Morning comes on the 27th of Flamerule, and everyone has a much better night's sleep than last night.  It's been 10 days since enchanting items at the Forge, and all of the enchantments have worn off.

Ireniana shook her head. "I don't recall Zhentarim." 

Umbriel looks concerned for a moment. "I must admit, I'm not well versed in the idea of these disparate factions - but we have plenty to do in the meantime. Let's go buy a replacement mule or packhorse, and go visit this Agatha, if no one has any objections?"

Ireniana is going to draw runes on her sword and shield. "I'm good to visit Agatha." 

Baeshra cocks his head at the others, "What is a zhentarim?"

" Slavers. At least the ones my folks ran into were."

"That and more. Maybe it is for the best that we don't do any tasks for them. So let's finish this shop and head to meet a banshee. Now this will be a tale to tell."

Lyngheid pays 10 Gold for the mule, and she is assured it kick when attacked!

The party hooks up the new mule to their cart, and reloads all of their equipment, about ready to set off. 

Suddenly the peacefulness of the morning is shattered by the screams of women and children, followed by a main yelling "GIANTS!!  RUN!!!". 

Perplexed residents and shopkeepers emerge from their domiciles in time to see a large rock fall from the sky and crash onto an old cart, splintering it. As a cloud of dust erupts from the wreckage, a second rock hits the ground, tumbles through a fence, and slams against the wall of Ransor's Open road, destroying the old building., startling a pair of mules tethered to a post nearby. All around you, people begin to shriek and scatter.

And you see, about 300 feet away two large Fire Giants hurling boulders and stomping through town.  They are accompanied by orogs, orcs on axe beaks and magmins!

Welcome to Storm Kings Thunder!  Everyone roll initiative and make your first round move if higher than the giants Initiative: 11.
