Meep watches Jill and Allynna's conversation, tensing at Jill's outbursts. She calmly sits her tea glass down and quietly pulls her bag closer to her in thought, toying with a small trinket the hangs slightly off of the drawstring and making a mental note of a few more things to write into her notebook later.

"So it is a long distance sort of thing. Interessant. Pardon, you can ask me to stop if I am asking too many questions. I do not spend much time with people, so I am pretty bad with them. But you already saw that."
Misha pat Jill's back as gently as she could. "I deesagree."she scolded, smiling. "Stop being so hard on yourself, ah? You hef many good qualities that more than make up for what you lack. Some of us do not hef even choice to be something else, or to explore posseebileetees. Always remember that."
"Thank you, mon amie." Jill says to Misha, after the Paladin gives her input. "I think that I will stop asking questions of you, Allynna. For now." Jill's attention turns to the charm bracelet on Misha's wrist instead. "That's a pretty bracelet you have, my friend. Who gave it to you?"
Because Saltmarsh was a while ago:
Carrhae pulls out a golden bracelet with charms on it, one for each member of the crew. A heart for Carrhae, an octopus for Kali, a dolphin for Sana, a cat for Sloop, an arrow for Chandor, a spider for Erriviel, a thunderbolt for Syltra, and a bell for the Belle.

"Misha, you've been a true friend to me. I plan on spending as much time as I can with you while you're still here, but when you have to return home, I have this for you. Just a little something to remember us all by. Not like you'll ever forget us. We'll always be together here." She points towards Misha's heart."And here." She points towards her head, signifying the connection that she has with Misha.
"I have to go back home, now." she said, but not sadly, but proudly. Very proud. "Eet ees not because I WANT to, but..because you do not NEED me anymore." She embraced Carrhae tightly, kissing her cheek many times. "I will never forget you. I am proud of you. And, I love you." She held Carrhae for a long time before she let go. She looked at her with pride, with honor, with happiness. Misha gently tapped Carrahe's temple, and nodded slowly to her. She smiled and walked away.
Misha looked at the bracelet for a long time. Long enough for Jill to wonder if Misha had heard her, but she knew she did, because the Acheronian was lost in memory, smiling. Her eyes watered. She had to concentrate not to lose herself in the memory of those days.
"One of the bravest people I knew."she said to herself.
Jill looked at Misha as she waited for a response. She could tell that Misha wasn't completely there and that she was thinking about something that happened a long time ago. When Misha finally responded, Jill simply asked "Are they all right? It seems like this person was dear to you."

