Before transforming, Keyrie will take out her 50 ft of Rope and place is on the ground, then Wild Shape, into a giant wolf spider. Keyrie will then carefully wrap Gash in webbing around herself to make a kind of harness with him stuck to the underside of her body. She will then climb to the under side of the bride and travel across it, leaving webbing behind her so that if she falls she will not fall far, and to help anchor herself to the bridge.
“Oh wow this is quite nice. I do say. Thank you very much. You know I don’t think we were ever that close before but but I feel like we’re reaching a new stage of friendship.”

Gash- Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
Keyrie, with Gash webbed to her back, scuttles across the bridge, wending her way to the underside to avoid the waterfall and approaches the large gear underneath. Meanwhile, 40 feet below, Tock slips on his climb, but Dog has a hand up to catch him, preventing a painful spill (Tock did NOT receive 6 damage from falling). This allows Tock to reach a more secure foothold and finish the climb, arriving at the granite platform just ahead of Keyrie.
Tock is able to quickly take the steps, which lead to a smaller, cramped platform just underneath the overhang at the back of the large gear. Peering into the dark space behind the gear, he can see a number of bones have jammed the mechanism. Something crawled in there and subsequently died. Poking, prodding, pulling, and even breaking some of the bones eventually frees the mechanism, which immediately begins whirring, crunching smaller bones and causing dirt and rust to rain down on Tock.
Above, giant ornate doors open, spreading the waterfall into two smaller waterfalls, one on either side of the bridge. The giant gear begins to roll out as Keyrie steps off of it onto the granite platform. It rolls under the bridge and it immediately becomes obvious that the gear is connected to a long bridge that it guides across the gap to the granite block on the other side. The bridge scrapes lightly against the granite as it comes to rest against the grass and dirt where Nev and Gentoa are standing. They wait for others to return before crossing the bridge, which is neither wet nor smooth nor rounded, making for easy entry into the cavernous interior of the mountain. After reaching the threshold, the bridge begins to retract, pushing the party deeper into the mountain. Behind them the doors swing closed with barely any noise at all.
In the approaching distance, blue magical flames cast a little light on a giant cavern that is populated with stone houses and other buildings. It is a small town, completely barren of its former residents. On the walls to the right and left of the party large murals drift by as the bridge continues to move, which depict Milil embracing a dark-haired human woman. The woman is shown to be pregnant and then bears a child with golden hair and golden eyes. Surrounding the child are a firbolg, a goliath, a kenku, a fire genasi, a goblin, and a tiefling.
(End chapter 2. All characters have reached level 3! The characters have entered the City of the Prophecy. It is completely empty and has been for a long time by the looks of it. Everyone finds a common wondrous item here that appears to be addressed directly to them. I will leave you to RP your next post as to how your character found the item and how they knew it was for them. Everyone may also take a long rest now!)
Tock wanders from house to house until at one point something makes a noise really close to him. "SA OLED MINU SÕBER!". He jumps back and is looking for something to point his crossbow at. Nothing seems to move or do anything.
Waiting a bit he closes in and nothing happens. Once he starts to move again the same sounds happens, seemingly from under a floorboard. He takes his dagger and very carefully pries it open to find a ... stuffed doll. After inspecting the place it was in for any traps or anything, he gingerly picks it up and it whispers: "kalli-kalli". It seems an otherwise ordinary doll, seemingly of a girl dog, bright pink ears, blue belly and colorful hands and feet.
Tock says back to it: "kalli-kalli" and it seems to reply with: "ma aaarmastan sind". After a while he finds that there are a few more phrases in there that happen while playing with the doll. A few of these remind him of the languages the demons and the celestials were using earlier in that very long day.
Feytok drags the skinned dire wolf with him as he crosses. On entering the city he finds a long abandoned hearth and starts a fire, securing the meat above to slowly roast.
While it cooks he explores his surroundings and becomes excited when he finds what appears to be a weapon shaft, though pulling it out reveals a long rotted handle and no blade. Just before returning to check on the meat he sees something in the corner of his eye...
Gash sits as the others wonder their new location and starts think about what he just saw and how he could utilize it in the future. He then does a ritual to cast detect magic.
He sees a lot of faint auras in the distance but relatively close he sees an aura of something he’s never seen but has heard about.
“Oh my... it couldn’t be... oh my oh my oh my... IT IS!”
He digs under some debris and discovers a spellshard. Immediately, he pulls out his book and starts copying his spells into the shard.
