Having spent a large portion of the day with Dulamul the two of them have decided to get up to some fun. They are going to prank Druhdaar with an oldie but a goodie. Having gotten a bucket Vishal has filled it up with water. And then with Dulamul’s help he has carefully paced it above Druhdaar’s door in such a way that when the door is opened it will fall onto the druid’s head. Vishal was even careful enough to have it where the door looks as closed as possible so the Druid won’t expect anything. Now, of course Vishal went the extra mile and it’s not just water in there. There’s also a special magical component that will make Druhdaar smell like pretty flowers for at least a couple days later once he is splashed with the water. Close by Vishal and Dulamul lie in wait for Druhdaar to fall victim to the prank. Vishal also sporting a new wand for a little extra help and later use in case the bucket doesn’t work.
Taran exits his room the next morning, bleary eyed and cursing himself for a fool. He should have waited until he was better rested, not have rushed to get things prepared in case of some emergency. Now his biggest surprise for the Esteemed Vishal was ruined.
Not that there wasn't still hope, he had bought a second jar of the Calcium Grease after all, but finding the reagents again... it would either take a lot of dedicated time, or sheer luck. And Taran felt he had neither, since there was still so much that he needed to accomplish.
He returned to the leather ship, "L-Lady Oviya, I c-came f-for the ar-armor," Taran said, shuffling his feet and still covered in the soot from the burnt grease.
Oviya comes out of the back of the shop with a plate of cookies. "Oh sweetheart, I'm no lady," she laughs. "You have a cookie, and I'll get your armor." She sets the plate of snickerdoodles down and vanishes back into the storeroom.
Taran gingerly takes a cookie, and bites into it, the sharp bite of the cinnamon and ginger easing his hurting heart somewhat. He knew people like Oviya were too humble to tell of their exploits, but she had helped defend Adar from the incursions of the Riedran armies. He would show her the proper respect, despite her protests. It was the least he could do.
The cookie is delicious, with just the right amount of ginger to offset the cinnamon. Oviya comes out of the back with a lovely set of new leather armor, simple and unadorned. "Here we are, dear. No designs, as requested. Should blend in nicely when you're out scouting."
"Th-thank y-you very much ma'am."Taran says bowing and taking the leathers, enjoying the feel of new leather for the first time in a long time. "Th-they are beautiful, h-how much do I owe you?"
"Th-thank you, a-again," Taran says placing the forty gold on the counter, "F-for this, and for y-your service b-before. And, th-thank you for the c-cookies. I'll make sure they g-get to someone d-deserving."
It was easy to accept the goodies, considering his next stop. Taran was under orders after all, and so he would stop by the local medical ward, to offer his services.
In the medical ward, everything is bustling with activity, healers and runners going back and forth between the various wards. A busy doctor pauses for a moment, juggling a pile of bandages. "Hey, patient, help, or lost?"
"Here to h-help sir," Taran says rolling his shoulders against the stiff new leather armor he was wearing, "I-I was t-trained by Master Lukaan in Tahsalatora. I'm w-willing to do anything you need done, s-sir. In a-addition to m-my medical knowledge, I know herbalism and a-alchemy, so I-I can synthesize m-medicines a-as well as e-everything else"
The healer nods and puts his stack of bandages into Taran' arms. "Third door on the left, patients recovering from major injuries. Change the bandages marked as needing changing and then go to the center over there." He points at a central desk with a couple busy healers directing traffic so that everyone gets where they need to.
Taran nods and heads off, not bothering to waste time with words.
It was a different sort of intensity than he felt in battle, but it overtook him completely as he opened the third door on the left.
"Greetings," Taran said somewhat slowly, careful to enunciate his words precisely, "My name is Taran. I am helping today, and the Doctor told me to change your bandages. How are you feeling at the moment?"He would move in and begin changing the marked bandages, focusing on the task at hand while following the procedures he'd been taught.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Taran makes sure to deposit the cookies at the front desk, for the inured waiting and for the staff who are tired and overworked, then loses himself in the flow of the work. Ointments, bandages, stitching, making sure he speaks slowly and clearly, move with precision.
Taran gets to work, efficiently cleaning and stitching wounds. He notices several approving looks from the healers around him as he moves quickly through the various wards. Over the course of the day, he works in all the wards but four, three of which are clumped together by the middle of the room and one of which is at the very end and only has a few doctors going in and out of it.
Taran would make his way to either a student or a someone else who isn't a busy doctor, and ask about the ward on the very end. If it is in need of additional hands, he is currently free and willing to work for a while longer.
The doctor you ask shakes their head. "We don't need any more help in that ward, there's just a few patients there. And only healers authorized by the Council of Lineages can go in anyway."
OOC: The Council of Lineages is the ruling body of Shalquar, and make rules for everyone but the noncombatant human monks
"Okay," Taran would say carefully, "I have finished with the wounded in the last ward, they will need their bandages changed in six hours. Do you need help anywhere else? The central wards or do we have more patients who have come in? I do not want to leave if there is still work to be done. Do we need more medicines?"

Vishal’s Stealth: 16
Druhdaar does not spot Vishal or the bucket. When Druhdaar returns to his room, he walks under the doorway and triggers the trap.
Drudaar needs to make a DC 15 Dex ST or be doused in flower water.

Most of the patients here are awake and able to talk to Taran. A majority of the injuries in here seem to be battle wounds.
