Feeling his body changing painlessly, wounds stop bleeding, bruises turn from dark the true time of his skin. Bukowyr suddenly feels reinvigorated by the healing and becomes confident for his swing to hit the animated armor.

"Thanks, Benito. I will make it count. "
Scimitar attack 14 for 2
(ooc - Fabian0, my lay on hands wouldnt be casted until my 3rd turn. Still waiting for DM to move through the 2nd round. I just put out my 3rd action so that the DM wouldnt have to wait for me since my access to DnD Beyond is limited during the day)
Both Kayla and Bukowyr weren't able to ht the armor which was moving erratically after receiving several attacks from the damage. It was almost done, yes. But it will still attempt to retaliate against both Kayla and Bukowyr.
But Bukowyr doesn't remain too much time on the ground thanks to Benito's Lay on hands (5 hp) and from behind him Kai attacks with a handaxe but she misses... before giving up she quickly attacks with her mace which barely touches the armor, but that's enough to scatter the armor pieces.
Torvus seems in a shock which doesn't allow him to move, maybe caused by fear, or maybe entirely by something else... It'll be better to move on without him (Maybe, he'll catch up later...)
Alert and muscles tense as that of an Underdark predator, Bukowyr spins back to his feet looking around and breathing slowly and steady. - "Let's make sure the danger is really subdued in here. After that let's recompose ourselves."
Kai steadies her breath slowly and nods in agreement. "Is everyone alright? I think we should take a break in one of the rooms?" She looks around the group before at the unexplored rooms. "Maybe downstairs where we know it is less dangerous and better scenery?"

Kayla somehow pales further as the armor's final attack, which narrowly missed her. As it clattered to the floor, she took a wheezing breath. Trembling a little with the fading adrenaline, she nods at Kai's suggestion.
"I'd appreciate a rest. That thing hits hard," Kayla says hoarsely.

"I am glad we agree that my exploration and resting tactics are taken in due consideration. Here I go to make sure the next room is safe enough for you to have your beauty sleep restored."
Investigation on the way back to the previous floor and double checking a room in there: 17
After revisiting each room in the floor below, Bukowyr determines that the best room to rest is the big one with the harpsichord - Well, more open space should mean less things hidden behind fake walls, right? - he said.
Your wounds would be healed after a long rest, however, watching everyones faces once that night was over made everyone aware of signs of sleep deprivation on every member of the party. Everyone shared the noises heard during the night that went from chains being dragged by a large creature to steps getting closer to room where you were resting, of course there was always one of you taking a watch, but everyone agreed that during that time was the moment were you couldn't perceive any strange noise, maybe everything was happening in your heads, actually, that would be the most logical conclusion considering that none of those noises were consistent when the group sat and shared what they listened throughout the night.
"More often than not, in the Underdark, we can hear through the rock pathways the critters chitterling, excavating, scavenging, hissing, gurgling and swallowing. No worries ladies, stay close and we will be safe and warm."
"That was a restless night... And that's coming from someone who is used to sleeping outdoors with all the calming sounds and unsettling sounds of nature around me. Whatever was causing the ruckus... I have to believe it was unnatural. It's the only thing that I can think of.. I am hoping this house will provide a much sounder rest once we've rid whatever seems to be burdening it."
Kai nods in agrreance and runs her fingers through her hair as she eats some of her ration for breakfast. Once finished, she will get up and stretch and look around the group. "Once everyone us ready, We should continue. The quicker we handle this, the less time we need to stay in here. I'd rather not spend another nights rest here unless we've gotten rid of the problem."

The taste of ration is very familiar to Bukowyr. Sometimes he did get the chance of tasting game meat. Even feasting on it on rare occasions. But traveling in harsh conditions is the most usual. This ration was bought on the surface, in the last trading post he had the chance to visit to replenish his gear. Now, he would crave game meat. After the stalking, the tracking, the trapping. Ah, yes.
"I am ready to go. Can we not get beaten by armors again, please? What would be next on attacking us? The furniture? The tapestry?" - leaving the questions lingering in the air, the Svirfneblin walks out to verify the path again. "Time to make everyone safe again. Scouting for the win."
While waiting for Bukowyr, Kai will sit crosslegged, eyes closed as she prays silently to her higher power. In her mind is the foggy outline of her diety, all their features hidden. After her short prayer, Kai feels a wave of newer diving energy flow through her and with a smile, will open her eyes and await Bukowyr's return.

"I had this beautiful dream of hunting untamed voracious beasts. Until... until this nightmarish thing showed up and wiped out each and every monster leaving me with no target whatsoever and I could not know what it was. Awful. Nothing must take my chance to kill aberrations. "
Arranging her battered body on her sleeping roll, Kayla calms her mind and begins to draw upon the eldritch power she'd been granted. She could feel it just beneath her breastbone; a promise, a binding and blessing. The small coal of power had grown.
As if summoned by this discovery, the susurrus of unquiet blades grew stronger in her mind, expectant and waiting. She could feel them urging her on and to shape this new power. Kayla could almost taste it. A clever illusion of a thousand faces and sight beyond even the keenest eyes of her elven kin. Then too was a matrix of power- a spell- offered up. The possibilities danced through her mind and she reached for the wicked cleverness of beguilement and false friendship. The exultant chorus from her Patron, made her twitch before opening her eyes again.
There was a slight sheen of sweat on her brow and she wiped it away with a grimace. Well, at least the Broken Blades were content enough with destroying the armor. Her now mending ribs and the new flush of power dispelled her lingering fear and she drifted off to sleep. The next morning she joined the others in eating cold rations.
“I suppose this is one petty trifle that bards don’t tell tales of,” Kayla said glaring at a particularly tough piece of jerky and then smiles at the deep gnome. “I’m ready to head out, though. Maybe we will find you an aberration or two. This house is strange enough for it but hopefully it will be without the grievous wounds, this time.”

Bukowyr grimaces and give a thumb up to Benito during his attack.
(OOC I'm only waiting for Torvus in order to confirm if the Animated armor will have a chance to attack during this round. )
