Ferdinand moves to g8 to make more room for his friends. He will then hurl two more meteors at the creature for 9 and 8 fire damage (half when beating dc 14 dex save) and he also takes the dodge action.
(ooc: playing blind and Greatfirewall of China is blocking visual for some reason......)
Gedyr advances quickly, utters some arcane words and disappears, only to re-appear immediately opposite the beast from Dihek'nir. Immediately calling on the thunder and bringing his blade down on the beast.
Gedyr will advance directly out as far as he can and then Misty Step to M7 or M8 (oposite Dihek'nir). He will then attack with flanking and his scimitar using Booming Blade.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Botting Bazhak and Zeng.
Bazhak CON Save - 13
Bazhak tries to resist taking damage from the vomit, but his endeavors are unsuccessful, the full foulness of the projectile overwhelming him, taking 15 damage.
Dihek'nir tries to dodge being hit by the awful projectile, but is not fast enough, being splashed and taking 9 damage.
Bala is more successful, the small parts of the vomit dealing him 4 damage.
OOC: I accidentally deleted a dice roll here and the system freaked out, so will continue in the next post.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dihek'nir, after healing himself, runs towards the monster and strikes its torso, between the armored scales, dealing a total of 13 damage.
Creature DEX Save: 20
The creature is able to resist some damage being dealt from Ferdinand's meteors, but takes 9 damage.
Gedyr magically appears in the creature's rear, striking its side with his blade, dealing 13 damage.
Bala moves to a more advantageous position, getting closer to his target.
Bazhak gets as close to the monster as he can, preparing to strike it as soon as possible.
Zeng casts Hunter's Mark on the creature, then aiming his bow and letting loose an arrow:
Attack - 26, Damage - 6 and 1
If not for the creature's cover, Zeng would have likely hit it, but, unfortunately, he hits the fallen column instead.
All in all, the party has dealt 35 damage to the Monster.
Having received the hits, the monster retaliates. He targets the enemy who attacked him first, Dihek'nir. The creature manages two different strikes against the Gith. First, it lashes out with its barbed tongue:
Attack - 24
Damage - 16 Plus 6
OOC: I rolled wrong, so not wanting the system to freak put again, I'm rolling this way.
Then, the creature attempts to Maul Dihek'nir with its paws, striking with the huge claws:
Attack - 9
Damage - 18
After attacking the Gith, the creature seems to have lost interest in his target and will, if given the chance, attack someone else if they are engaged in the melee with it. This is good news for the Gith, as he is very close to losing consciousness.
Ferdinand moves to k3 to gain better visual of the creature. He then lets loose the last two meteors on the creature for 7 and 8 fire damage. He casts ray of frost for 4 cold damage and reduces the creatures speed by 10 feet.
edit: i did not realize that cantrip damage increases at 5th level. Ferdinand dealt an additional 7 cold damage
(OOC: I believe the first attack did not hit Dihek'nir as he used a defensive flourish the previous round, bringing his AC up to 15+3 for a round and the first attack was 17)
Dihek'nir goes for another attack:
Attack: 24 Damage: 8
Adding the defensive flourish: 4, so that's a total of 12 damage and his AC is 19 for a round.
Breating very heavily, he slaps himself and says, "It's not over yet!" (casting Healing Word on himself for 6 health)
OOC: Retracting the damage dealt from Dihek'nir, as indeed, the first attack would not have hit.
Bala runs to the creature, swiping twice with his daggers. One attack is unsuccessful, but the other does manage to draw blood from the monster, dealing 7 damage.
Creature DEX Save for Ferdinand's Meteors - 8
The Creature is unable to move quickly enough in order to dodge Ferdinand's meteors and has to take their full impact, which, coupled with the ray of frost, deals it 26 damage.
Dihek'nir strikes a very well placed blow into the creature's neck, dealing it 12 damage. He also manages to heal himself for a portion of his lost health.
Gedyr strikes the monster with thunder, forcing its body into convulsions and dealing 16 damage.
The creature is now panting very heavily, and is struggling to stay on its feet. That is when Bazhak moves in for the kill, striking it directly into its exposed mouth, cracking its teeth and skull at the same time, dealing the fatal blow to the monster.
The creature is dead, with its blood flowing all around it. While surprising, it failed to adequately challenge the party.
Zeng goes over to the creature and says: "Some of its poisonous phlegm is flowing from its mouth, if anyone has an empty vial, we can make quasi-grenades with it".
Behind the dead creature's back, you see a spiral staircase going downstairs. There seems to be a very slight sound coming from it.
Ferdidnad takes out his notebook and starts to sketch down the creature (if roll is required: 15) he then looks around in the room for any tracks of the dukes men, but also runes on the wall, to gain more knowledge of the temples history. Investigation 20
While he looks around, he says: "would anyone like to take a quick brake?
If the group decides to take a short rest, he will spend the first 10 minutes of it casting leomund's tiny hut as a ritual and the next 10 minutes for arcane recovery.
Ferdinand is sure that this creature has counterparts in other worlds as well, as he can vaguely remember reading about something like it. He writes down all the details and draws an outline of the creature.
Looking around, he can see, that someone has clearly passed here, with faint human footprints visible through the age-old dust covering the floor. However, whoever was here before the creature, did not camp in this room, instead merely passing through it and going downstairs via he spiral staircase.
Dihek'nir cleans his sword and says, "I wouldn't mind a short break to be honest. That was not nice. We seem to be quite safe here as well." (he will roll hit dice for healing if there indeed is a short rest)
Gedyr nodes. "I emerged unscathed but some of you look worse for wear. Perhaps a quick check down the stairs to make sure we haven't alerted anyone is in order. We were not exactly quiet."
Gedyr will also send his hawk out to the main entrance to check outside....
The Party chooses to take the short rest, spending roughly an hour in the room (after clearing up the mess left by the now dead creature, of course).
Gedyr sends out his hawk, who flies around the temple. However, outside of an occasional bird or wildlife, there seems to be nothing of interest outside. This place, or, at least, its exterior appears to be completely abandoned by civilization.
OOC: You can all roll hit dice in your next post.
Approximately an hour into their rest, the party hears a muffled scream from below the spiral staircase. It appears to belong to a human male or something similar, and it stops as abruptly as it began. It seems to be followed by a cackling, as if an old woman is laughing.
After the screaming and cackling has died down downstairs, you also hear a little bit of stomping around, as if something fairly heavy is moving beneath you. Nothing emerges from the stairs, however.

Hawk Perception 23
The Party chooses to take the short rest, spending roughly an hour in the room (after clearing up the mess left by the now dead creature, of course).

(hit dice for Dihek'nir: 6, 9)
Gedyr will use the opportunity to recover a spell slot...with Arcane recovery....otherwise he will be set up watching the stairs....
After the screaming and cackling has died down downstairs, you also hear a little bit of stomping around, as if something fairly heavy is moving beneath you. Nothing emerges from the stairs, however.
Dihek'nir finds a dry place, drops down to his hands and does a quick couple dozen pushups.
"OK, ready to go again!"
"Bala, you up for checking this weirdness out first?"
