Wilcox runs up to the man with the lance, slowing down considerably as he gets closer. He shouts to the man,
"Angvald! Stop! Look! I've brought masters from all kinds of places and lands! You don't have to do this!"
The man ignores Wilcox, trained on the Dragon on the other side of the bridge. The beast locks eyes with him, and the heat gets more intense. Wilcox is unable to continue speaking as he collapses to the ground in exhaustion.
Nearby the dragon a portal draws open and a robed bearded man with burning red eyes steps out. Frostbite and Torke immediately recognize him from the tower and bar respectively. The others have not seen him, but he closely resembles the wizard loading the carts before the ship ride and is wearing the colors of the runner in the market.
He approaches the middle of the bridge ahead of the dragon, and shouts towards the lance warrior,
"You have no place here! Be gone!"
He lifts his right hand forward and grips tightly with his left behind his back, and a fierce Lightning Bolt fires out towards his target.
"I will always fight against my enemy. Now that you have saved me I will also fight against your enemy if you require me. But I would assume you would not have any enemy. None alive that is." It feels nice to speak in his native tongue.
(Would FrostBite know what the sign of Leventhix was?)
Landing in the clearing FrostBite drops to his knees and looks up in amazement at the majestic Dragon. "Thank you once more. I am not sure who sent you or if you are doing this of your own free will but Thank you. It is not my time to pass from these lands you have given me a chance to prove my worth." Looking around he is not sure where he is but he follows the dragon towards the running water.
FrostBite steps out of the mist behind the white dragon as the commotion starts. Pulled out of his admiration of the dragon he catches sight of his friends most with weapons drawn looking at the large man heading towards the bridge and Wilcox prone in the water. Still in Draconic, "These are my friends, I am not sure what or who that thing is. Whatever trouble they have gotten into while I was away I don't know but they need my help. I could never command you to help but if you see it fitting to help me once more then I would be most appreciative."As the last words leave his mouth he takes off running toward the others unsheathing his Greataxe.
"I am back. I have things to tell you and it looks like you may need to share also. Are we going to take this thing down?"As he reaches Sam the portal opens up beside the dragon. The first thought is "What now" as the wizard steps out. "Rune Keeper R'lyeh what is this....." but the words are lost to the sound of the Rune Keepers voice and the crash of lightning.
The snakelike tendril cracks in arc over the bridge in under a blink.
At the same speed, the warrior aims and hurls his lance.
It collides with the lightning down the center of the bridge, the tip splitting the arc like a prism in a circle riding the beam back towards the casters hand.
There is an explosion of force and sound, mixed with a horrible screeeeeeech of energy being divided forcefully like millions of bird chicks crying at the same time.
A horrible shriek of agony as the metal splits his arm like a log down the middle and embeds itself in the wood behind Rune Keepers shoulder, impaling him to the bridge and knocking him unconscious.
"FrostBite...what the HELL is going on here??" Sam asks, more than a little confused about what he should be doing. He continuously scans back-and-forth, not sure if he should be drawing his blade or not.
FrostBite looks back at the Wizard impaled into the wood behind him and Wilcox lying prone under the man. With little time left to think the Barbarian looks towards Sam, "I was going to ask you the same thing."He then just starts rushing towards the large man with axe raised. The wizard had helped him when he needed it and if he had understood what the dragon had said may have saved him a second time. Now the Rune Keeper was in trouble for nothing more than protecting the people in his vision.
As FrostBite runs forward spectral humanoids start to appear around him running in step. Each footfall one of them breaks off to take a place beside his fellow combatants, holding its own weapon and watching the action of the Dragonborn. As he passes Wilcox one of them stands defensively over him as another takes up position in front of the Wizard. This happens unknowingly to FrostBite as he continues to draw closer to this massive figure. His eyes turn white, mist trails behind him, and due to the heat radiating off the figure, the ice forming on his scales automatically turns to water, dripping and turning to steam before reaching the walkway of the bridge.
Getting close enough the Dragonborn leaps recklessly at the unarmed warrior with his axe in the air, bringing it to bear as he closes the gap.
(Greataxe w/Reckless and Rage) Attack: 23 Damage: 8
Torke, already having his blade wielded, nods to his companions. While this all seems to be too surreal for him to comprehend, the heat of battle is at hand. He recalls of the robed man faintly from his memory, mostly from the aura he emitted from perhaps only a week or few ago since they begun this journey —but seeing a man of that amount of magic Torke thought to be strong— struck down by a mountainous entity through retaliation, almost sways him to abscond.
But his patron says otherwise. Bound under his pact, there is still an objective to be done, whether pyrrhic or victorious that this encounter will conclude, he cannot leave his objective aside, and perhaps it can only be completed with his companions' aid.
Torke grips the longsword tightly with two-hands, and along with his companions, he wills himself to fight, taking in an alert stance to ease his movements into combat.

