of your turn, you are in mellee range and you will be attacking with disadvantage if you don't move first.
step two: if hes in my way to go left i will lure him towards me down the opposite way so Ishtar can go left by moving 30ft down the other direction (right)
step three: dink nog with chaotic bolt and give him a headache
Everyone knows that ogres are dumb and prone to letting their anger get the best of them when they feel slighted. So, what do you say (no check needed) to lure him to chase you rather than trying to ensure that Ishtar doesn't escape too?
As you try to move out of Nog's reach, he tries to clonk you on the head again. 24 to hit, doing 5 bludgeoning damage if it succeeds.
As you taunt Nog, move back to the right, and cast your spell, you notice several things all at once. You hear Nog say, "Nog show you who pet" as he shifts his full attention to you. You see Ishtar rattling the keys searching for the one that will unlock his door. You also see another cell, with a silent figure inside, cowering against the back wall. You see that the corridor extends in this direction for an additional 60 feet, and there are two more cells further down the corridor (all together, you are now aware of your cell, Ishtar's, the silent cowering figure's, plus 2 more that you don't know whether they are occupied). You also see past Nog. It appears that behind him, the corridor turns to the right (when you are facing Nog, the cells are on the left) approximately 30 ft past the door of your cell. Once you cast your spell, Nog grasps his head with both of his hands and says, "You make Nog head hurt. Nog gonna squash you!"
[Because it might matter to you, let me also add that when you were abducted, you were not carrying most of your adventuring gear with you. The only thing you had with you was your component pouch, the keys to your house and shop, and a torch. You can decide for yourself if Sully had anything else on him while out for a nighttime stroll in town, but I doubt he was carrying any gold or valuables other than his component pouch. All that stuff is still back at the house.]
It's Ishtar's turn. He tries to find the right key to unlock his cell. On a 3-4, he will succeed. 4
It's now Nog's turn. He charges at you and tries to crush your head between both his hands. 16 doing 5 damage if he hits
It's now your turn. Nog is right on you, blocking you from Ishtar. The cell door of the silent, cowering figure is immediately to your right. You have an additional 60 ft of corridor behind you before the corridor deadends.
I see that Ishtar chose wisely. He escapes his cell, taking the keys with him, and runs 30 ft down the corridor, to the point at which the corridor turns to the right (from his perspective)
If I've counted right, it looks like you've taken 3 hits, and are now at 1 hp. Is that right?
Rolling initiative for the Silent cowering figure: 1
With one hit point left his head throbbing in pain...”Nog you hit me one more time and I might forget where I put that stone, how about you take me to your boss and ill tell him what he wants to know” Sully surrenders to Nog hes not winning this, magic is no where near as cool as he thought it would be. Hopefully Ishtar isn’t wait around
Deception: 9 and bonus action convert my two sorcery points into a first level spell slot
By my count, you've only cast 2 spells. The last hit by Nog was a 16 to hit. Do you not want to have cast Shield as a reaction to make that one miss? If so, you are back at 6 hp and could survive another wallop by Nog.
I thought of that. No I’m just role playing out sully discovering “never before seen magic” doesn’t mean “super power one hit ogre magic” I knew he’d never win. Now he’s into just survival mode while trying to make a play to not go back in the cage so he can figure out what’s going on as well as stalling to give Ishtar time to run
“No you take me to your boss now you overgrown turd or I’ll tell him exactly how easy it was to fool you and get out and that you broke his cell door! You’ll be known as Nog the weak and stupid!”
I don’t even know if you want checks at this point. Sully is just frustrated and more annoyed than anything. It all still seems a little silly and preposterous to him that this is actually happening.
Nog grabs you and pointedly jerks you toward him and says, "Nog master. Dog go back in cage." Nog drags you toward the cells, keeping himself between you and the way out. As Nog's turn ends, you are Grappled by Nog halfway between the cell door of the silent, cowering figure and that formerly holding Ishtar.
You then hear the sound of someone scrambling across a floor. Looking back, you see the mysterious figure is now crouching at the door, and you hear a soft voice say, "Nog, bring!" Saving throw for Nog: 16
Nog passed. Nog says, "You not tell Nog what to do!" You feel Nog's attention shift away from you, as he directs his fury at the crouching creature.
It's now your turn. You are grappled by Nog, halfway between the cell doors, and you can feel the shift in Nog's weight, indicating that he intends to go back toward the crouching figure. He doesn't seem to be loosening his grip on you, though. If anything, he is clenching his fists tighter.
I use the little distraction to slide the piece of leather out from under my clothes and quickly cast mage armor on myself, waiting for a good moment to try and slip out of his grasp and down after Ishtar
Nog drags you back over to where the crouched figure is and reaches his other arm through the bars of the cell door, and tries to bash the figure's head in, while shouting loudly, "Nog is boss. You keep out!" 25

The crouched figure takes a huge bash to the head by Nog, which knocks the coverings from the figure's face. It is a pale skinned woman unlike any you've ever seen. Her hair is a shock of jet black. Her eyes, like yours, are completely white. She smiles at you, reaches out to touch the side of your face, where Nog had been striking you, and at her touch, your headache eases. Your neck feels decompressed. You heal 2 hp. Then, she whispers, "The water may drown us, but it also sustains us and restores us. The water is life." You recognize this as a common blessing given by the clergy of the Water Temple. But this time, for the first time, as she finishes the blessing, you feel restored. You regain another 7 hp And, then she earnestly looks in your eyes and says, "May the river's current carry you swiftly from this place." She has cast Guidance on you.
And as she scampers back to the back of the cell, she shouts "Nog, you stink. Go away." Nog takes another swipe at her as she tries to leave.
Rolling initiative for Ishtar: 5

You see Ishtar continue around the corner and out of sight.
On Nog's turn, tries to roughly grab you and drag you back toward yours and Ishtar's cell. Do you want to oppose his grapple?
I don’t oppose it

It's your turn. Nog has used his Reaction. You are currently Grappled by him. Escape DC is 11