(Ooc for the DM: do I find anything on the spellshard already? Spells or diary entries or is it just blank)
Once the cavern is found to be safe, Neventi and Gentoa find a place to lay down their bedrolls and quietly and quickly fall asleep. Both sleep soundly, waking to a still-dark cavern and unsure of the time of day. They are hungry, though, and that serves as the first order of business. After a meal and some fussy over getting cleaned and dressed, Gentoa and her mother walk around the underground town, looking through the empty houses and shops. A giant temple on the east side of the plaza carries artwork, statues, and murals depicting many of the gods, including Milil. What is clearly a baby aasimar child is featured heavily in many of the central works of the temple, glorifying the child and the gods that appear to be connected to her, including Milil, the Traveler, Meilikki, Tymora, and Sune.
On a pedestal at the head of the temple sits three ivory toy goat figurines. Gentoa is instantly taken with them, pulling at her mother's hand to go and play with the goats. "Honey, don't touch anything,"Nev says to her. But the child persists and when she approaches the pedestal it begins to glow. Her mother pulls Gentoa away and the glowing continues. But nothing else happens and Neventi eventually approaches the pedestal. Inscribed in glowing letters, written in the ancient celestial script, are the words, "A gift for the child."
Neventi accepts the gift on behalf of her daughter, giving the figurines to her daughter to play with back at her bedroll with one of the circus troop watching over her. She explores the remainder of the cavern alone, walking through the tight alleys and studying the large mural that is dimly lit by the blue flames eternally burning on lamp posts in various places throughout the town.
When she hears familiar footsteps behind her, she muses out loud. "Are they fighting here or is it some kind of performance?" she says, pointing to a confusing array of figures painted on the wall.
Further along the wall to the west, she sees a mural of the town itself, under attack by some kind of magic user. The townspeople are littered at the mage's feet, though some are rising back up around her, clearly desiccated. "I think they prophesied their own demise," she says to whomever is listening.
To the east is a mural that depicts the choice that lay ahead. On the one hand is a wealthy gentlewoman, a spark of fire in her hand and a number of servants behind her. On the other hand is a gleaming city, replete with walls and towers and an armored king standing tall. A miniature sun shines in the palm of his hand. Above them both is a vast field of clouds with a giant peering down, a bemused look on his face. All three appear to be looking or pointing at a small stone bench, on which lays a perfectly folded cloak. Picking it up, she shakes off some of the dust. It is attractive, a blue coloring with silver and white trim. It fits quite well. In one of the pockets is a small roll of parchment. In celestial it reads: "We apologize for not finding better. This will serve you in times of need." The parchment is not signed.
Eventually Nev returns to her daughter to find her snacking on dried berries and a fresh apple, still clutching her ivory goats. This place feels safe from the eyes of devils and angels. But if the murals are true, they will not be staying here for long.
When the dire wolf was roasted Feytok would have brought out some nice cuts for everyone and left some bits smoking on low heat, hopefully preserving well enough to last a short term.
"At some point we're going to have to push on. I think there is another passage out of this city apart from how we entered. Are we taking that? If so perhaps we should at least scout a little before committing to departure. "
"An exit?" Neventi says. "Can't we just stay here? This must be the safest place in all of Alcion right now." She looks at Gentoa, who is sleeping calmly on her bedroll.
Nev decides to take some time to look over her new cloak, not fully understanding what it does and how it works. After a while she notices Gash with his spellbook and a sharp looking piece of dragonshard.
Lucien is in awe of the murals and the city, he feels a sense of calm here, a closeness with The Traveler that he only finds in deep meditation, or on those rare occasions when the Traveler visits. After wanders for what feels like hours Lucian hears a "psssst, psssssst" coming from an unlit alley. As he approaches he sees the familiar outline of the Lord of Tricks, his face ever shrouded in shadow. "You trusted in my vision and took the leap of faith, though a bit more literally then I intended." says the traveler with a small chuckle, "You could have used the rope to climb down. Never the less, you made it here. I have this for you": The Traveler takes of his own cloak and hands it to Lucien, it seems to be billowing as if in a breeze, thought the air is still (Cloak of Billowing), "It is also time to teach you some more tricks, you'll need to be stronger to protect me niece".
"Thank you Traveler, I will always need your guidance. I am your servant" Lucien replies, as he bows his head in reverence. we he glances back up the figure is gone. As always Lucien is left to wonder if he was ever actually there, no on else ever seems to see him. "Am I a priest or just some crazy person?" Lucien swears he hears a faint chuckling from the spot where the Traveler was just standing.
Joining back up with the rest of the group, his new cloak billowing behind him, Lucien well ask "I know the the Traveler led me here to meet you, though I do not know why. Would some body please be so kid as to tell me what is happening?"
