"Everyone is now here, Amythest," LT says to the female shifter. I think you should start by telling everyone what you know."

As the rest of you fall into the room, you see that it has enough beds or cots for all of you, a few dressers and two large windows on the North and South sides of the room. (The Northern window opens to a small balcony that 3 medium sized creatures could fit on.) Amethyst turns around and moves to a chair. As she speaks she looks at all of you in turn, everyone except Isuzu. 

"There are problems here, problems that have gone unseen by the crown for years. Our people in the interior are struggling. The bandits are raiding caravans in and out of Tall Vine. Delthorn itself has seen a fifth (5th) of its livestock come up missing over the past year. And then Gregorsin... no word has come from the locked up forest fort for over a month. This all of you may know, but what you don't know is about what lies beneath the culture here. We Reachers have no love for Aundair or their Crown. Most of us live simple lives, but they are dangerous. Even in a beautiful port town such as this."

"The Wardens of the Wood are good folk who try as much as the can to keep the peace. But between watching over the Eldeen and the Gatekeepers holding the seals, it's up to the rest of us to protect ourselves. Sometimes, the people of the Reaches will fall in with those who only wish ruin. Or the return to the natural order of things. 

"Bandits to the North have been wreaking havoc on the good people up there for some time. Years and years. but lately, they have become brasher. More organized. To the South, an unseen force has been stealing cows, pigs, and sheep from the town of Delthorn. The Mayor, a very loud and annoying Dragonborn by the name of Mishann Skaarzborroosh, has been asking for aid from the surrounding communities for some time. Resources are thin with the War raging all around the Reaches and Aundair demanding more and more of our reserves.

"And Gregorsin... a town I know well. All reports have said the town is empty, the only thing still standing is its outer walls. The town inside has been reduced to ash. I have my suspicions about what may have transpired there, but this is only a feeling and not fact."

Kora listens attentively, but does not speak up.

Isuzu listens as best she can, given her current state and does not speak up or question rather she just suffers silently through her exhaustion and pain still unable to bring herself to trust any of the locals here.

"What do you think happened to Gregorsin?"

She says two words, but they roll off her tongue with contempt and disgust, "The Ashbound." She visibly shakes when she says their name. 

"Aye, I have heard of them. Really extreme beliefs, closer to terrorists than the heroes they claim to be." Sarge pulls out his pipe and sits on the floor, his back against one of the beds. "This is what we're up against? Eco-terrorists and bandits?"

"Misq, it's the mission. Whether they are loyal or not they are sovereign to Her." The LT stands up and says, "Tell them the rest, Amethyst. Please."

"There's a battle coming. These three villages are just the start, they are starting to pull numbers. Good people, a lot of them are, just blindly falling into this cause because Aundair forgot about us. My brother... he was in Tall Vine. I believe he is with the Ashbound or one of the bandit clans now." Amethyst puts her head down in shame. 

"Well, we could go investigate Gregorsin and see if your suspicions are true as well as confirm that there aren't any survivors."

Damn it GMOAT, updating before I get a post out. 

Kora clears her throat. "I recall when we discussed this on the ship, we thought it might be best to work our way into the situation? Quickly, because there is clearly great need, but we'd be poorly served by jumping in unprepared. I think we talked about dealing with Delthorn first, perhaps lay the ground for our mercenary company to be accepted in the other towns?"

OOC: Thanks Mingo. I genuinely forgot what our mission was.

"My comrade here has a good idea. If we help them out, they might be more willing to work with us."

Kashkaval

The Minotaur, standing besides Kora nods his head in agreement.  "Aye, I suspect our group will be less suspicious if we were to start where they are already expecting assistance from mercenaries."

Isuzu 

Isuzu leaning back listens and nods in agreement, "sounds reasonable to me, I have no objections to that."

Sylrie

Sylrie sits up on the bed still taking deep breaths of the mixture that was put under his nose. He was feeling better but still not completely well, "Sounds like a plan ladies and gents" he rested his hand on his stomach 

"Then we should get to it. Thank you, Amethyst. I am sorry it took so long for the Crown to respond, hopefully, us being here will help." The LT walks towards the door and opens it, "If we need anything else I know where to find you. Be safe, ranger."

Amethyst stares at Dot for a moment, nods her head and walks out of the room. When she is gone, the door is closed by Dot and she says to the group, "If we leave now we should be in Delthorn before the sun sets. It's time to get to work." 

She grabs her bag off the bed and looks over at Sylrie and Isuzu, "Are you two good to ride?"

OOC: @Gmoat, or I did need to do Isuzu at Disadvantage since she didn't receive treatment, I can do another roll and you can take the lowest if needed, just let know, no problem. Then again maybe the treatment was poison??? Do I have a suspicious and untrusting mind or what? :)

Percival backs up from Sylrie and Isuzu, still cautious that they might violently expel their dinner.

Kora stands up, checks out on the balcony and the street below (Perception: 9) and then gathers her stuff (which she never unpacked, so good to go).

On the way down the stairs she will again scan the common room for anyone that stands out. (Perception: 7)

OOC > Sigh. Suspicious but not perceptive.

Kashkaval

Kash is wearing or carrying all he has, so he just follows Kora down the stairs.

Percival

Seeing his comrades starting to head down and not having left his possessions anywhere, Percy follows Kash and Kora, but not before jokingly saying 'Ave fun you two!" in his mercenary accent before leaving the room and going down the stairs.
