Ok let's give it a shot then... Nate morphs into a Rat and tries to crawl around the ceiling/roof/rafters areas trying to find a hole out of the tap house.
RatNate will scurry out of the tap house through the hole and then scurry off to the side near where the Redbrands are coming up the road in an attempt to get behind them.
RatNate is out and can see the four Redbrands; they are perhaps ten seconds from the door to the taphouse, and do appear to be headed towards it and not past it down the street. You can try to get behind them if you wish; please roll a Stealth check, with advantage because rat.
Omnia, you can make out glints of red through the dirty and near opaque window; four humanoid shapes in the street. The window is closed and there's no obvious way to open it, but you do get a good sense of how close the men are.
Once notified of the approaching Redbrands, Leo will assume a position next to the entrance of the taphouse and attempt to conceal himself; assuming there might be tables / chairs to hide behind.
(OOC: If the Redbrands are not aware of or expecting any threat, then they will have the 'surprised' condition during the first round of combat, meaning they will be unable to move or take actions. So if you want Brom to attack, let me know and we'll roll initiative and get started.)
The door to the taphouse opens; you see a large human man fill most of the doorway, and can just about see another man behind him. The other two Redbrands are not yet visible.
The first man grunts in surprise at seeing other folk in the taphouse, and takes a step into the room.
RatNate will now scurry up from behind as close to the last Redbrand as he can and just stay off to the side a bit so they can't see the little critter.
I envision RatNate like right at the bottom of the steps to the entrance to the Taphouse right behind the anchor Redbrand, unseen.

There is a door behind the bar that seems to lead to a back room; whether there's a door to the outside there, you don't know.
Nate, you see a rat, but no obvious rat holes. Still, it's likely there are a few at least.

"They'll be here in about 30 seconds, find a position" Brom walks about 10 feet from the door and readies his shield and war hammer.
Bromduhr, Goliath Fighter.
RatNate, make a Perception check. This will use your own stats, as rats don't get any particular advantage on looking for non-smelly things.
Brom takes position, near the door, but hidden from sight through the rather dirty and small windows; where is everyone else?
RatNate Perception: 8
You see no sign of any rat hole that will allow you to leave. The door behind the bar is ajar, though.
RatNate will definitely crawl through the door behind the bar into the next room as fast as he can hoping to find a way out in there.
The wooden back door does indeed have a small hole at the bottom; you could get out if you wished.
RatNate will scurry out of the tap house through the hole and then scurry off to the side near where the Redbrands are coming up the road in an attempt to get behind them.
Omnia will ready her bow and hide near a window overlooking the redbrands direction

RatNate is able to get behind the Redbrands without being seen.
Leo stands at the entrance, believing himself to be somewhat hidden.
The dwarf woman, well aware of what is about to happen, disappears into the back room; you hear her barring the door behind her.
The Redbrands reach the door to the inn, and pass out of Omnia's view. You hear the one in front at the door, and he pushes it open.
Can Brom make a surprise attack against the Red brand thug as he opens the door before we go into initiative?

Delmon will be out in the open, relaxed and remain seated awaiting the entrance of the red brands.
Brom would take a seat with his back to the door using his large frame to hide his weapons.
In case thats slight of hand or stealth I'm rolling both)
