In the morning Dreos introduces himself to all in the group. Trying to be as unobtrusive as possible. He says he will try to move slowly so you can keep up and you can feel free to ask any questions along the way. He says the path is clear as he just came down it and there shouldn't be any trouble.
"While we start this day of travel where can we find the lair of the dragon. We could have a chance of finding something that will help us in our quest." Halizthan says the gleam of greed in his eye.

Nodding at Halizthan "If I understand correctly you'll be headed to that tower Creos found. Following that path will bring you close to the dragons lair. That's how it came to our attention. Creos notified us of it after returning. The young male you killed has harassed us on more than one occasion but wasn't strong enough to attack us directly. I suspect it was following the trail Creos takes to town and just happened to find you on it. There is much going on with the balance of good and evil. My family and I have tried to keep out of such matters for a long time but it seems we may need to choose sides again."
"Well then let us take what we need and see if it can help us in our quest." The drow says as he smirks and moves his horse faster to hurry towards the lair. While it is not the best hoard they could come upon even a younger dragon could have amassed some riches.

"I understand your eagerness. Killing a dragon is no small feat and I'm sure it and it's mate have accumulated some treasure. I am taking to you to Creos though. I was told you would want his map. If you wish to find the lair on your own I can point you in it's direction but I think coming to Tord first will benefit all. It is, of course, up to you."
Halizthan grumbles loudly in drow, shaking his head but motioning for them to continue onward. "I will go and get this treasure. I want the reward for nearly being cooked to death..."

Rend will go with the flow and follow the Giant. "If there is a mate, that means that no one will be able to easily walk in and claim our prize" Rend would say with a smile. "If the lair was not unprotected, I would rush over at once... but with a mate there we can finish what we started after stopping to see the cartographer." The kobold would say patting the drow on the hip before mounting Herbert.
Still walking in the same direction Dreos says "It is up to you. The lair is a good distance away. I would think maybe 4 or more days hard travel for you from here. You can tarry if you wish but I cannot. I have responsibilities at Tord that this has taken me away from. I wouldn't normally have even come to find you but as a favor to my brother I have done so."
Halizthan hides an annoyed sneer but relents as he nods slowly. "Then we should go there afterwards. It would not do to leave the possible mate when ther3 is a chance for it to harm others in revenge for the death of its mate." The drow says hoping to perhaps appeal to his more good aligned party members. "Besides imagine what Tessa will think if she knows we slayed such an evil beast." He whispers this to Rend.

"If you are traveling to the ruined tower the path you take will bring you closer to the lair. I will let Creos explain further but you will have to travel through the mountains for some time. Although he may have thought it an easy route you may disagree once upon it"
"Don't you worry friend" Rend will say to the drow "I am going to make sure Tessa knows all about the evil dragon we slew" the kobold says with a smile before mounting his mastiff. "Lets get going to Tord, lead the way buddy!" pointing towards the giant.
"But you would leave the mate to cause even more chaos in revenge? That seems like a foolish choice to me." Halizthan says as he moves his horse forward to keep in pace eith the giant. In time he guessed he would have to deal with the possible mate himself if he wanted the treasure.

"Hmm well you bring up a good point Rocky. How far is Creos from here?" She turns to Halizthan. "You seem like you're in a rush, but don't you remember how you were almost burned to a crisp by that," she says while pointing at her broom of dragon parts.
"I want to get to the lair too but there's no point in going straight for it when it's a good four days and we have no map. We don't know what lies ahead, but with a little bit of time we could learn more about the area and likely find more treasure. Plus, my cloaks would be mighty useful once we get them."
Turning to Felicity "Not much farther. Tord is our lower settlement. We should reach it by nighfall"
You continue on mostly following what is now a small stream up the mountain. It has been steep traveling and there have been times you've had to walk the mounts. By afternoon you can feel the air getting cooler. Dreos doesn't say much but will respond if you have any other questions for him.
As the sun starts going down the temperature drops pretty drastically and you need to break out your winter gear. You finally get to an area that is a trail winding it's way around a tall cliff. Dreos points up the trail "We are just at the top of this cliff. Not long now"
Making you're way up the last part of the trail you round the cliff and it opens up into an ancient volcanic bowl. Dreos looks out over the short shrubs and gravel and smiles "Ahh, here we are!"
Continuing down the trail he says "Just this way." and starts making his way down the inside edge of the bowl.
You guys looking down into the bowl don't see any evidence of a town or village. Just a trail wrapping around the inside of bowl that disappears behind the scree and shrubs.
Getting closer to an area where a section of the bowl juts out another Giant seems to morph out of the rock. "Welcome back Dreos. I see you found them. You're brother is waiting" He steps to the side slightly bowing to you all.
