Once she’s had her fill of second breakfast, and the group is ready to depart, Alys would formally thank Lord Hartley for filling their bellies and offering them this opportunity. She’d give him a bow before she takes her leave with the group.
“You’ve... had... enough!” Yvan says through gritted teeth as he struggles with pulling the druid away from the table. He had to limit his strength to not hurt her, but Gods above help him. “So much strength... for someone so small!” It took a hot minute for him to successfully get Kasha away from the buffet, and he held onto her tightly as they made their way out in case she tried to bolt for it.

You depart from Cerellia, having not only had the time of your lives at the festival, but also a new client that just gave you an incredibly profitable job. You all gather back into the cart and with Kasha's ability to speak with animals, the cart practically drives itself.
Kasha: You give the horses the directions and politely ask them to take you there and they oblige. They enjoy being around you, as most animals do and the open line of communication that you have with them not only gives you a good handle on traveling the road, but also a pleasant conversation with the horses. (Feel free to give them whatever names you choose).
Stella: While Lord Hartley didn't see much of you during the meeting this morning, it didn't appear that he or his wife recognized you from their brief glances. At this point, you can determine that they simply don't remember you now as they only saw you once as a 10-year old girl and now you're a grown woman. For now, you've completely managed to avoid your past, with Furlong being the only memoir from those days.
Alys: Vastra converses with you about history and other academic subjects. The high-elf has always sought to know more about the rest of the world and you know that her pursuit of knowledge is why she left her home country to join you all as part of this mercenary company. She also asks you for more of your herb, making an effort to sit near the outside of the cart, so that no one else is breathing in the fumes.
Everyone: The weather is beautiful and you aren't accosted by any outsiders on the road. How are you passing your time as you travel?

Rinn spends much of the ride near the front of the cart, studying the horses, reminiscing of his days as a mounted scout on the high plains and intrigued by Kasha's ability to converse with the majestic beasts. "And here I thought I to be one of the best horseman of the land, but your skill is simply awe-inspiring," he says with much respect beaming on his face. "I have of such people who can be one with the beasts of the world, but I'll admit my travels had not afforded me the opportunity to see it up close. You are gift, Kasha. I treasure this experience."
When not admiring the horses or Kasha's handiwork, Rinn keeps a vigilant eye on their surroundings. Old habits die hard.
Stella breathes a sigh of relief upon realizing she won't be recognized by the Hartleys. She spends the ride petting Obsidian and checking to make sure her sword, daggers and bolts are all ready for battle.
Like a limp cat, Kasha was carried away with a sad expression on her face and she woefully waved goodbye to the food. She met the horses who would be taking them to their destination with much excitement and mounted one in particular, who's name was Victor, and as the horse walked she would lay face up on it's back looking up to the sky and talked to the horse, as if they were having a conversation. During the journey, she would be found in some shape or form riding one horse or another, laying on them in strange positions, but the horses didn't seem to mind at all.
She turned to Rinn. "Thanks Rinn!" she beamed, "But the real treasure is being able to tag along with you guys and call you my friends."

Content to take it easy in the back, Barnabus alternates between marveling at the apparatus strapped to his form, and jotting down notes. It is only halfway through the day's journey that the latter bears fruit. Because unless he is stopped, the half-orc plays a few tunes in idle happiness, mixing in odd repeating noise or beat to help "enhance" the song. And when that alone isn't enough, he changes shape and clothing.
At one point he's a shirtless and muscular bugbear playing doing more beat boxing than playing, a sly looking, dark-haired dwarf, a blue-grey skinned female elf that looked more ready to throw hands than play music, and then finally a golden-eyed aasimar woman with long, flaming red hair the others might recognize from a previous trip over the year. In fact, thinking back, the elf and bugbear are reminiscent of members of a certain gang of mountain pass highwayman. So they claimed at least, fervently, only to play a bigger hand keeping the way clear of other bandits, and generally being more minor nuisances at best to other travelers.
Last anyone in the group saw the pair, the two had opted to defend the pass from Mountain Ogres. A delay tactic meant to let a previously exhausted and much more green Misfits Company escape along with some other travelers...
"What do you all think, Darlings? I know the fight to be short, but I've been trying all the same to put words to it. Then it hit me! Why not music?"She admits in her husky voice. "Now granted. I did get my butt handed to me quite--Whoops. Ya'll just let me--" Squeezing his eyes shut tight, Barnabus returns to being Barnabus the half-orc teen again in clothing and all. "Much better... Where was I?"
Alys would happily converse with Vastra over history and other academic subjects, packing her pipe as the high-elf desired, happy to share. The longer they chatted around these subjects, the more Alys' demeanor started to 'age'. Her voice would soften, she'd speak more eloquently and with a broader vocabulary. Her facial features would relax and become less animated... she seemed, graceful. When it came to academics, Alys' true intelligence and wisdom would bubble up to the surface when someone else shared the same interest. If at any time there were a lull or break in the conversation, Alys would pull out her journal to take notes of anything interesting she learned from the conversation with Vastra. After any note taking, she'd sketch.
Rinn: You spot nothing over the course of your journey, save for some other people traveling the road and some nice animals that Kasha talks to.
Everyone: You travel into the forest, going deep until you reach a clearing with a gated manor in the distance. According to the directions you were given, this is the manor that Maxwell told you about. But something's wrong. The trees at the edge of the forest have vines running all up them. Weeds are strewn all through the clearing and the grass is wild, it looks to be going up to your ankles. And in the distance, you see humanoid forms ambling about inside the gates of the manor. You can't really tell what they are from this distance, but Vastra begins uttering some arcane incantations and patting herself down. "Better safe than sorry. But it definitely looks like this Theleus fellow isn't doing his job." The horses stop at just the edge of the clearing and refuse to go further. Kasha, when you ask then why, Victor says "I'm sorry, but we can't go forward in those conditions. But we're rooting for you though!" The horses neigh, encouragingly.
