(OOC-Yeah, Lusith was just going to get rope from the boat, then trying to scale the cliff behind Lyle. Hoping to lower the rope from the top for those who couldn't climb as well.)
(OOC-Ok, my dice roller thing was a little messed up on mobile, now on laptop to try and get it straight, first roll at advantage for first ten feet, second roll at advantage for second 10 feet.)

Success, you reached to top.
Just to speed things along, I am going to assume everyone climbs up the rope...
Landscape
Your first look at the island is disappointing. Inland you see a hilly and desolate land, to your left (with your back to the sea) a line of taller and more rugged hills can be seen stretching out into the distance. Here and there to your front and right taller hills peak above the general hills. There is also very little green here, just a type of low, scrubby bush and scattered patches of a brownish grass. For the rest, it is gravel, rock and mud. The wind is even stronger here above the cliff, and blows mostly from inland and to the right (kinda 45 degrees off your nose).
OCC: I hate when they dont put north on the top of a map... correction, the wind is generally coming from the left side of your nose at about 45 degrees.
Kinda looks like this, just more rocks and less vegetation
Eurim brings up the rear, having returned to the ship for a moment to gather any remaining crossbow bolts. He makes the climb slowly, being weighed down by the weapon and clunky boots. As he reaches the top, he will take a minute to catch his breath, his eyes exploring the empty, grey horizon line. As Janey moves further away, he follows, slowly picking his path between the rough rocks and rugged turf.
There is little to recommend this isle, and no life but the plant life to be seen. The rocks, however, show that at points, this island must be home to a large number of sea birds.
"Thank you for the cloak, Mr... Um, I don't know your name," she says, addressing Lusith. "My name is Melisana from Alaron. Does anyone know where we are or where we are going?"

"A pleasure to meet you, Melisana of Alaron. I am called Lusith. As for where we are going, I'm not sure, but I am confident it will all work out." And with that Lusith will cheerfully continue on his way, watching the sky for any more changes in weather.
Trudging along in the middle of the group, the half-elf is lost in his own thoughts, until the conversation about maps starts.
"While it may not be the popular choice, given the current conditions, if we are in possession of a map, we should make for the highest point in the vicinity, so that we may determine our location more precisely." His stomach rumbles and he gives a weak smile to the others. "It would not solve our current predicament, though."

Denethir
"You are certainly optimistic that there are any towns, or settlements of any kind, on this wretched island... I suppose someone needs to be." Glad he picked an item of clothing from the possessions of Hafkris, he turns to address Janey. "Would you do me the pleasure of accompanying me on a stroll, my good lady?"

Are we using skill proficiency at the moment in addition to the base rolls?
(OoC- I’m not sure who climbed the boat and therefore concerned you think Lyle climbed it. Lyle tried to climb the cliff. Any new sights?)

OK, now that you have some rope, you may try climbing the cliff. This will require increasing level of Dex save for every 10ft....

“Shelter first and try to rest, or should we start looking for people?” Lyle cradles his body, trying to keep warm.

"Shelter first" Janey says in agreement with Lyle's first suggestion. "And food."
She scans the landscape in front of them. "Perhaps closer to the hills we will find some protection from this wind."

Lyle starts the march towards the hills to the right to see about shelter.

As they travel, Janey scans the ground and skies for any signs of small animals or vegetation that might be edible.

Lusith, looks at the blacker clouds and lightening upwind to see the storm is still building, despite 2 days of storm.

Lusith will look around, "Someone here said they had a map, perhaps the two of you could figure out where we are and where the nearest town is."
