The Greyblock is a tavern turned barracks for the purpose of preparing the Grey Hands Initiates.
It is situated almost at the center of the city,
It has been nearly a month now that you have joined up with this apparatus of Waterdeep justice system. A week training with the City Guard and walking the walls and three weeks trailing and learning the roads of Waterdeep' Wards with the City Watch. You have all learned a lot about the inner workings of the Guard and the Watch and gathered that though they call upon the Grey Hands when they need it they aren't thrilled with your presence.
For now the sun is setting and you are gathered once more in the tavern feet sore and in need of some food.
The Grey is a typical tavern two stories high, it has a common room with an hearth, a large kitchen behind the bar and a area for bathing just under the stairs leading to the second floor where the rooms are. Each f the 7 rooms have several beds. The latrine are in the small paved courtyard behind the tavern along with some recently added training dummies.
// Time for a small description of your characters then it's on to your first cases.//
The short red haired human with green eyes (much like the picture) Irene enters as directed by the Sargent. a little sore from all the training she was put through. She never thought she would work with the city watch amongst others that her life experience's was taught to avoid
Feeling kind of abnormally shy she avoids the crowd gathering. Moves to the bar sits her pack next to the stool she sits upon lays down a coin
"It's so nice to meet you all" says Krizarith as the new comers present themselves
"You can go upstairs and pick a room" she replies to Kendil "All of the third floor are empty right now dear"
She walks to the bar take a bottle of wine from it and a bunch of glasses and take it to the table
"We have been dealing with some gang of mobsters.Nasty, trickery and depictable people... but we will deal with them soon enough, and with your help it will be even easier!"
"So nice to meet you Irene! look we have the same hair darling!"
She took off her hat and a cascade of red bucles fall down to almost her waist.
“Greetings newbies!” Xana waves and grins at them, “Welcome to the team, I’m Xanaphia Nailo, but you can just call me Xana.” She addresses Shandalar, “So far, we’ve investigated a murder, been jumped by a group of thugs for hire, and literally taken out the trash.” She ticks off her fingers as she says this, “Oh! And started a library of books liberated from scenes of crimes for...research purposes.” She waves a hand at the leaning pile of books on a table in the corner and tucks flyaway strands of red hair from her braid back behind her half-elven ears out of the way.

"Much obliged." Kendil turned around and went upstairs only to return in couple of minutes to join the crowd near the bar.
Newfound library did not pick his interest (though he grinned at the joke about research purposes), but three pretty red-haired girls certainly did. And one of them even talked about familiar things. Life was good! He took a swallow from his beer (taken before at the bar. Not so bad, by the way) and nodded to Xana's words. "Got some names on the thugs? Or contractor? And what did Watch do about murder?"
Joetaro listens to Xana's words. "So another day in Waterdeep then." He walks by the books and nods hearing about some of the names, remembering then from their attendence at fighting events. He goes over to the table and begins peering through the books.

"Well I'm hoping for something more... substantial... than taking out the trash or just a group of thugs. But whatever we can do to keep the citizens of Waterdeep safe I suppose is a worthy cause."
Shandalar finishes his pint and grabs another.
"Anyone for a game of dice while we wait?"

Kaylyn took a seat and watched as other new recruits entered. Upon hearing that rooms were open on the third floor she goes up and chooses a room for herself.
She then comes back down and takes a glass of wine before joining the others.
"This seems a varied group that has been brought together. You don't all seem to be soldiers or guards. Of course I'm am neither myself. So what skills do you each bring to the table so I know what to count on from each of you?"
She looks around at the group assembled.
"Personally I have been blessed with some ability in magic and can defend myself if need be. Martial weapons are not my strength but I do have some abilities to heal wounds and injuries."
Joetaro nods and steps forward. "My goddess Selune allows me to use some of her power either to heal others or use as a weapon. I am skilled with a sword and shield and can mend things on occasion. Although I will admit that I do not enjoy needless violence and believe in second chances, but I understand that sometimes violence is necessary in order to stop evil and save others."

"Oh but I am not from Waterdeep, but my father could be now that I think of it. I should ask my mother next time I see her. And for the thugs... I don't know... ugly?" she turns to Xana for comfirmation
"I was a soldier in the Waterdeep griffon cavalry for about 10 years until recently when I decided I could do more towards keeping the peace than just military engagements. My job was combat healer so while I'm great at both the art and magic of healing, I am also a fierce fighter and by Llirra's grace, I am more than capable of smiting, with mace or magic, anything that threatens freedom and joy in this world. I heard that the Grey Hands did their jobs in a somewhat out-of-the-box manner and were sometimes able to bypass bureaucratic nonsense so I thought I'd give them a try and see if they fit my style of justice a bit better."
Shandalar takes a deep breath after his small speech and takes a few gulps of his ale.

I’m better with my crossbow, although I have got a rapier too for when I really need it.”
