Roscoe wakes in an unfamiliar place. That was often the case for the traveling hafling. He wouldn't be heading home for a long while and he was starting to grow fond of seeing so many new places and meeting so many new people. It was a joy getting to spend the evening with Gilda. He was surprised to find she had already packed up her belongings and was gone when he woke. Letting out a sigh, he picked up his gear scattered across the small tent. Letting out a big yawn, he leaves the tent and begins to look for the others hoping they had as equally pleasant evenings.
"Ah, there you are, Roscoe!" Edeleth called as his friend appeared, sleepy-eyed. "We were just discussing the arrangements for giving Gavin his father's letter and things back."

Roscoe climbs up into the wagon and falls down on one of the benches. "Morning,"he says with a yawn. "Yous got a nice group there Rosri. Hope we gets to see them again." Roscoe thinks for a second about what Edeleth is talking about. "Ah. Yea. Sure he'll be glad to hear the news."
“Oh, um this isn’t my family Mr. Edeleth. It is ‘the Family’, it’s a network of gypsies who share intel with each other.. and I’m glad that you gave them a chance.” He looks at Edeleth with kind eyes. “And I have been thinking about that as well, and I think it is a good idée to give back what we found, and if he allow us to keep anything then that will be good as well. I also think he will be more forthcoming with what he knows if we give it back.” Rosris eyes darken for a moment “How ever, I dont’t think I was wrong to give half of my part away. The villagers had lost everything and needed that gold to get by in the Three Peaks. If Gavin don’t see it that way, I will take responsibility for it.”
"Gavin has shown himself to be generous in the past," says Edeleth. "I'm sure he will understand completely. He may even choose to donate more of it to the refugees. If not, I am sure the Granit Clan will do something to help them. Tarden did say he was going to warn them."
Edeleth relaxes a little. He is glad Rosri is willing to return the findings. He is also relieved to have the responsibility--and the temptation--of those hundred gold pieces off his own shoulders.
"When you tell Gavin the story of our adventures, you might just stress the point that the Oakfields dwarves have lost everything," Edeleth adds. "Just in case he needs a nudge."

"Possibly reading somewhere again," said Edeleth, looking around. Last night Zyman had appeared to be deeply absorbed in a book while the festivities were going on, but Edeleth was very personally familiar with the tactic of using reading as way to avoid interacting with people.
Or, possibly, the book was really that interesting. In which case, he might want to borrow it.

Zyman had spent a night filled with terrible dreams, and as a result had trouble waking in the morning. The bright sunlight slapped him rudely in the face, and he awoke to a camp already mostly stowed away and ready to depart. After his soulsearching yesterday, he had heard snippets of conversation about the wider politics and conflicts in the area, and he had gone to bed with an idea in his mind, which had started to come to terrible fruition over the night. At least he had an idea where to go next, and he knew what was to do. Maybe it was a mistake to seclude himself, these people where an interesting bunch, and after all, they had what he sought above all else, information and access to more.
Rubbing most of his sleepiness from his eyes, he yawns and throws on his robes, before heading out of his tent and getting ready to pack up. After a good ten minutes or so, he heads towards the caravans, where he spots Rosri and Edeleth. "Morning. Are we heading off? Sorry about yesterday, sometimes my studies take the best of me."

Zyman makes a good point, and, Edeleth reflects, a very attractive one. He might not have to pawn his scimitar to pay for the wagon rental after all. On the other hand, it troubles him to make a decision based on pure mercenary self-interest. And it would mean tolerating a lot more public attention, just when he had been hoping their fame would have faded.
"It's worth thinking about," he says slowly.
