(the moment more characters appear, as in Sister Muna or whoever, Tock will activate his Gem of Seeing once again and check the people and surroundings as inconspiciously as possible)
"What did this herald and reformed thief say? Could we talk to the thief? Why do you think it's a good idea for us to see the minotaur again, and do you know of any religious or divine vulnerabilities of those who ally themselves with hellspawn? Do you know of a way for such people to be able to scry or seek out our location using divine magics? Are the grounds of this temple consecrated at all? Would a devil or a friend of a devil be able to easily walk in here? Do you have a way to seek out the herald, or any other divine representatives from the heavens? We would really like the chance to hear heaven's side of things, and confirm that the deal includes Nev choosing the warlock. If she has, it's her choice. But we don't want to be swindled, especially if it involves putting on a cursed necklace."
He'd like to check to see who is listening/watching from the other parts of the temple (perception: 21) as well.
Dog's questions come rapid fire, sometimes evoking a chuckle from Sister Muna and a "Slow down, my child," from Mother Gyllis.
"Since the talks are over, I don't think it will compromise our spy for you to speak with him," says Sister Muna. "He would not tell me what he learned, since it was for the ears of angels only." She smiled at the thought. "My job was to seek him out....because, well, he is a cousin of mine."
To Dog's questions about vulnerabilities, Mother Gyllis knits her brows together in confusion. "You mean, do those who work with the Hells have some vulnerability they would not otherwise have? I've never heard of such a thing. As for the minotaur, I don't think it is a good idea, necessarily. It just seems like an obvious path to find the girl's mother. He knows where she is. Nothing more. Obviously he is a dangerous person, so I shouldn't need to say that if you wish to seek out Gentoa's mother via that route, tread lightly."
"Yes, these grounds are consecrated," says Sister Muna.
"We consecrate it every tenday," says Mother Gyllis. "No demon or devil would fare well in here. That said, it is not a pure shield from evil. As for scrying, I've heard of such magics but it is not any of our specialities."
"A herald will always seek out rather than be sought out," says Sister Muna, looking to Mother Gyllis for confirmation. The priestess nods.
"It sounds like you have spoken with celestials in the past," says Mother Gyllis. "Even if it has been some months. Perhaps they wish to speak with you as well. We can offer prayers to the gods, but as long as you hide, it is from the devils as well as the angels."
(the moment more characters appear, as in Sister Muna or whoever, Tock will activate his Gem of Seeing once again and check the people and surroundings as inconspiciously as possible)
"Thank you, mother and sister. Well, friends, it seems we either try again to speak to Nev and see if she can tell us more than she has and then tomorrow after we rest, try to go seek out the minotaur, or we seek him out today. Gash I know you are a bit tapped out on magical capacity. But my question is what do we do when we find the minotaur? I think Nev called him Jabrael or something similar? Do we fight him and whoever he has with him? To what end? The goal is to find Nev. Could we subdue him and force him to tell us? I'm skeptical of that. Do we have a choice between accepting his conditions for seeing Nev (the collars) or telling him no, him attacking us, and us defending ourselves by attacking him? We could try charming him, which would be hard in a battle, but it might be the best option."
Tock goes and monitors the street outside, keeping out of sight himself. He looks back at Dog and says, "I'll back soon" and then slips out into the crowd.
He will make his way back to the gates of the garden and look for nearby merchants or street performers or anyone who would have seen people coming and going through those gates in the last couple of hours. He's essentially trying to track the minotaur through people who may/should have seen him come or go.
"I was hoping that we could draw him out and and could go in looking as him, but we don't know where to go. I told Friend to follow him but right now I think Friend is outside of my communication distance. Maybe I can try..."
Gash tries to dismiss Friend into the pocket dimension and have him reappear in front of him.

After an hour or fruitless questioning, the only thing Tock can learn is that the Minotaur stormed away from the botanical gardens and possibly headed north on Helm Street.
Gash:
Friend is very excited and agitated when he reappears. "I followed him north into a residential district. He stopped at a house with a high wall and a courtyard. He had just left when you summoned me back. He seemed to be heading back towards the center of town."
"I had Friend tail the minotaur, he went to some tall building... he just left. I know a spell that could make me look like him -- maybe I can sneak in and find Nev... Maybe I can bring in Dog as a prisoner that way it wont just be me and friend in there."

"Do we want to keep Genny with us or leave her here in the temple as we seek out the minotaur, if that's what we're doing? The whole group could stay hidden in an alley near that tall building and then the two of us could go take a look?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sister Muna and Mother Gyllis are estatic to watch over Gentoa for a little time. Before Dog and the rest of the party leave, they find the child gleefully playing with a room filled with preistesses and acolytes, clapping and giggling as Gentoa sings "I Saw the King", butchering many of the words.
Walking up Helm Street, the group encounters no minotaurs and definitely no demons among the pedestrian traffic filling the large street. Flying high, Friend spies the garden and is able to orient himself, leading the party further up Helm Street. Shops and taverns and temples give way to fine houses. Some clearly belong to nobles or wealthy merchants. The amount of traffic slows and changes to mostly women in their finery or servants out and about on errands for their households. Friend circles lazily over a two-story estate on the east side of the street. It is definitely not the tallest house in the neighborhood, but it is protected by 12-foot high walls. Broken glass lines the top of the walls. The wrought-iron gates are closed and locked. No guards or attendants stand by the gates.
Gash will slip into an alley and cast disguise self to look like the Minotaur they saw before. He then will use minor conjuration to make some false manacles with a faulty latch for Dog to wear. Ready to approach the building when the others are ready

Give me an investigation check for Tock.

Tock investigation (with a little prayer to Tymora for additional Guidance): 10
Tock:
After an hour or fruitless questioning, the only thing Tock can learn is that the Minotaur stormed away from the botanical gardens and possibly headed north on Helm Street.
Gash:
Friend is very excited and agitated when he reappears. "I followed him north into a residential district. He stopped at a house with a high wall and a courtyard. He had just left when you summoned me back. He seemed to be heading back towards the center of town."
Friend:
"Is it far? We should go at once."

"I can lead you from the garden. I don't know where we are right now, though."
"I had Friend tail the minotaur, he went to some tall building... he just left. I know a spell that could make me look like him -- maybe I can sneak in and find Nev... Maybe I can bring in Dog as a prisoner that way it wont just be me and friend in there."

(OCC: I love this idea. *chewbacca roar*)
Dog is game if the others are!!
Tock comes back and just doesn't say anything after listening to what Gash has to say.
"Do we want to keep Genny with us or leave her here in the temple as we seek out the minotaur, if that's what we're doing? The whole group could stay hidden in an alley near that tall building and then the two of us could go take a look?"
"I think Genny will be safe here. This could be very dangerous."

Before they leave, Gash leaves the FeyTok toy with Genny, "Be good." he pats her on the head and heads off.
