"Is this the one they're calling a Taken?" Ashissa says as she remembered earlier someone at the east tower speak of it. She knows no normal being can just stand up after getting pummeled to death by a rock on the face. She then prepares for a confrontation against the halfling missing most of its face as she takes out a black orb covered in scales
Ashissa's Initiative: Unable to parse dice roll.
OOC: I probably used the wrong format. Here's another roll.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Without a second thought, Hadar takes his mace from his belt and quickly closes the gap between himself and the corrupted looking halfling at the door. He will need all the help he can get, and so calls upon his ancestral gifts of magic by evoking the words, "Zefirnyy udar." All the while, light from his swinging mace sends a burst of bright, radiating light out into the room and beyond.
Hadar has no time or patience for this unnatural host, and intends to put a stop to or at least unceremoniously evict him from the doorway. The two figures standing behind him are his true concern. He must also get to his shield to help block the doorway and their entrance.
Warriors of My Blood, I Call Upon Your Blessing
(Still learning this dice roller and char stats, so pls bare with me.)
Spell Cast: Zephyr Strike [Concentration]= 7, lasts 1 min (if successful, i'm saving the advantage weapon attack for later)
To hit with mace = Attack: 17 Damage: 9, includes +2 dmg favored enemy (humanoids)
If "taken" halfling is considered undead/fiendish, then extra radiant dmg applies = 7
If the halfling manages to still be up after all that, then:
Extra Weapon Attack and Dmg (Dreaded Ambush) = Attack: 15 Damage: 8
Please keep in mind:
- Hadar's start of first turn speed is 40ft (After the Zephyr Strike kicks off and he designates his advantage attack, Hadar's speed increases to 60 until the end of that turn.) - With that spell, none of his moves provoke attacks of opportunity - Beginning AC is 17, after shield is out then it goes up to 19
Religion Roll (for good measure) = 18 (natural 20 -1 for INT!)
(OOC, just jumping in here, will post for Hadar's attack later today. Just wanted to be clear that we're going with the standard 6 seconds per round here, so a spell like Zephyr's strike would last 10 rounds.
Ashissa,I had mentioned to you before that I would allow half time for ritual casting since it takes 10 whole minutes, but I got the math all wrong in my head. Half time would be 50 rounds, not 5! Casting a ritual during almost any battle is not really going to work unless the battle takes 50 turns and you aren't attacked.)
(OOC: To not slow things down in case things get moving overnight or early in the morning, Leann will be casting Protection from Evil and Good on herself as her action. She will move to place herself to help block the door, so that any of the taken need to get past her to get into the building.)

(OOC: On the good side, Leann's initiative is very low, so both of your current taken get to go before she can even cast her spell, let alone move... lol)

Spell Cast: Zephyr Strike [Concentration]= 13, lasts 1 min (if successful, i'm saving the advantage weapon attack for later)
To hit with mace = Attack: 22 Damage: 7, includes +2 dmg favored enemy (humanoids)
If "taken" halfling is considered undead/fiendish, then extra radiant dmg applies = 7
If the halfling manages to still be up after all that, then:
Extra Weapon Attack and Dmg (Dreaded Ambush) = Attack: 11 Damage: 8

