"Selinae..." she says in a soothing voice. "I am sure that that is not Silvers's intend. We are not murderers and we will not stoop to such. I myself follow the ways of her most holiest, the Lady Mystra, who does not take kindly to such underhanded ways. Come back in, this entire situation was not handled how we had planned and things have clearly been muddled. No one has lied or intended to humiliate anyone."

Silver just smiles looking around as he begins to deal the man a hand "No my friend has just had a little to much to drink well we played a game of cards. In fact I was putting my two swords up against his boots right when everyone started getting heated." he just looks at the man with a smirk "In fact, he's an old colleague of mine. We were going to head out and settle things in a bit. I think everyone should just calm down - I know he looks evil, but really..." his eyes narrow "He's a pathetic worm who couldn't hold his own in hand to hand combat. I mean look at his lankiness and weak wrists - does this look like a killer assassin to you."
He continues to lock eyes with the drow as he talks to his companions "He's not the one - just let us play our card game in peace and we'll try to find the assailant later. After I win my friends boots that is and take him to my favorite inn where we can finish an old business deal. Is that alright with you friend."
The Drow lets out an unconvincing laugh and in a jovial tone (in common no less), "Win my boots will you? You game must have improved greatly. Come, let's continuing our gambling."
Vassa, carrying three cups of ale, is walking toward an empty table and motions the two of you over to it, "This would probably be better than trying to play at the bar, fellas."
Once the Drow, Vassa, and Silver are seated the Drow looks to the other two and, in a deadly serious tone (in undercommon) says "My name is Soluun Xibrindas. I have fought and killed many for coin but I kill half-breeds for free, to keep our Fey bloodline pure. In all my years I've had exactly two people escape and now you're both here, willingly sitting at a table with me. I know not your game but I very much tire of it. I assume you're distracting me until that Goliath returns with the guard. Were it not for concern of my employer's business interests in Waterdeep, I'd kill you both and just leave before being arrested. But since that is not an option for me, I will make you an offer this one time. Allow me to walk free and I will not hunt you. I will forget the blemish you've caused to my perfect record." with a smile he adds, "I will even agree to stay away from the manor you're both living in." Continuing on with evil in his eyes, "But if you back me into a corner, I will kill whomever I need to in order to escape; including all the innocent folks in this very tavern."
OOC: Dang good rolls Salinae! You're up there waiting.
Kestrell sighs again as he watches Phaedra chase after Salinae. As Vassa and Silver converse with the Drow, Kestrell thinks to himself:
"What in the hells have I gotten myself into? I've got no idea what's going on, I just wanted to find a pair of boots. Hunting wolves in a blizzard is easier than this. And a lot more fun as well."
Phaedra huffs as the goliath runs off, "Fine! As unreliable as most Waterdavians..."
Turning on her heals she heads back into the tavern. "That woman is...uahh. Crying like a little girl. And Vassa for that matter as well. Why do we even make plans? No one ever pays any attention."
She heads over to Kestrell and turns on her chair to face the conspiring triumvirate. "Vassa and Silver, what by the seven hells are you two up to? He's either the drow that tried to kill you both or he's not. It truly is that simple. Detain the villain while we fetch the guard or unhand him with a sincere apology."

Silver just goes cold, slowly taking a sip of the alcohol that Vassa brought over, as he replies to the man in undercommon "Ironic that your end will be at the hands of two half-breeds then. I'm not as naive as my companions and know you're clearly able to stay under the radar - I'm assuming you have several backup plans should anything every risk your detection. We have no evidence other than your sword, but you could easily say you lost it in a bet. I doubt anyone would believe he stole an actual sword off of you. We could take this to the Yawning Portal, after all adventurers meet many accidents down there all the time, don't they."he begins to deal the cards out to the man as Phadrae walked back in and began to talk.
Silver let's her finish and waits a moment "What physical evidence of the attack do we have - like Soluun here said earlier, it will look like you're just accusing another drow. For now all we want to do is finish this game, from there we will decide what needs to be done. Without this he will be released and we will look like we made a story up. In most cases I doubt they would employ magic to help prove our case. So unfortunately, for now, he gets to go free due to lack of evidence - that's our justice system."he just begins to play the game revealing his hand.
Elon watches Phaedra chase after Selinae then come back and the Drow sit at a table with Silver and Vessa. He thinks Silver has a plan but isn't sure so he sits down with Kest and observes.

