Brodan 4 A small ball of fire forms in your hand. You feel its power diminish for a second, then you feel it become double in power. The magic slightly wavers before the shape of the shape hardens. You throw the bolt of fire at the nearest orc, dealing 15 damage. The orc takes the hit and you see the instantly charred left half of his face. He lets out a growling sound. He is pissed.
Harq You swing your sword at the next orc, the blade neatly cutting into (but not all the way through) the dark green body. The orc falls to the ground, as dead as the one next to him.
Helena You see the orc start to take another swing at you, heaving his axe, and you swipe at his hand with your rapier. You quickly deflect the attack and move back 30ft. You quickly sheath your blade back at your side and retrieve your bow.
((Also, I don’t exactly love the light property restriction to two-handed fighting. Since your main is a rapier and not something like a greataxe and your secondary is a dagger, I’ll let you dual wield with disadvantage on the bonus action. The other rules still apply, so you can’t add your modifier to the dagger.))
Kronk You swing your club with ease, whacking the orc in the head. A crunch is heard before the orc falls to the ground, dazed and with a severe head injury, but not completely gone. He has 0 hitpoints, just didn’t want to make it like the last one.
Lia You shoot at the remaining orc with your crossbow. The bolts audibly whiz by your companions and strike the orc twice in the chest. He falls with a thump and a small wave of sand puffs out from under him.
The first wave is dead and you have 1 round to do whatever you want, in case you want to get into a more advantageous position or something of that sort.
Kronk will pick up the head, shake it above his head along with his maul and roaring in Orcish at the orcs; "I YOUR FACES EAT!" Then he will bite the face off the head and hurl the leftover mess at the gathering wave.
Helena is 30ft away from her original position with her shortbow drawn.
Lia is on top of a building that is 10ft to Helena’s right side.
I assume Harq is about 15ft back, not too far but not too close.
Brodan moves 25ft back, near Helena.
Kronk does not move. He attempts to bite the face off of one of the orcs but accidentally chokes on the piece for a quick moment. ((That may be the most disgusting yet almost comedic sentence I have even thought about writing..)) (13) Kronk tosses the faceless orc corpse about 10ft, but the incoming orcs are more disgusted than afraid, which definitely says something.
The orcs are now about 40ft away from everyone—10ft from Kronk. They dashed forward to close the 100ft distance.
We go back to the top of initiative. It is Brodan’s turn.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Brodan for his turn will move back a bit more and then attempt to hit the nearest one with a Firebolt at the orc closest to him. "Burn ye pig faces bastard!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Brodan You swing your arm forward, and a fireball forms in your hand mid-swing. It flies true and hits one of the orcs in the chest. (2) The bolt of fire seems to leave a mark as it burns into the orc. You deal 13 damage.
Harq (3) You charge forward at the orcs and quickly whisper a few words into your sword, enchanting it with thunderous energy. The magic is not visible, but you can feel its power in your hand. You step forward, swing, flawlessly cutting into the orc and dealing 18 damage. As you step back, you see him raise his axe and you lift up your rapier in such an angle that the axe’s blade slides off of it, giving you the opening you need to get away safely.
((Can you explain in group pm how exactly you got 18 for the damage? Maybe my math is wrong, but I don’t think it should be 18.))
Helena You let loose an arrow at the orc that Brodan had hit, the one next to Kronk. The arrow finds its target in the burn on the orc’s chest, dealing 25 damage. You see it pierce just enough and the arrow is about halfway in the orc’s chest. Blood begins spilling out of the wound before the orc falls on his knees, dead.
Kronk Unlike the rest of your companions, you stand your ground.
((You don’t get an opportunity attack because they aren’t rushing past you. I’ll use those rolls for the second attack of your action surge.))
As you speak, you cough again very loudly. You roar in rage at the orcs charging at you. You swing your maul in what appears to be a wild manner to your companions, but you land each hit knowing where to hurt them most. You quickly slam your maul into each of the orcs once, but one orc is hit a second time. As you do this, you move out of the range of one of the orcs and you see him swinging his greataxe.
Attack: 14 Damage: 9
The axe cuts into your side, not exactly hitting vitals but it hurts nonetheless.
By the end of your brutal assault, you see you have killed two of the orcs, one of which was weakened by Harq while the other gave in to 2 blows to the head.
Lia You shoot your crossbow once and immediately look down to reload. You look back up at the orc you had shot, and you see him go down with about half your crossbow bolt sticking out of his neck.
The orcs of wave 2 are all dead, with one final wave charging forward. There are 3 orcs, one of which is much, much bigger than the others. You can tell that the biggest one is the chief, and the other two are maybe his enforcers/best warriors. They are currently about 15ft away from Kronk, 20ft from Harq, 35ft from Brodan, and 40ft from Helena and Lia.
The orcs see Kronk surrounded by their dead mates and rush Kronk, each of them attacking twice (with advantage due to flanking).
The chief cuts Kronk down with two swift and brutal attacks. The enforcers move on to Harq, without their chief who seems to be making sure Kronk is dead for what he did to the clan’s warriors.
Still not good. The PHB seemed to suggest that it was a straight d20 roll, it's good to know Kronk has some chance here. WHat is his hp at the moment? I have -10?

