Alesandair, with your 18, you see the mark and recognize it first as a brand. Putting together the pieces a bit, you deduce that brands are often used on slaves, so these babies might have been born into slavery: Combined with the mention of the Underdark, you have heard in your travels of common slaving culturesfrom below--grey dwarves, dark elves, and creatures with strange mind powers. As you look more closely, you see the brand resembles a pentagon with 8 angled spokes, actually it almost looks like a spider. There is a similar mark on each cub's foot.
[Make a sleight of hand check to see how well you hide your tear....Also, as a death cleric, I can see why that song might have significance hahaha]
"I will aid those of you who wish to assist these unfortunate young ones, wherever it takes us. But first We need to hit the road again. we have two days travel to come, job left to finish; and i am eager to march"
"I don't know who speaks for all of you but I feel it is my duty to get these young ones to safety." He thinks to himself about another child in another place. He looks to Ayra to judge whether she is in agreement. "We would like to accompany you to the city," he looks to Morn, Moyba and others, "thank you for offering aid and saving their lives."
He steps to Al to make a request. "Cleric, would you perform "Ceremony" for Corru? It will protect her soul as it transitions to the next world."
[META: You should still RP this out...and I wasn't sure if I should say something or not, but Wraeven, I don't think Alesandair has that prepared (or on his list for that matter), but if you wanted to take the corpse somehow to ensure last rites....??? You might be able to have someone perform this in the city? I think it is a really on point thing for your character to request though. Finally, in case anyone was wondering https://dnd5e.fandom.com/wiki/Ceremony]
Mobya is relieved that everyone else seems concerned with the well being of the poor younglings, and that it settled that they’re coming with us to the city.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Al will pull a blanket out of his pack, and carefully wrap the body up so it kind of resembles a mummy. This way it will be easier on everyone's eyes. As he does this, his mind flashes back to the war that he was involved in as well as all of the allied soldiers he was unable to heal. Realizing he is zoning out again, Alesandair looks up and says:
"If you wish, i can do a short last rites ceremony and we can bury the body here. Otherwise, we can bring it back to the city with us and find a temple there that can perform a proper burial"
[this might not be the best time for proposing to loot the body, but would one of us like to take her shogee or are we planning to bury it with her? I;m not sure if it is visible to me from my stance, but presumably anybody handling the body would be aware of it]

[The shadar-kai train from birth with their weapon, i assume it proper etiquette that they be buried with it as well.

{So glad I didn't propose looting it! *shifty eyes*]
to Al: "Your intent is noble. Thank you for preparing the body. I will see to the ritual when we get to the next town. We should be expecting more attacks on the younglings. I do not think this is over yet."
The merchant will signal Lil and Mobya toward the wagons once he sees that the newcomers appear to be helpful and not dangerous (trusting Morn, Agozur, and Alesandair responses more than his own.). With a slight edge, "Wihl, eefin ya tink weh beh reety fur geeten bek teh weerk...?" Softening at seeing the young ones, "imma kheesin weh beh ahl tem teehnies beh heefin' eh?.... Meehbey a blink ehr tue, Leel, fur reesin' teh speereets?"
"Pa ta wee, streheengehrs, gleed fur teh keendniss. Imma Tehkeen, plessed fur tah mettin' " He will climb in the second wagon cart and wait for everyone to fall in and start travelling.
Anything else anyone wants to do?
If you fall in, what are your positions around the two wagons?
A little meta, but since you suggested it, i will search the bodies of the grims and dog that are in the immediate area [not the one out in the forest] investigation= 19
after that, he will pick up the Shadar-kai wrapped in the blanket and find a spot in one of the wagons for it. strength= 3
Indirectly towards Wraeven, "I know what it is like to lose one of your own, I'm sure you would have done the same for anyone else. Now, let us get this merchant and our new orphans to safety."
Al will return to his original position at the tail end of the caravan.
Mobya safely positions the basket next to her on the coach seat of the wagon, using a small piece of rope to fasten it to the carriage. She plays with the littles for a while, gives them more amora berries to snack on, and hopes that the constant movement of the wagon will help put them to sleep during the trip.
She takes her seat and grabs the reins, and waits to follow the head wagon once they start moving again.
Giving Lil a nudge "This is what Destiny has in store for us friend, are you prepared?" with out waiting for Lil to respond "We will also be accompanying the children but how do we get them in and out of cities, people usually don't look to kindly on Orcs or Goblins of any variety."
Ayra understands very little of what the merchant is saying, as he addresses her and Wraeven. Something about the babies ... and getting back to work ... and she is pretty sure he has just introduced himself to them... In any case, this is clearly his caravan and he seems to be extending a welcome. Ayra bows graciously "Much obliged," she says.
As she watches Mobya loads the babies into the second wagon, she overhear's Agozur's concerns about getting them in and out of the city. "I don't expect that will be too much of a problem," she speaks up, this time with authority, confident that she could persuade any reasonable person to let them pass.
Picking up the pan flute and wiping as much of the mud off as I can, i shove it back down in my pocket, and pull a piece of straw from my bag and my wide brimmed hat. Agozur, if raising children was my destiny I would have stayed on the farm and married me some of that Samarzia girl my mama was so fond of. I am sure by the end of this though Destiny will have provided us quite the tale to tell. Much like that incident with that milk merchant, ha, remember that Agozur, whattt a storyyy! Climbing back up into my original seat beside the merchant I will lean over to him So anyways friend, back to that story I was tellings you, there I was knee deep in cow dung, the gate wide open, the bull was eyeing me up something fierce, and the rain started coming down like a river. Leaning back on my pack as a pillow, placing the wide brim hat atop my head, and the straw between my lips My Pa was something fierce when he saw the cows had all escaped but he failed to realize the bull was a little more fierce, boy did he get a shiner on his leg.
With a slightly embarrassed look Agozur will make his way to the front of the cart while muttering under his breath "I thought we weren't going to talk about the 'milk story' anymore Lil, nobody needs to know about the 'milk story'... Even our Destiny is embarrassed by the milk story."
