Captain Bertram accepts the coin and says “aye, we have an accord! Welcome aboard the Steelfin!”
he will assign crew duties based on previous sailing experience. Beric will serve as first mate for the ship, Reginald will be the bosun, Keric will be quartermaster and provide navigation, Elias and Rellynn will serve as deck hands. Beric, Reginald, and Keric will also aid as deckhands due to the small crew size
You show the captain the map and the spot of the first shipwreck that you have chosen. Keric will plot a course to the shipwreck, if you will make an intelligence check please.
So studying the map, you are having difficulty lining up landmarks with the surrounding terrain of the coast. After about two hours of comparing the map and the coast line, you finally pick up a marker that shows your position and you are able to navigate to the shipwreck. The captain says “well, I had me doubts but seems like we made it.”

Reginald of Neverwinter:
Looking up ahead, Reginald peers at the shipwreck, trying to see what he can tell about it from the surface, and perhaps how deep the water is around it.
It is difficult to tell exactly, but this particular shipwreck is just off the coast where a storm blew the ship onto a reef. The best estimate looks like the wreck is about 40 feet down with the current tide level
Going down will be no problem. Moving horizontally will be at half speed. In order to swim up, you will make a strength check and move half speed on a success. On one failure you will remain in place and two consecutive failures will have you sink 10 feet.
Looking at the depth of the water, Reg says to the others, "Unless someone here has magic to allow me to breathe underwater, I will take the cautious route and remove my armor." Reg takes off his plate armor, carefully stowing it and most of the rest of his gear in a secure location on the boat. He also takes off his outer layer of clothing in preparation for diving, taking his dagger and a javelin with him in addition to some netting that might be useful for pulling up items in the water.

Captain Blackhand: Stowing the majority of his gear below deck, Beric hangs his jacket and hat upon a hook before rejoining the others. He says, "Lemme 'ave a look-see down below first, so we ain't surprised by a school of sahuagin or somethin'."
Tying a rope around his waist, the Pirate hands the other end to Reg, shouting, "Man overboard!," as he slowly lowers himself into the water. Careful to cause as little disturbance as possible, Beric does his best to remain stealthy as he searches for threats as well as the shipwreck itself.

Reg ties off the other end of the rope on the ship and holds the middle of the rope as Beric slips under the water. If he feels a strong tug on the rope or some other signal of distress, he will start pulling Beric back up--otherwise he just takes up the slack.

Keric, eager to try out his aquatic armor, will follow the old pirate into the water. He'll be able to move faster than Beric, but trusts his judgement more than his own, so he'll keep pace with him and be ready to grab and haul him back to the surface if anything happens.
Beric and Keric slip over the edge of the ship and swim down toward the shipwreck. As you near it, you can see it sitting on the reef where it met its final end. I believe Beric had an increased swim distance due to a background feature if I am not mistaken and Keric has the mariner's armor on. Both of you are moving quickly through the water. As you reach the shipwreck, you begin the search for the remains of the sailors. You immediately notice 6 bodies on the main deck and two near the stern of the stip at the wheel. You can work together to quickly gather these remains and return to the surface before your air runs out.
Captain Blackhand: Not at all liking the look of the corpses, Blackhand signals Keric to return to the surface. Climbing back aboard, he says, "Found the wreck, we did, but...," The Pirate trails off a moment before continuing, "...but, the corpses of the sailors ain't right. They should'a been devoured by the sea by now, mateys. They might'n be undead."

Reg pulls 10 gold out of his pouch and pays the captain to take them to the shipwreck. Smiling at the others he says, "Let's go."

OoC - Sorry guys, didn't see the skill check request. Thanks for the PM Scott.
Keric takes a look at the map and does his best to remember the shoreline and ocean bottom contours of the area. Straight INT: 4