"Looks like you win again. Too bad you forgot to place a wager that time." Soluun says with a smirk. "I assume you intended it to be the same as last time?" as he slides a gold piece across the table. "It seems we're in a bit of a standoff. Part of your group wants to have me arrested. You two no doubt want to see me dead. I want to see both of you dead." Glancing over his shoulder to Elon, "And him as well. But none of us can actually do anything here for fear of the law. How do you propose we end this? A compromise where none of us get what we want, perhaps?"
Silver looked at the man "No made it pretty clear it was the swords for the boots there. In fact I believe everyone here heard you acknowledge it with the phrase "Win my boots will you? You game must have improved greatly. Come, let's continuing our gambling." he just smiles for a moment as he slides back the gold "Now your boots please sir as the bet was. As for how we end this, there are several options that get us what we want. We have a cleric right here which means that we could participate in a duel. Though they are seldom to the death, if the first blow happened to be a fatal by some unfortunate circumstance why that would just be an accidental shame and by the law of Waterdeep any offense committed by either party that established the reason for the duel would be seen as paid in full and the one who accidental killed his opponent wouldn't be held responsible."
Silver pauses taking a sip of his drink "Now please, your boots I did win them fair and square."
Growing visibly agitated Soluun glares at Silver and Vassa. He pulls his pistol from his belt and lays it on the table pointing toward Vassa. "This is growing most tiresome and I'm quite ready to go. Will you and your group allow me to leave or will need to fight my way out? You want the boots, fine. I'll buy more. But I'll not removed them while being held hostage." And with a wicked grin, "Besides, I would hate to have to kill you all while barefooted. What's it going to be half-breed?"
Silver smiled as he put away the deck "Now we can get the guards or you can give my boots. You see Intimidating a citizen, which we do have proof of now since you so elegantly placed your gun on the table, is a crime according to the code legal. I'm also sure that if the guards would be called they would be interested to know that my friend was attacked by a very similar weapon and with your recent threats against us, that's at least enough to detain you for a couple days while a thorough investigation is conducted." he paused, taking a sip of his drink "I wonder what would the City Watch find if they dug into your history. Even more so if they had a little help from the Harper's Guild in discovering further information. Now you maybe right and maybe able to kill us all and run, but as you said earlier you most likely wouldn't be able to avoid the City Watch and then you would have at least one if not more counts of unjustified murder on your hands which would put you away for a very long time. So sir, you can either be a noble gentlemen and fulfill our bet or I can have the City Watch involved and claim my reward that way." Silver just stares into the mans eyes "Also, I wouldn't be mean and make you walk home barefoot - you can walk a mile in my shoes. After all I won't be needing them since I have those fine pieces of clothing now."

Soluun then finishes off his cup of ale, pushes the gold piece on the table over to Vassa, "For the drinks." he says as he stands, hand on his pistol. He nods once to Vassa and Silver, turns and nods once toward Elon. Then, rather than going toward the front door, he proceeds to rear of the building toward the kitchen.

She narrowed her eyes through the bar windows to see if she could see the drow.
Silver just smiled looking at Vassa "Of course, sorry that we couldn't get him this time. As I was moving everything in my head I realized that we would lose out if the actual watch got involved since he definitely looked better dressed and probably had connections from the way he talked. Selinae looked at her in disbelief, " Nay, but I'll see for myself."
" Go back in if you choose, but I'd advise you not to."
With a curt wave she turned from the main street and into an alley out of Phaedras sight.
Once out of sight she'll scale the building across from the bar and sit on the roof watching what happens inside.