Frostbite's swing lands with a thump of heavy weight being evenly distributed across wood.
He caught it.
Angvald caught the ax blade between his two hands and is dropped one knee. It seems to have strained his muscles somewhat, but not enough to prevent him from redirecting with a push into the ground, and lifting into the air for an uppercut to Frostbite's jaw.
No matter the outcome of his assasult, its enough for him to get to his feet, and dart towards his lance.

The dragon reels back, flapping its gargantuan wings at the bridge causing a massive Gust!!

Angvald Gust Saving Throw: 15
Angvald's dash is cut in half as the wind pushes him back!
FrostBite is shocked when his Greataxe is caught in mid-air. But that shock is short-lived as he takes a hit to the chin.
Reeling from the blow he watches as the huge man runs away. Getting up he takes chase managing to resist the air trying to push him back closing the gap and taking another swing with his Greataxe.
(Greataxe w/ Reckless and Rage) Attack: 19 Damage: 9
(Is the damage I took halved already due to my Rage. You had and currently have the advantage to hit FrostBite due to Reckless. Angvald has the disadvantage to hit anyone else and if you hit damage is halved due to the Ancestors standing guard. Not sure how far he can move so I can change my weapon to my Javlen if I can not get to him. Same to hit just different damage. Also is there an attack of Opportunity for him running from me to start with or did he disengage?)
Yes the damage is halved, He can move 40 in a dash, yes you have an attack of opportunity.
He went 40 up from 0. From where he was, you were already at the 5, and you can move 30 and have 5 reach. Not only that, he was pushed by the Wind and you were not, sending him 20 back.
Take an attack of opportunity for your melee if you dash Or Javelin strike if you dont,
and then go ahead and take a bonus action\reaction attack to him being thrown back towards you by the gust
depending on whether you dashed do another melee or if you didn't you may throw a second javelin.
All good. If he made it to 40 then pushed 20 either way on my turn (Gust already taken effect) I wouldn't need to dash as I can get to 35 or 15 with my 30 feet.
I will leave my current Greataxe attack and just roll for my AOO. Thanks, Sorry for all the extra info and questions.
(AOO Greataxe w/ Reckless and Rage) Attack: 20 Damage: 12
Torke tries to steel his movement from the dragon's wings casting a similar effect to a Gust...
Strength Saving Throw: roll value- 17
He uses the weight of his longsword to keep himself steady, performing a weighted cutting motion while giving his body's strength into the hilt, allowing Torke not to be pushed back as far as the intended effect.
Movement: Torke takes himself forward 25 feet before ushering himself 5 feet to the side, atleast a feet away from Sam's position as he is presumed to be thrown back.
Action(Readied Action): Still unsure of which side their party is in, Torke decides to keep an alert eye around both the dragon and the olympic lance thrower(otherwise known as mountain man), positioning his wielded longsword to point toward either one, waiting for a window of an opportunity to attack if either of them take action against their companions, as he readies a holding of the arcane energy that would otherwise make an Eldritch Blast. (Holding my action to attack either the Dragon or Angvald if they take any actions to attack the party, which includes Mr. Wilcox for his benefit)
