So then, the accords are over? Is there anything left to do? Did you sign a contract or something? Did you only hear the offer of the warlock? What about the others? Do you receive anything out your deal? I’m sorry I’ve been spending so much time with Dogear he’s wearing off on me.

Neventi nods. "Yes, they ended about a week ago. I have signed my part then, at least. I didn't have much to do with the negotiations but I did have to agree to my parts of it. I didn't so much as get offers as agreed to a path that kept Gentoa and me safe and help stop the impending war."
The streets are filled with a rich cacophony of scents, including foods, waste, perfumes, people, animals, dried plants from an herbologist, and the distinctive odor of oiled leather and sweat. Martin is able to track the scent to an alley where the assassin appears to have dropped down from the rooftop. This takes about 30 seconds, but that is a long time for an assassin to find his way to safety. The trail here is a little easier to follow for two blocks before it enters a main thoroughfare. Here, the trail becomes more difficult.
The footprints are lost on the well-trafficked road but the scent remains. It has become so mixed by the crowds, though, that it is difficult to identify the direction the assassin went by scent or tracking now.
Dog replies to Gash: "went to meet Muna's reformed thief Accords spy in gardens, he was just assssinated. Lost trail, heading back to body. Frustrating. Girls okay?"
Dog wheels back to the gardens with a grunt after losing sight of the assassin and heads to the body of the man who was killed. Who is there?
"Sorry, the only zoo I know about is in Alciondria. The circus usually comes to town in the summer time, though!"
Martin:
Athletics: 16
(Ignore if rolling a critical failure, otherwise): Martin climbs up a brick wall using only the tips of his fingers. At the top of the building, he looks up and down the thoroughfare trying to spot the man in dark leathers. (Perception: 25). Martin cannot see the assassin. He does spy a Goliath a couple blocks down on a rooftop looking desperately for...something?
Dog:
What seems like an interminable amount of time passes as Dog scans for where the assassin may have gone with no luck. Suddenly, about 120 feet away, someone climbs up the wall of a building and peers into the crowds in all directions. This person is NOT clad in dark leathers and appears to be a slightly bigger build than the assassin.
Dog pauses his flying (he's been using his winged boots for the chase) and turns to the man looking around and shouts "Neighbor! Have you seen a man in dark leather armor with a crossbow running away? He shot someone in the garden and has made me very grumpy."
"....that's who I just asked you about, I think. They shot someone in the garden, someone who I suspect I was supposed to meet about something rather important. It's made me cross. My name is Dog. Who are you and why we're you looking for them? I should get back to the garden to see if it's really what I fear and the person I was supposed to talk to is dead."
once the conversation is done Dog will fly back to the garden by way of the rooftop where he spotted the shooter and look for anything, big or small, left behind. Then he will fly back to the body and whoever is there.
“Sorry, I’m afraid I lost him. I saw him, and saw him shoot but I didn’t see who he shot. I’m sorry about your friend. I can’t seem to sort the crossbowman from the rest of the crowd,” Martin says with another deep sniff. His form changes like a slow relaxing of muscles and form, with his ears shrinking to a more usual size, and his body to a less agitated pose.
Martin is wearing a pair of heavy leather pants, with pant legs tied tight to his boots. He’s has a hardened leather jacket with metal studs throughout which straps tight across his chest. An old pack across his back and a few odds and ends strapped to it, along with a particularly expensive looking bow, and a pair of bracers on his arms that look newer.
”I’m Martin. Would you like some help? No charge, I’m... well, to be honest, I’m looking for some new work, and I could use the experience familiarizing myself with the city. Otherwise, no one will hire me. I won’t hold you back, I’m still a fair hand for ‘specialty’ work, like this.”
A few minutes after the attack, a goliath flies down into the garden using magical boots. Althus (I'll leave the description to Persuasion) kneels with Ritter in front of the statue of Lathander. No sounds of the city watch or distressed citizens disrupt the tranquility of the garden. Coming shortly behind the goliath is another man, climbing down from the roof, dressed in tan studded leather. He carries a bow rather than a crossbow. Both look somewhat dejected.
Althus stands and turns towards the pair, putting on a metal helm as he does so (for anyone familiar with Darth Vader's comic, it looks like Darth Momin's). He stands slightly higher than six feet tall, and has two large crab arms protruding from his shoulder blades, the tips of the claws digging into the ground. He wears simple splint with vertical bands of metal bound tightly together.
Swinging a heavy maul around, he addresses the newcomers, "You don't seem the assassin type, but maybe you're the cleanup crew. Who are you?"
(Did Dog see either Althus or Martin when he was in the garden, pre-assassination? Assume Althus is the person he saw walking with Ritter?)
"Help is something I could use, if you're offering!" Dog says to Martin, reaching out to shake hands. "I'm new to the city too, but we've got a lot to do, and it seems important. I'd tell you more, but I'm working with some friends of mine who I should check with first. But if you're in the mind to be helpful, let's go take a look at the crime scene. I was really hoping to talk to someone named Ritter who I hoped knew something about this rather important task we've become involved with. Do you like demons and fiends? Or are you more of an angels and unicorns cat?"
Getting back to the garden, and hearing Althus' remonstration and threats, Dog reels back, hands going closer to a javelin but not drawing it yet. He's a very tall Goliath, pale skin and no tattoos. Very fine splint mail covers his body, and his pack has plenty of weapons poking out of it. His voice is very deep, seemingly used to shouting on a battlefield or a crowded room, but the cadence of his voice runs at a very fine clip and he enunciates like a scholar, all seemingly without thought.
"You...." he points at his boots, and the direction he flew as soon as the assassination happened, "you didn't see or hear me take off in flight from here a minute ago after that crossbow bolt hit home from THAT roof? I went off after the person who fired it. Cleanup crew? Nope. I was supposed to meet a man named Ritter here, though I don't know him. I know his cousin, a sister, Muna, at the temple of Tymora. I fear that's him, though. Do you know him? Why were you here? Can you put that maul down unless you intend to use it? Though with those hands, maybe you don't need the maul. I'm Dog. This is Martin, I just met him. He seems to be upset about assassinations like you are. I like that. World's gone crazy. Need more people like that."
Dog will kneel down next to the body and see if there is anything to be done for him. "I should bring his body to Tymora's temple to see if there's anything they can do. His sister deserves to know."
To Gash's second Sending, Dog replies, "Yes amulet bad, will get scroll if I can. Can you? Someone killed Accords spy I was to meet. Will bring body to Tymora, then head to you."
(Did Dog's examination of the rooftop yield anything? And he should still have detect magic going -- does he see anything there, or on the man's body?)

Tock asks a random passerby, "Is there a zoo in Masa?"
Can I make a last ditch effort at getting somewhere tall and hoping I can catch a glimpse of him somewhere on the road?

Bulwark would have gone with Gash. I like to imagine he just kinda stands there bemused as Gentoa draws on him.
