(Too hard fit me right now to do duergar saving throws, so I'll improvise)
Rhaynas impression of the new giant is that he is not aggressive, but trying to intervene. In response the cleric casts her spell and three of the duergar immediately disengage from the fight and back away. Seeing this change, the other two (Capt Blackskull and the fire Lancer) take defensive positions and manage to hold the two headed crazed giant at bay.
(Dialogue also tricky, LOL)
The second giant runs over and grapples the two headed one, then places a well aimed chop to the back of the neck, at which the two headed giant goes limp and motionless.
Motioning for Gorlak to see to the giants, Blackskull approaches Sekkar and Zeno as Joetaro, Kastix and Kaylyn approach and as Rhayna and Sarith join back with the party. She thanks them for intervening and assisting with the battle, noting they took some of the giant's attacks and attention away from the duergar. She resumes the proposal that she has commenced before the attack, offering the protection of the Stone Guard in exchange for some assistance with a problem.

After the two headed giant goes motionless, Rhayna gets within range, holds her pendant towards the giant, and casts Healing Word (lvl2) (Heal: 9) on him.

The Stone Guard aren't accustomed to being told when and where their business will be done, and Captain Blackskull is clearly about to object to Sekkar's dictates, but is interrupted by Kastix, speaking a language she only partly understands. But seeing the dragon-styled pin attached to his clothing, the duergar captain checks herself momentarily, surprised to see that this outsider has apparently garnered the favor of the Keepers of the Flame, and Sekkar takes the opportunity to slip away unchallenged. Still, the captain's authority is not to be treated lightly, and she responds to Kastix with a growl in her best broken Common, saying essentially: It is not an offer to be considered, tiefling. You do as I command, or you find yourselves in the slave pens. I'll not uphold the business of the dragon-priests, but I expect to see you all at Overlake Hold in two hours' time.
Rhayna revives the two-headed giant, but it is too disoriented and injured to resume fighting, and although it seems more subdued, the second giant restrains it anyway. Looking at Rhayna, and speaking Undercommon, in a voice like a bucket of gravel the second giant says: Thank you, human, for sparing him. I am Dorhun, apprentice to Stonespeaker Hgraam. This is Rihuud, another of the Stonespeakers apprentices. He was communing with the stone in Cairngorm Cavern when he went mad, sprouted a second head, and stormed out. We will do what we can for him, but again I thank you for your aid. And with that Dorhun heaves Rihuud to his feet and half-carries him back into the city.

Rhayna bows slightly to Dorhun, and reaches for her backpack. She takes Stool out, and gently leaves it on the ground. "I hope you are ok little fellow. No rest for the weary indeed my friend." Still crouched, she looks around. "Listen Stool. I need you to do me a big favor. Please use your spores so that we can all understand each other." She gets up. "It seems to be safe now, but do try to stay close to me."
Rhayna then retrieves her Journal and starts to record the incident with the two headed giant. As she does that she approaches Captain Blackskull, and speaks in Undercommon (just in case). "Captain. Excuse ma'am." She starts to write down her question as she asks. "Have you seen more of the events that just transpired recently in Gracklstugh? What I mean by that is basically seemingly ordinary people just going mad or turning very aggressive for no apparent reason." She gets a little closer to the Captain, and with a lower voice she asks. "The giant back there said the one we fought just sprouted a head. Is that also normal around here?" She backs off a little, looks at the Captain, straighten her glasses, ink pen in the air ready to record the answer.

Stool activates its spores, and understanding quickly floods into the minds of all those in the vicinity. The Captain seems a little surprised but not bothered by the presence of a myconid, and not unfamiliar with the effects of the spores. Answering Rhayna's questions, Blackskull replies:
Well we've encountered ettins before, but this is the first time I've seen one of the stone giants sprout a second head! Other things have been happening though, most of them minor, such as merchants losing their tempers, or citizens behaving aggressively. We maintain order but I've had reports that some of the guards have been abusive. The derro have always been crazy and aggressive, but they seem to have become involved in organised crime along with other undesirable elements of society. And worst of all, I'm concerned that there may be corruption within the Stone Guard itself. This is what I would enlist your help with, and what I cannot effectively achieve myself - finding evidence of any corruption within the guard. Inform your fellows of this and I will forgo my summons to Overlake Hold.
While the 'girls' are in conversation with the Captain, the 'boys' huddle out of sight discussing the latest developments. Sarith suddenly stiffens as the drow from the inn approaches. Holding up his hand in the drow manner of greeting, he says to Sarith in what Zeno and Joetaro recognise as a dialect of Elvish: I bring tidings of warning. You are of House Mizzrym, no? I assume this is the group of escaped prisoners. Without waiting for a response from Sarith, the drow continues in Undercommon addressing the group as a whole: News travels fast underground. I have no desire to see a rival house regain the benefit of powerful slaves, so I warn you. A House Mizzrym scouting party arrived in the city last night, searching for you. They are not yet aware of your presence, but these public actions of yours may quickly change that.

When given the opportunity to meet with the others in private Kaylyn fills them in with what happened.
"Gartokkar's, leader of the Keepers of the Flame brought us to see Themberchaud, a red dragon who wanted us to do what Gartokkar was going to ask us to do but report to him first. He knew something was happening. Gartokkar then asked us to investigate a group called the Gray Ghosts who are behind the strange magical occurrences. Our best lead is to follow a derro named Droki who might lead us to their hideout. He is probably the same Rhayna saw earlier. "
She then hands the other 3 the gold pins featuring the profile of the red dragon.
"These will allow us outside of the Darklake district. The Keepers of the flame will leave us alone. And it seems so will the guard. "
Lizardman only listened drow's monologue without joining the talk, but listened well. Slavers found them. In his books it meant one thing - run! Run fast and do not look back. Surely, convincing others would not be that hard.
Back in the inn (or where ever party decided to talk) Sekkar quite seriously thought about Rhayna's idea and answered carefully: "Do not remember anyone in Sloobludop with two heads. Though with did not see that many. Do remember you said the thing in the lake was demon, and this one here - just a giant. But if you are right, it means only that we have to move out sooner, rather than later".
Kaylyn's reveals ended this too complicated speculations and not pleasantly - the dragon meant changes of all plans. Sekkar studied the pin before fixing it on his tabard: "A red dragon. Hard to refuse, I guess. But the guards are not that easy to refuse either. And we also have slavers. Something tells me, they do not care much about golden pins. So, what's the plan?"
Zeno also shares what he knows. “A woman in the market mentioned the derro and the Gray Ghosts as well, that’s why I was looking for them. She said the guards were hesitant to go into derro territory in the city. She said they were running some kind of organized crime out of there, and it was getting out of hand. She offered me a magical cloak that would help me be hidden if we could find their base. We saw a Duergar killed by two assassins down at the docks, they had what looked like magical swords.” Zeno pauses and thinks.
“We could try again to find the derro, or go straight for the slavers and meet them head on first. Or would this dragon be inclined to help us out with them?”
Sarith speaks up and says it is unlikely the drow scouts will attempt to make a move against them directly while in Gracklstugh. The duergar wouldn't allow it. The drow will have to request for their arrest first, and then petition the guard or even the Deepking to have them handed over, and probably pay a fee. Their endorsement by the dragonpriests might protect them in that regard, but no guarantee.
