You can see that the moving chain noises are coming from a series of steel buckets suspended from a horizontal chain. The chain is moving west to east through the room, with buckets spaced every 25 feet or so. Kind of like a chair lift.
Another Fire Thing is standing guard in the middle of the room, watching over four dwarves as they shovel ore out of a mining cart and into the buckets.

You see Umbriel disappear, but can't figure out where he is after that. From about 50 feet back from the edge of the tunnel you don't notice anything else.
Umbriel casts Message to communicate with Lyngheid, and his Invisibility drops. Luckily he is hiding behind the heavy wooden beams that form the stops for the mining carts and remains hidden...Until he pops up and launches a pair of Eldritch Blasts at the Salamander.
Umbriel Initiative: 11. Salamander Initiative: 12. (Due to a few prior events, the Salamander is not surprised).
The salamander acts first, but still doesn't know Umbriel is there until Umbriel's turn, so the Eldritch Blasts go off, one of them lands and Umbriel hightails it back up the tunnel.
The salamander wiggles after Umbriel his full movement speed which gets him to the mouth of the tunnel and then hurls his spear at the back of the fleeing Shadar-kai: 10. And the spear skims along the rocky side of the tunnel, missing Umbriel by quite a bit.
Umbriel is up for round 2, 20 feet away from the rest of the party. Everyone else roll initiative and take your 1st round turn, then 2nd round turn if higher than the Salamander's initiative.
Nyx does her best to flatten herself against the corridor between and light source.
OCC R1: Stealth 14
OCC R2: Nyx will hold an action to shoot with her hand crossbow when the fire snake makes it within 30 feet. If the critter flees, can she fire even if it's not within 30 feet?

Umbriel launches two more Eldritch Blasts, both hit, and then hightails it back to the party. The Salamander squirms after, this time using his action to Dash and gets within 10 feet of Baeshra and Whistler in the lead, sees them and Ireniana, wheels around and makes it 10 feet away before it is out of movement.
Nyx and Ireniana, your held shots go off, make your attack rolls, Nyx with advantage because you are hiding.

He then casts Eldritch Blast and then turns and runs back to the group as fast as he can.
