Drusk races south to wave his mace at Stirge7 (11), which is harassing Molly. Stirge8, down by Jalester, pulls out of its victim and takes off, weaving drunkenly towards the well, and Jalester, torn, turns and rushes to Molly’s side, spearing Stirge7 through with his longsword.
To the north, Ilena rushes over, acrobatically leaping a few dead bodies, and delivers two strikes to Stirge6, the second one landing and splattering it (16 for 7 dmg).
Pascal feels a soothing breeze, and the flicker of consciousness returns as a young woman steps out of the back room and casts Healing Word on him (+6 hp). He lumbers to his feet, ”Alright, let’s try this again...” and lets loose a magical cone of destructive fire at the troll… which manages to dodge to the side, avoiding the brunt of it (Save 20, 7 dmg).
Unfortunately, it stepped right into Meloon’s third and fourth swings with his mighty glowing battle axe, and it falls beneath his chopping (25 and 22 for 25 dmg!) to lie in a massive, inglorious, charred heap.
Durnan and Jorin stop their swinging (well, Jorin caught up in his rage probably gives the corpse one good hack) as the thing lies there, quiet.
Hildi, smoothly knocking another arrow, pivots from Stirge6 (and Ilena standing over it with a bloody fist), to the troll, (down with four heroes standing over it), and sights further out, letting loose and spearing Stirge8 as it made for safety (14 for 9 dmg). Arrow and dead stirge disappear down the well.
End of round: The fire continues to burn merrily against the southern wall, but staff are addressing it, and the new cleric, Obaya, is rushing south as well.
Notes: Yay! Everything is dead! Including some patrons!
End of combat
Ending Map:
Sitrep: The troll is really dead, it took fire damage and dropped to zero in the same round. Pascal and Ilena are hurting. The fire is being handled by staff and Obaya, who will cast Control Flames. There are five patrons down, Jalester stabilized one, the others are being looked at by staff.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. Here's my D&D stuff. I love it so.
Jorin, lost in his rage, does indeed give the troll corpse a few parking hacks causing green viscera to spray up and into his face. After a few moments, the look in his eyes fades away and he takes a few long, heaving breathes. He cleans gore off his axes as he looks around the room for his companions saying, "Is everyone alright? Pascal? Hildi?"
Ilena’s hands are shaking, and she steadies herself on the Volo’s table before sitting, her breathing heavy and the chronic cough rising from her chest. She pulls a piece of cloth from her belt and dabs the blood coming from the corner of her mouth, then tries to clean the blood from her hands.
Once her hands are mostly clean she wrings them together. She’s never seen so much death, much less monsters and violence. The only blood she had seen was from sparring or the occasional corpse that the monks had to tend to. Once her hands steady somewhat, she pulls out her journal trying to record some of the details of what transpired.
She’s not sure how to feel; the adrenaline and excitement still pumping through her veins, but the fear of death and sorrow for those injured and dying weighing heavily as well.
She pulls her cup to her lips and downs the rest of her drink then stares blankly at the open pages of her journal.
Volo takes sympathy on the girl, who clearly is distraught. "Mistress Casquinha, you acted quickly and with decisiveness to protect the innocent. If it gives you pause, if you find you wish to never have to do so again, that makes your actions even more worthy. Those heroes you see out there," he waves with his fountain pen, "Some of them have lost sight of that."
You don't know who he is referring to exactly. The pen wave was vague, not pointed.
Then he clears his throat, and resumes a broad smile. "This was so very exciting, what heroes we have in our presence!" He climbs out of the booth, and heads over towards the remains of the troll, and the people standing there.
If Yagra is mostly (but not entirely) dead, Drusk will use his last spell slot to cast Cure Wounds on her. If she is pushing up daisies, find the next most critical customer and use the spell there... After that, help out where he can (Medicine proficiency).

Head Thug is lying there unconscious, next to dead Yagra and dead troll.
Meloon steps up to Jorin and says, "I see you wield double axes, friend!" He brandishes his axe, a spectacular specimen of craftsmanship, with a blue sapphire embedded, handle wrapped in some kind of blue hide, blades glowing faintly blue. "I have found one good enough, but I warrant you could be very effective with them. I am Meloon Wardragon, hero, adventurer, and recently of Force Grey! I would buy you a drink to toast this fiend." You are not sure if he just indicated the troll, or Yagra.
Durnan rolls his eyes. "I just bought them drinks, Meloon."
Force Grey is a much storied group of adventurers sworn to the defense of Waterdeep, under the command of the Blackstaff.
Jorin, seeing that the thug is still breathing, makes a mental note -Drusk owes me five dragons.
He raises a hand and pats his stomach saying to Meloon and Durnan, "There is plenty of room in Jorin's belly for many a drink." He smiles and extends that hand to Meloon, "Jorin Maul, of the Bodt. That is a fine axe indeed." He eyes the weapon, noting the craftsmanship and unusual hues. "A cutter of threads to be sure, but I am saddened to say I do not recognize its make."
