Round 3
Seeing his friends gertting ravaged by the creature, Thomas drops his crossbow and moves in to defend Sarah from it's attacks "It's probably undead of some kind! Remember what I was saying about all the monsters that come with return of magic? I'd bet vampire spawn!" He pulls out his shortsword and engages the creature, flanking and trying to get some solid shots in. Unable to think of anything else more effective, he lashes out and moves back, trying to draw it away.
Shortsword Attack: 8 Damage: 15 then Disengage

Em will attempt to Grapple the creature to impose the Grappled condition to stop it from moving.

21 Sarah hides from the approaching creature 19 Stealth
17 Aleister holds his action until the noisy creature arrives. He shoots and misses, as usual
16 Noisy Creature (see description below) picks George to kill. He attacks with a longsword 23 and rakes at you with his claws 20 for 10 9
15 Em misses badly
13 Thomas hits for 9 damage (yes, 9 damage)
6 George hits with his short sword for 2 damage
4 Max attacks twice (action surge) 11 and 10 and missed twice.
Round 2
21 Sarah hits for 6 damage. The creature turns and stares at this person who seems to have a magic weapon. It smiles at her and mouths "You're next" I forgot to do this in round one, consider it a gift from God. When the arrow strikes the creature responds with a Vicious Reprisal and bites George 20 for 8 damage
17 Aleister misses, as usual
16 Noisy Creature two attacks on George again 10 18 for 4 damage
15 Em "You are ugly, and rude," Em says as he bites down on his mouthpiece. This round Matthias will attempt to Shove the "clawyer" It resists the shove 15 and stays upright.
13 Thomas shoots his crossbow and misses
6 George disengages and moves away as far as he can.
4 Max strikes again 24 for 12 damage half for 6
Round 3
21 Sarah curses the creature and shoots with her bow for 12 damage
17 Aleister will probably miss again... and he did
16 Noisy Creature moves to attack Sarah taking OA from Max and Em 25 and 19. Both hit with Max getting a critical hit for 4.5 and 2.5. Em rolled a 1 so he gets to reroll 5.5 The Lawyer from Hell attacks Sarah 7 16 for 13 (Forgot again) when Max hit the creature it tried to bite him 22 for 12
15 Em hits for 12/2 damage
13 Thomas draws his sword and closes for a slash to the leg then fades back out of reach 10 damage
6 George gets out of its reach and then puts an arrow into the creature 5 damage
4 Max slashes again 13 and misses
Round 4
21 Sarah disengages and moves away from the creature
17 Aleister (this time I can't use the 'he'll probably miss' joke because if Aleister actually hits it could be enough to kill it)

George opens up again, a bleeding racking ruin of a human, desperate to finish off this foul creature

Thomas rinses and repeats.

After his attack, he recalls the myths of vampires and recalls where his oil of burning stuff is to destroy the body completely.

"Wait, let me check it over," Sarah speaks up. "If you could help, that would be good."
Cautiously, she moves towards the creature, bow at the ready if need be. Is it really a vampire? Or something else? They really needed to start compiling a bestiary.

George did a detect thing - Primeval Awareness - and detected Fiend.
OOC: So, not a vampire, then. Ugh, fiends and doesn't that make you worry even more about PPA.
"A friend? A creature called from Hell itself? That means there must also be access to Gods and Goddesses of good! I wonder if..." Thomas trails off, thinking hard as he uses detect magic on any gear left behind by the demon.

"Granny is a woman of faith and she swears her healing comes from God himself," Sarah adds. "We still don't know how that... thing got here."
George slumps to the ground, panting and sweating, clutching his bow desperately - arrow on the string, arms weakly pulling against the draw....
Aleister immediately heads to George and starts patching him up.

Em walks over to the fiend to look it over keeping open to any characteristics that stand out. He then commits to cutting off the claw.Investigation: 10
OoC: intent with claw is to see if we can use it (or just the "nails) as a weapon (or part of a weapon).I missed the earlier post. Investigation to look at the area in which we met this creature. Is this its lair? What else is in the area?
