"Not that you can blame them. With that much gold in their possession and their own alone it's more than just a pretty penny. It used correctly, it could fund many a campaign and eventually lead to a take over an at least smaller city than Waterdeep. Which in turn could lead to a bit of a domino effect." Mairi mentions, thumbing her chin. Then seeming to realize she spoke aloud, she smiles nervously and adds, "Or so I imagined... ahem... anyhow. If you're not that familiar with the city, which if I recall correctly, i-is not the case, I'll take point. Even with a map the streets can get a bit confusing at times for non-natives."
With that said, unless there are no other volunteers or preparations to be made, Mairi would take point on at least leading the group to the outer gates of the City of the Dead.

Briga nods, agreeing with following Mairi, - although Briga has resided in Waterdeep for the better part of two years, the city still has surprises for her, she has found. "Ready to go!" She will set off with the others.
"Still wouldn't mind having a pony, mastiff, or something to ride." Saralyssa says as they prepare to head out and do more walking. "Can we at least hire a coach or a wagon to get to the City of the Dead?" She glances to her short legs and the much-longer ones of the rest of the group.
"It would -- should be possible. Though I won't be covering anyone's ride."Mairi admits as the group hustled along, now on a course for the nearest Dray. "The fair's not too bad, but it's still adds up quite a bit." She adds, chuckling towards the end.

"I'm good to walk," Briga says. "We can't count on the tavern for extra income right now, and I'm feeling a lot better after a good night's sleep. Moving would do me some good. Hopefully we're in good shape to leave on our own two feet, and don't need a carriage then-" Briga cuts off her last thought, "Or a hearse," realizing how unlike her that is, how their recent setbacks have made her more more dour than she ever was before.
"Well try to shorten your strides a bit then, or you'll leave me behind." Saralyssa says with a sigh. She nods to the others though, ready to get to the cemetery.

Tyrus will be the last to leave, and after making sure the tavern is all locked up, he hangs his sign on the door.
Wondering if he will ever see the place again, he follows after Briga.

Saralyssa is more than ready to be moving. She would follow the others out and towards the graveyard.
OOC: I think we are ready to advance the scene to investigating the Cassalanter Crypt.

"You got it, Sara," Briga says as cheerfully as she can. "I'll carry you if you like. Let's go!"
The group likely now heads off to the cemetery.
Briga wears the newly acquired half plate armor, and her array of silvered melee weapons, feeling like a real knight as they approach the crypt.
OOC: For the DM, let us know what awaits us when we arrive there, if it is accessible by the general public or blocked off, etc.
(Has anyone heard from Simmy? I sent a PM, but I did not get a reply. I am not sure if this game is continuing or not.)

(I guess we should assume this is either on hold, or stalled out, then. That's too bad. Life does happen, though.)
