"This might be a good place to stop and maybe get a good meal. We could stay at an inn but I see Nasaar wants to keeping heading forward. What does everyone else want to do?" Koda hollers to the people in the carriage. He stay as focused as possible to make sure there isn't an accident while travelling in such a prestigious city. He hadn't been back here since the war.
Muffled from the cabin, Jon pipes up in his reedy voice. "I think we've come a fair way today - no need to push on through the night. I wouldn't mind a fire, but we've also spent a lot to get the wagon, and I'm sure whatever inns we find will fleece us for more than we can afford. Hospitality will be more needed - and less forthcoming - the closer we get to the Mournlands. We should save our gold to... secure better lodgings later. Maybe we just circle north to the edge of the city and camp? I'd like that."
At The Cartographer's words, Zilpip inclines his large-eyed head ever so slightly. "Of course you have anticipated my need. I appreciate your foresight and your grace. Once again, I am in your debt." Zilpip turns and follows the rest out, the metal version of the Vedalken, Yuiprt — moving more elegantly than any metal man short of a warforged should be able to do — bringing up the rear.
They join the group headed for the HQ, stopping at both bed chamber and lab to pack for the trip. Zilpip loads Yuiprt with four potions of healing, swearing he's going to take the time to brew some stronger ones as soon as this job is done. Lastly, he dons his armor almost as an afterthought. He looks at himself in the mirror. "Personal hygiene aside, your inattentiveness to cleanliness is marked," he says to himself, eyeing the less-than-stellar state of the adamantine half plate.
Yuiprt sits cross-legged upon the roof of the carriage, its cold eyes taking in everything, but commenting on nothing. Zilpip sits inside the cabin, his long limbs finding comfort however they can. It is logical for those with more experience — or at least the desire to do so — drive the horses. The artificer passes the time by fiddling with random parts he carries in a sack everywhere he goes. Once or twice, he engages Ambre in a discussion surrounding either of their specialties. He finds the human tolerably emotional and values her expertise.

"If there is no advantage to be sought by seeking accommodations which would needlessly drain our bank accounts," Zilpip speaks up, "I concur with the suggestion we make camp outside the city. Any commercial needs may be found by way of a short walk. Otherwise, we are more than capable of roughing it."
Calrych will be clearly uncomfortable in the city, “I’d rather stay outside the cities, gold aside, easier to keep moving on our own schedule and we need to keep moving.”
Koda will navigate the cart about half a mile outside the city once a suitable clearing is found. Once camp is set he will start walking toward the city. "Not sure about any of you but I fancy a drink. Anyone is welcome to join me."
Jon hesitates, considering, but nods his head. He leaves most of his equipment, and his armor, with the wagon, but gets ready to go. "I don't feel like I contributed much to the wagon - first round's on me?"
"Remember, if you do the first drinking, you do the last watching..." Nasaar calls after the group heading into town. "If i am stuck here watching the wagon while you are in town drinking, then you best be planning on taking the last watch and letting those who didn't get to go drinking sleep in a bit." The words have a teasing undertone, as if it is something they have joked about a million times. He sets about setting up camp, and going through the things that have become second-nature after the time on the road so far.
"That would be wonderful Jon." Koda puts an arm around his friend and starts walking towards the town. He stops after hearing Nasaar's teasing and turns around. "Nasaar, buddy, we've been over this. You don't want the blind guy keeping watch... especially after all the drink I plan on consuming." Koda continues walking towards the city. "Now jon, what kind of drink are we craving tonight?"
"I will assist with setting camp as well." Griff ties up the horses towards the edge of the camp. Casting Speak with Animals and Create Food and Water he feeds and waters the creatures which have bared their burdens to this point.
"Thank you, again for your hard work today." He scratches one of the horses along the neck. "We appreciate your sacrifice. I know this food is rather bland, but it is nourishing." Looking back towards his companions, "There is plenty of food and water if you'd like some before Calrych returns with game."
Those of you heading into town, roll me a perception or investigation each to find a tavern as you walk through the city gates. The guards give you a long, evaluating look as they let you through. There’s several posters on the wall inside the guard’s station, wanted criminals, banned imports, and forbidden cults.
Those of you staying outside, can I get a perception or a survival check to see if there’s anything nearby you’re aware of. You’ve found a decent campsite in a quiet glen, not heavily used by other travellers, who generally like to rely on the protection of the city’s walls after a long time on the roads - but you’re confident in your skills.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Well Koda," Jon stutters, unused to the charismatic bugbear's embrace, "I think something affordable might be a good place to start. I like a nice dark ale myself, though I''m not sure what the local areas specialize in."
Jon joins Koda in looking for a decent looking tavern.

Zilpip decides to walk the surrounding area looking for any interesting plants. Yuiprt follows 10 feet behind.
