OK, the party continues on!

The rest of the day passes uneventfully and camp is setup as the sun starts to set.

Everyone make a Survival check at Disadvantage for the days foraging.

Then those on 1st, 2nd and 3rd watch roll Perception checks.

So we've got Umbriel, Lyngheid and Baeshra taking the watches?

Ireniana Survival: 13

 Plenty of wild berries and a few nuts.

The first watch passes.  Umbriel hands the watch over to Lyngheid.

 Midnight comes and goes.  

Suddenly, Lyngheid is startled to hear Owlbear jump up on his hind legs and roar/chirp then sniff the air, his nose as high as he can get it.

Two large Owlbears appear out of the darkness, about 20 feet away.  They roar/chirp back and look confused.

 The party is woken by the chirps and roars.  Everyone except Lyngheid is still lying on the ground.  Does anyone do anything?

Umbriel stays exactly where he is, mentally focused on being one with the shadows. If one comes over and sniffs at him, he'll stay put. If one is about to make a strike, he'll teleport away if he can. 

Baeshra moves up to a crouch, and quickly casts speak with animals to try and figure out what's going on before doing anything else.

Lyngheid very quietly wakes up Whistler and Baeshra, thinking they can probably help the most.

Lyngheid, when you move to Whistler and Baeshra, one of the owlbears swivels it's head and locks onto you, preparing to charge.

Baeshra, you cast your spell, what do you say?

At the moment, listening, if they don't say anything he'll speak up, "Greeting strong of feather and beak, have you come to join our pack?"

Ireniana stays where she is and will listen to Baeshra speak to the animals.

 Both owlbears and Owlbear swivel their heads over to you.

The largest of the new owlbears chirps and growls, you hear "We eat.  You food?"

Whistler rubs his eyes, it's Christmas!

Baeshra shakes his head, "We are food like the poison berries. Possible, but deadly. If you want food, you should hunt elsewhere, we will move our pack along."

The other owlbear grunts and chirps: "We take little cublet with us!"  And it goes goes over to Owlbear and sniffs him.  "Come.  We go."

Owlbear looks at Whistler.

Baeshra turns to the young owlbear, "Do you want to return with them? Hunt as a member of their pack?"

Nyx stays still and tries to decipher the odd exchange.