No, sorry, the 2 is right. No modifiers. There’s no negative hp though. If you take damage while down, you automatically fail one save. If it’s a crit, you fail two saves.

(Assuming that, since the orcs moved to attack, they are all within 30 feet now. they were 40 feet, but had to move 15 to attack the furthest away person from Lia, so that should mean that the leader is 25 feet from Lia.)
Lia casts hex, targetting the leader. She then shoots him twice.
1st shot...
to hit: 17
Damage: 10 and 4 necrotic.
2nd shot...
to hit: 23
Damage: 10 and 1 necrotic.

Brodan is going to Firebolt the orc that is the farthest away from himself, not wanting to try having the spell have a strange side effect again.

Helena is going to stay at range with her shortbow ready. Taking the dodge action if possible.
Lia stays atop the building, adjusting her position a bit if needed to get more comfortable.
Brodan is going to move back as well, looking for a spot where he can snipe with his magic at range. "Damned place is messin with me magic!"
Kronk will pick up the head, shake it above his head along with his maul and roaring in Orcish at the orcs; "I YOUR FACES EAT!" Then he will bite the face off the head and hurl the leftover mess at the gathering wave.

We go back to the top of initiative. It is Brodan’s turn.
When Kronk's turn comes, he will stand his ground, letting the orcs come to him;
Opportunity Attack Attack: 22 Damage: 14
then he will attack twice;
Attack: 12 Damage: 15
Attack: 24 Damage: 13
then use Action Surge
Attack: 16 Damage: 17
Improved Critical #1 10
Improved Critical #2 11
All attacks will target a different orc for a total of 4.
Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
"MORE FACES KRONK TO BRING EATING!" He roars with obvious joyful glee.

Helena will fire off an arrow at the orc closest to Kronk.
Action: Shortbow Attack - 11 Damage - 5
Not sure if sneak attack is applicable but just in case: 11
Lia shoots at the orcs, targetting one with both shots unless it goes down. If it goes down ont he first, then changing targets on the second.
1st to hit: 12
Damage: 9
2nd to hit: 28
Damage: 12
extra crit damage: 8
Harq will stick to his proven strategy, focusing on any target slightly separated, BOOM attack it, and step back.
Attack: 16 Damage: 18 ; additional 5 if it steps towards him

“Enforcer 1” Attack 2: 26 Damage: 19 slashing
The first attack crits, dealing an extra 9 damage.

“Enforcer 2” Attack 1: 12 Damage: 16
“Enforcer 2” Attack 2: 13 Damage: 6
Harq takes a hit from Enforcer 2, which snaps him out of his shock as he quickly and just barely dodges the second swing.
