Kastix launches yet another fireball, and this one is a real doozy. Not that it was any bigger or hotter than the others - in fact perhaps less so - but with Rhayna only having just converged on the two fallen mages, and with the apprentice priestess arriving on the scene and the other foot-soldiers closing in protectively, the effect was decidedly more pronounced. Rhayna felt the back of her eyeballs cook slightly as the huge explosion erupted right beside her, but when the stinging cleared, she found Asha blackened and prone, the three protective drow likewise, and the newly-healed mage who has just started to rise to one knee also prone again, and with blackened and blistering skin. Only Ilvara remained, still helpless, and with all her acolytes fallen, now with no hope of magical aid.
Sekkar is meanwhile still under heavy attack, but reaches for and draws forth a potion. As he lifts it to his scaly lips he holds Dawnbringer aloft, and the sword seems to glow just a little warmer and brighter than before, while a radiant shimmering serpent appears and slowly winds its way up Sekkar's leg and around his waist, even as Sekkar's whole body continues to throb with the eerie green light of the drow's magic fire. The sight is impressive even for those who know Sekkar well, but for the three drow, battle-hardened as they are, the sight is clearly disconcerting. Two of the warriors falter and seem on the verge of fleeing, their hesitance no doubt exacerbated by the fall of their arcane supporters, the helplessness of their priestess. The taller and more broad-shouldered of the two is also now becoming the target of fresh attacks, as first Pax's then Kaylyn's magical blasts slam into him, as well as Kaylyn's curse, and the taunting challenge from Pax giving him further pause. Only Shoor remains unmoved and with spittle collecting at his mouth, stabbing and slashing in an increasing frenzy, he screams at Sekkar: Curse you! Why will ye not die? To the last I shall grapple with thee. From Lolth's lair I shall stab at thee; for hate's sake I shall spit my last breath at thee! His words are barely out when the earth elemental that looms behind him starts swinging its massive fists, but Shoor is skilled, and manages to deflect them with his shield even as his attention remains fixed on Sekkar.
Pax also finds the green glow around her has fizzled away, and Kaylyn and Kastix see the spectral flail has also vanished.
Somewhere behind Kastix and Kaylyn, the gnome mage goes running toward the boulder, and releases a blast of energy that is so cold it sends a chill up their spines...
Rhayna has her eyes trained on the Drow Priestess, but she was concerned with the crowd gathering around her. Luckily for her Kastix did what he do best, and then it was only her and her quarry. She moves herself to the top of the unconscious body of her former tormentor (like sitting on top of Ilvara, but with her legs bent on the ground), then she puts both two hands on her shoulders (to secure the target to the ground). Hate swells inside of the Cleric, hate that she has never felt before. "Goddess, please forgive me for what I am about to do."
Rhayna first heals the drow under her. (BA: Healing Word: 3) When Ilvara is back to consciousness. "Greetings Dear Ilvara. I did not believe that the Moonmaiden would grant me this day, but here we are. The scars in my body reminds me of our very intimate relation every day, so now I am finally able to reciprocate it in kind." The Cleric's eyes glow very dark green, and her body starts to change. (Action: Wild Shape to Symbiotic Entity). However, this time she lets the spore in her body to run wilder than ever before, and one can't almost tell there is actually a person under all that angry spores. "I dearly do hope that The Lady will receive your soul after I am done with you."
(On Ilvara's turn, she must make a CON Save DC16, or she receives 4 necrotic damage from Rhayna's Halo of Spores)

Ilvara's eyes flutter open at Rhayna's word of healing, instantly narrowing as she sees the moon cleric kneeling over her. As the spores flow from Rhayna's body, Ilvara's eyes widen again in surprise at the rather horrific sight, but this demonic priestess has spent her fair share of time with fiendish horrors, and is hardier than many, and as much as Rhayna's spores cover Ilvara's exposed dark skin, the priestess flexes her wiry body and shakes off the attacks. Then, calling out to her demonic patron Lolth, Ilvara sweeps her one free hand and speaks a dark word of healing of her own. The word is weakly spoken, but apparently sufficient to restore vitality not only to Ilvara herself, but to revive the fallen mage and the junior priestess Asha, and to partially heal the warriors fighting Pax and Sekkar.
No sooner has Asha awoken again than she herself, even while laying on the ground, reaches out to touch her mistress and call on the power of the dark goddess Shar. The deity is evidently ready to respond for the sake of the conflict with Selune's priest, rekindling the age-old battle between the Mistress of the Night and the Moonmaiden, and fresh life floods into Ilvara's body as she snarls at Rhayna, who still kneels over her prone form.
Shoor and the other two warriors feel the fresh power flow into them. Not in vain did they retain their hope in their mistress and her fearsome patron, for the battle seems to swing again in their favour. Not forgetting the last command of their mistress, who even yet from death's door still commands them, they put aside their temporary bout of fear and doubt, and redouble their attacks. Shoor has earned his place in Ilvara's favour for good reason, and his fresh poison-laden attacks seem to be too much for the Sekkar. With fresh confidence, the other two drow turn their attention to Pax, the hated half-breed.
If the first set of attacks is enough to reduce Sekkar to zero HP, then the next set will be against Pax, and E4 will pick up Dawnbringer rather than attack.

Pax slips out of the combat unmolested by the warrior who seems somewhat shocked to have received a cold kickback from its last attack. Although still prone, the drow wizard has the presence of mind to raise some defensive magic against Pax's blasts, but one of them still gets through, leaving the mage severely wounded but still conscious.
Kaylyn meanwhile fires her own blasts at Ilvara, but the priestess is difficult to target laying under Rhayna, and only one of the bolts finds its mark. Both Kaylyn and Kastix also manage to call on some healing magic, and Sekkar is once again alert, although a bit disoriented. A bolt of fire from Kastix distracts the drow enough for Sekkar to leap up and grab him, and although the slippery drow manages to avoid the lizard's sharp fangs, it cannot break out of his iron grip.
The gnome mage turns at Kaylyn's behest, struggling to pick out the suggested targets as there is a huge elemental in the way, as well as Rhayna still in the midst, but three magic darts go streaking at each of the two targets. All three strike Ilvara, but bounce harmlessly off the drow mage, who is still protected by the invisible shield, which the poor gnome was understandably unable to detect.
Wounded but still fighting, the drow mage rises to his feet and casts another powerful spell, although the effect isn't immediately discernable. (Any of the spellcasters can roll a DC 15 Arcana check to identify the spell based on the components used). Meanwhile, the remaining gnome guard, still willing to help despite being outclassed, moves in to distract the drow holding Dawnbringer's hilt, to give Sekkar a better chance with his quarry. The two elementals also bring their support. Shoor is livid that Sekkar has awakened and rejoined the fight, and is so busy spouting fresh threats that he fails to dodge the huge overhand punch from the elemental. With a sickening crack, Shoor's head is crushed down between his shoulders, his arms flail outwards limply as his eyes roll back in his head, and he drops to the ground.
