I assume you've dropped darkness. You can't really hide (stealth) when a dome of darkness is as obvious as a fireworks display and mirror image is also pointless inside darkness.

The Darkness is cast on a bead on a length of string that is tied to her belt. When she wants to not use it, she puts it in her pocket. Then she takes it out when she needs it.

OOC - You said they were facing the entrance? Not looking outwards? If that's true, Thomas will be sneaking a lot closer and trying to see if they react to a thrown rock in the bushes off to one side.