Misha nodded slowly, clearing her throat, and releasing the emotion that was welling up in it. "She is." she admitted, remembering her, and of course, them. "I have not seen those companions in quite some time. We shared many adventures together. Fought beside each other. Earned glory, and honor, together."She was quiet for a few moments longer, her hand on the bracelet. "But, the glory of a new day is upon us. I fear that there is great trouble brewing in Baldur's Gate."
"I hope that we will be able to earn honor and glory together." Jill turns towards Amelia. "You were right to scold me earlier. I was childish in making assumptions about Mademoiselle Allynna's life. I also apologize for any distress I caused you or your daughter when I showed you my scars. I was not thinking about how the rest of you would feel when I did that."
Allynna quietly listens to the others talking, her eyes half-closed as her own mind goes back to a ball ten years ago...
Allynna did her best to smile and curtsy to the masked nobles passing her, pretending she wasn't close to tears, that the whispers and looks didn't affect her. The Hhune's elf ward, she thought bitterly. Talk of the court again, this time for her engagement to that Caldwell brat. She felt the mark on her back start to warm again, responding to her desire to just vanish into the shadows, and pushed the power away-she would get another tongue lashing (and possibly worse) from Tarquin if she vanished during another ball.
"Might I have a dance with you?" Allynna started at the voice beside her, turning to see a young man wearing a curious horned mask at her side. She noted the pointed ears with interest-it was rare to see an elf among the mostly human Baldurian court. She inclined her head, forcing a brighter smile onto her face. "Of course. My name is-"
"Allynna Varen. The elf ward of the Hhunes. You're quite the talk of the court for your upcoming impressive marriage." Allynna knew her smile was tightening, and could feel her cheeks flushing beneath the delicately worked panther mask on her face. "I see," she managed to say carefully. "But I'm sure you don't want to talk about that," the elf said with a laugh. "Dance with me, and I promise no more talk of marriage for the entire thing." It was tempting. The only reason people had come over tonight was to twitter about how lucky she was to be marrying Maxwell Caldwell, the heir to the Caldwell fortune. Allynna extended her hand. "I would be honored to take you up on your offer."
They'd made it halfway through the dance, moving in companionable silence, before the elf spoke again. "You seem to be somewhat of a contradiction here. An elf among humans, someone only the highest nobles dance with, but excluded from conversations." Allynna looked down. "I am the ward of the Hhunes, and they are...rather protective. But since I'm a ward, and an elf to boot, I'm not seen as a direct part of the court." She wondered how the elf didn't know that-he couldn't have gotten into this without knowing a noble, and it was practically impossible to be involved in Baldurian court without knowing about her...situation. The elf cocked his head. "You are a queen. If they don't know that, it says more about their blindness." Allynna raised an eyebrow.Oh by Balduran's eye, is he flirting? She gives him a faint smile. "...Thank you?" He twirled her around. "What kind of things do you enjoy, Allynna?" Allynna shrugged. "Music, I suppose. I play viol, I'll actually be doing a number tonight." The dance was drawing to an end. "I look forward to hearing it-you must have quite a bit of talent. I enjoy music myself, although I'm much better with the horn than viol." Allynna smiled a genuine smile. "The horn? I've dabbled a few times, but I'm not very good."
The elf cocked his head. "Maybe we could do lessons together sometimes...but of course. You shouldn't be spending time alone with a man who's not your fiance right now." Allynna pursed her lips at the reminder of her upcoming nuptials. The elf must have seen it, for he said "What if I told you...I could help you get out of your unhappy engagement?" Allynna stiffened slightly, wondering how he knew she didn't want the marriage. "I...no. Never mind. I don't want you to be endangered." The elf shook his head. "No," Allynna said fiercely. "You can't just say that and then say no." She glared at the elf. "It could put you in danger. There are people who are after me, and this could put you squarely in their crossfire," the elf warned. "I don't care," Allynna said softly. "Very well." The elf nodded. "My name is Gargauth. I offer you my help, my power, and my friendship. Are you ready to change your life?"
The small window of time that Amelia has shown anger had ceased when the others conversations drifted into new topics. She returns back to her lax position and watches Corrin and Nok Nok converse.
”And this shade would make you look suuuuuper pretty,” She explains as she pulls out a third lipstick tube from her bag, this time a gaudy pink color. “It will go really well with your complexion and bring out your beautiful eyes!”
The blonde snorts slightly and her attention is diverted back to Jill when she apologizes. “Don’t worry about it, sparky, it’s fine. I don’t think Cory noticed it much...” She gives the tiefling a glance before settling her eyes back on Jill. “You’ve at least proven yourself as mature by going about and apologizing for it. You’re still a kid though.” She reaches over and ruffles the others hair lightly. “Don’t think I’ll ever understand why someone would want powers that make your hurt yourself though, er, no offense. How’d you get them?”

Jill pauses for a moment when Amelia asks how she got her powers. "That is a long story and a fairly personal one. She fumbles with her holy symbol before closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. "I suppose that I should start from the beginning. When I was 12 years old my parents died. Jill begins pacing uncomfortably again, before taking another deep breath and resuming. "But there was another thing that they did. They taught me how to fight and how to hunt. They were training me. You see, they believed that monsters; particularly demons, devils, and the undead, needed to be taken out by any means necessary. When my training ended, they gave me this concoction. They told me that it would make me stronger, help me to fight monsters. So I took it." Jill hugs herself tight, as if she's recalling something unpleasant and trying to calm down so that she can finish telling Amelia her story. "It did that, but first I had to survive the changes it made to my body. As it turns out, a concoction that allows your blood to electrify a sword is not good for you. The concoction caused me no small amount of pain as it worked it's way through my system and I honestly cannot tell you how I survived. Perhaps the training made me strong enough to do so. Perhaps it was because I resolved to survive. Perhaps it was simply luck. But I survived to stand before you and I now have the powers you have seen, as well as improved senses. I have something of a sixth sense when it comes to fighting things. But I did not want to be around the people who were willing to risk my death in order to make me their weapon. So I fled and have mainly wandered from place to place ever since." Jill momentarily thinks of the people who offered her a place to stay with, but refused. The human male and his elvish wife, who wanted to make her their daughter. Natasha, who loved her like the sister she never had. Why didn't I let myself take what they offered?
"But I am unable to get away from what was done to me. Every scar on my body is from me having to activate my powers. And I assure you, every time I was doing it to defend myself or provide for myself. I do not enjoy slicing into my forearms or having to wear a jacket everyday so that passersby do not think that I am someone who cuts themselves for attention. But I have found that these wounds will not go away, even when magic is applied. I guess that it is my punishment for using blood magic." Jill looks up at Amelia, feeling incredibly distraught and is now having a harder time holding herself together emotionally. "Please do not get angry at me. This was not something I wanted to do, I thought that I had to do it in order to stay alive. I'm sorry, I really am. Misha is the only one who knows this, please do not tell the others, especially Corrin. She is so sweet and I do not want her to be scared of me and think that I am some monster." In this particular moment, she is uniquely vulnerable and looks like the child she tried to convince everyone she isn't.
