(Lessons have been learned. not going to try this kind of split up, party refinement deal again, as the time difference grows too quickly. That being said, we're at stage 3 of the trials! so so long as i don't get hit by a car, we'll be all good)
With those remaining shuffling out of the booths, or having already gathered onto the main field, proctors and such come out and collect the paperwork gathered on you all, and workers and guards clean up the mess from the first part. A tall proctor in a heavy coat approaches the podium, and calls for attention. "You have all done well thus far, and I am proud to have spent these moments learning about you, from your actions in the field, to your words to our membership. Unfortunately, there are only so many available spots on this expedition, so some of you won't be having the distinct honor of serving with us in His Majesty's grand vision. To those of you who do make it though! Power! Honor! Prestige! And for the more... materialistic of you; yes, a fair sum of coin too.
This final test will be a hard one. In all honesty and seriousness, casualties and fatalities are expected here, as well as the mission to follow should you survi- succeed. Know that this path you take will be dangerous, so if you fear for your life, or cannot afford to risk it, you may withdraw now, and may no-one here judge you less for it. Those of you who wish to take on the final test, speak forward and shout out your name for those of us to hear!"
(This is to tally up those who still remain, among other things... I understand some of you have left and dropped out by this point due to the wait, and that is more than fair, considering.)
Having passed the previous tests Xandar wasn't about to back down. The talk about casualties didn't intimidate him because it seemed like a tactic to deter those who lack the courage to brave the dangers of the real expedition. The warrior took a step forward and raised his voice, "I am Xandar Temerion and I will take this final trial." After he spoke he turned towards the rest and waited to see how else would join him in this endeavor.
A dwarf steps up beside the half orc, "Sihnion the Lesser. I too stand ready.". He glances around for a sight of their earlier companion, a gnome that was small in stature but large in volume.
Ahkota wakes with a sudden panic. Sitting up from the hill he found himself sleeping on, Ahkota looked around and saw a smaller group of people taking with someone standing before a podium. They must be someone of import.
Ahkota makes his way towards this new grouping and slides up next to Xandar quietly.
(I have been notified by nschrock also wishes to continue, I just need to work something out with him first.)
As some of you stand up and walk forwards, most others remain seated, and quite a few gather their belongings and leave. this number slowly starts to grow and the trickle grows to a stream of people. A few recognized this man and knew that his warning was not in jest. After a few minutes, the only ones left are around 20 of you, yourselves included.
"Your bravery is commendable, but I pray that it isn't foolhardiness. Right then, the last test will be a trial by fire as it were. Lately, a large beast has been seen wandering out of the forest and preying on the farmland, devouring sheep and goats. It wasn't even noticeable until lately, because whatever it is left no bodies. Unfortunately, we've started to lose people to this thing, and now it needs to be dealt with. Reports suggest that the beast is a large reptile of some kind, likely unable to leave the country due to the frigid peaks that surround us. You should depart and search for the beast in 6-man cells, to ensure your own safety if nothing else. I recommend that everyone here rest up for the night, but that is your choice to make."
"The group that brings me the creature's head will earn their seats on the caravan, with the remaining seats going to the highest scoring entrants who survive. Thank you all, now good luck, and stay safe. May the Lights hold you close."
Large reptile? Does it leave tracks? How often does it go hunting? These sightings - have they been at night? in the day time? or during the in between hours with the sun close to the mountains?
Step 1 - find the beast
Step 2 - pin it down
Step 3 - jam a log or boulder into it's snout, and blind it
Step 4 - jump onto it's back from behind and start hacking away at it's neck
Sorted! Master Sihnion, shall we start looking on the morrow ere the break of day?
Thasla approaches Sihnion and Tamoda. "Hello; may I join you two tomorrow?" The aasimar asks.
Grim follows Thasla. “Still working together?”
"Of course, Grim." Thasla says with a warm smile. "If we both join Sihnion, Tamoda, and Xandar, we just need one more in the group to make six. Have you seen Atallia anywhere?"
Tamoda walks over to the bar with his companions and has a quick pint.
At least we did not lose any cargo. And we are still going. "Never stop fighting until the fight is done." says Ma...
"I'll raise a jar to that", enjoins Sihnion, relieved that the first test is behind them.
Tamoda steps out of the tent and gives a hearty NEXT

A big half orc in woodland brown and green steps forth and bellows TAMODA
"I, Thasla Rossir, wish to undertake this trial!" the Aasimar calls out as she steps forward.

"Aye, we should be away at first light", declares Sihnion. "Now let's eat and get some rest."
"I think I'll join you tomorrow if you don't mind. If the beast is as dangerous as they say, we'll have to work together.", Xandar exclaimed.
Can we assume a long rest?
Sihnion has a spent spell slot plus should prepare appropriate spells for monster hunting.
Grim follows Thasla. “Still working together?”

Tamoda to the others - All I will need is a hearty meal, a good sleep, and then to know where to start looking for this beast
You have the option of taking a long rest, or hunting it tonight in the dark, free to roam further.
Carefully decide amongst yourselves.
“I’m ready whenever the rest of you are. Can’t rush a monster hunt though.” Grim hefts his shield a few times, and loosens his rapier in his scabbard.