Religion Roll (for good measure) = 19 (natural 20 -1 for INT!)
The furious gusts of wind pile sand against the door, higher and higher. The entryway begins filling with debris and the wind whips into the shelter, even causing those near the back of the building to squint their eyes and hide their faces. The air is becoming nearly unbreathable near the door…
As the Halfling-beast steps forward, Hadar's mace cracks against its haggard cranium, sending shards of bone and brain cascading in an arc, splattering against the door and coating Hadar's shield in viscera. The cavity sparkles with radiant energy, crackling and burning.
Damage Total - 22
An unearthly scream erupts from the gnarled remnants of the thing's bloody stump of a neck, the cerebellum pulsating with dark energy as it crumples to its knees before Hadar’s feet.
(OOC you don’t need to subtract anything from a natural 20, that’s an auto-pass)
Hadar knows instinctively what this is, even with his minor knowledge the Gods and Demons - these are twisted children of the Demon Kerakys and they are relentless under the cover of Darkness.
A chill touch tickles up Hadar’s spine and as an electric arc jumps from the Taken’s body up along his torso, but Hadar’s iron will and pumping blood shakes the Parasitic attack from his mind. The air seems more breathable for a split second as the demon departs… until the next Possessed body steps through the door.
(Hadar resists the demon Possession)
Beyond the door, another massive bolt of lightning, this one an azure so bright and hot that it sizzles the tips of everyone’s hair and a loud crack can be heard from the North end of the camp.
(OOC Mister Chaotic - name your melee attack target for the Possessed human coming through the door and roll to hit 2 times, +2 for the first d20, plus 0 to the second. Please also roll up to 4 more straight d20s for additional possessions outside in the storm)
Were you going to roll to hit or just stare at him? 🤔
Roll a d20 six times and give me all six of them.
Oh wow. Uh, total? 41.
(OOC no, 6 individual results. You're rolling a multi-attack for the Possessed guy hitting Hadar in the Great Hall, so that's 2 hit die to see if the attacks connect. Then you're rolling 4 other d20s, one to try and possess 4 other humans who are caught outside in the sandstorm. Every turn, you get to attack with each Taken one you have, and try to raise 4 more if anyone is left.

Ok 10 16 16 3 18 11. I rerolled because I had rolled them since. 3 and 11 for the attacks connection and the rest to posses.
The Taken One steps forward into the light emanating from Hadar’s mace from out of the storm. The poor human body is worn to crimson with erosion from the sand, sand and blood draining from every orifice. Seeing the fallen Halfling’s corpse, it shrieks with rage.
Within a split second it is next to Hadar, body slamming him with all its might. The human body contacts the Half-orc’s shield and bounces right off, its nose bloodied and its black eyes furious. Letting out a hollow roar, the demon brings its host’s hands to bear, fingers arched like weapons. Obsidian talons erupt from the human fingers, leaving them tattered and red. The demon attacks again, slashing at Hadar with both hands in succession – the first strike glancing harmlessly off his Scale Mail. The second attack sees a claw bury into the Scale, only to have the talon snap off at the tip.
Beyond the door, another massive bolt of lightning shakes the canyon, this one an azure so bright and hot that it sizzles the tips of everyone’s hair. A loud crack can be heard from the North end of the camp and 3 distinct screams of unholy origin sound from out in the darkness, inhumanly howling above the all consuming wind.
(3 Possessed souls have been taken in the North tower)
The Goliath clears his throat and wraps a piece of sheer muslin cloth around his face to keep the sand out of his mouth and eyes. He snaps his right index finger against its thumb and the Mastiff cocks her head with a low whine. His thumb jerks to the South side of the building, where the Librarian sits against the wall, looking a mess. The Mastiff obediently trots over to the Librarian and stands over her protectively, turning just once to give her a huge lick across her face, leaving a cascade of slobber.
With that, the stone-skinned man lets out a thunderous Battle Cry, his muscles bulging and his eyes red with Rage. The Greataxe held before his heaving chest seems to rain a light ash which never finds a resting place, and the cerulean glow along the grip intensifies, sizzling against his skin. He abruptly charges out into the storm, the sand and debris pelting off of his skin like so much light rain.

Not wanting to destroy her only shelter from the dangerous weather outside the great hall, Ashissa concentrates on what's ahead of her.
She quickly utters an incantation under her breath as she holds the black scaled orb and appoints a curse unto the human attacking Hadar, constantly draining its strength.
She then utters another incantation and points her finger, releasing a beam of crackling energy towards the raging creature.
Bonus Action: Hex (Disadvantage on Strength checks)
Action: Eldritch Blast Attack: 22 Damage: 8 Force Damage
