Kestrell turns to her.  "Alright, painter lady, we killed the rats for you, you don't want to give us the information we were looking for, so we'll be on our way.  Are you going to give us any trouble as we walk out of the room?"

"It shouldn't need to be like that Elon, there is a right way and a wrong way, we are trying to protect Waterdeep. I just wish she would understand us, that we have no idea and no interest in her past lover."

Kalain just glares at you all, with madness in her eyes.

Looking deep into the woman's eyes gives Kestrell an idea: "Phaedra, do you have any sort of calming spell or some way to detect if she is magically crazed?"

Silver just sighs as he notes Elons gaze “She’s right, the only people who would torture a mad woman and expect to get anything in return are either stupid or sadistic.”

He just turns his head back to the stairwell “We could try just exploring more?”

Selinae now looks confused as to what she should do....

"I agree Kest, we need to explore around more but we can't have her attacking us as we do so."

"It has been a long morning (?) and I have excreted many prays to calm her already, to no real avail. I will see if I can detect the presence of Mystra's power on her but if I need to dispel it, than I am afraid I will no longer be able to call on my more powerful prays this day."

Detect Magic does not reveal anything on Kalain.

"Well... shes not under the effects of magic or has any magic on her. Maybe its a matter of the mind?"

"Well, let's just leave her in this room and walk away."  Kestrell starts heading for the door and looks to see if she notices.

Kalain just continues to glare at you all but doesn't move from where she was put.

 Kestrell sighs with relief.

Once they get out of the room: "Great, let's pair off and look around.  Buddy system.  Who's with me?"

Selinae gratefully makes her exit at speed, headed for the basement.

Elon follows behind Kest,
