Our heroes plunge further into the goblin's lair, looking for revenge and answers. Your path is lit by your torches, and Sildar follows close behind. The path runs steeply upward, leading up to the bridge. As you advance, you hear fast goblin footsteps ahead of you. You round the corner and cross the bridge without incident. On the other side of the bridge, a cavern is half filled with a large pool of water. A narrow waterfall high in the eastern wall feeds the pool, which drains out the western end of the chamber to form the stream that flows out of the cave mouth below. Low fieldstone walls serve as dams holding the water in. One row of the walls has been recently destroyed. A wide exit stands to the south, while a smaller passage follows the stream back to the cave entrance. The sound of the waterfall echoes through the cavern, making it difficult to hear.
Four goblins stand in the cavern, blades drawn and ready to fight!

(Congratulations! For clearing out the goblin hideout, you all gain 275 XP! You may immediately increase your character to level 2!)
Doc slays the last goblin. You are now alone in the caves as the waterfall thunders on behind you. Moving through the wide southern exit, you come to another part of the cave. Sacks and crates of looted provisions are piled up in the south end of this large cave. Most of them are marked with the image of a blue lion. To the west, the floor slopes toward a narrow opening that descends into darkness. If you look down, you see that the gap leads to the treacherous slope in the wolves' den. In the middle of the cavern, the coals of a large fire smolder. This must have been Klarg's lair.
Sildar sits down on one of the crates and says "Well, looks like we got all of the goblins in here. And it looks like the damn raiders got their hands on a wagonload of Lionshield Coster deliveries. I bet you'd make some friends if you delivered this stuff to Orlane. Speaking of, what do y'all plan to do now? I'll probably keep on to Orlane. I have my own reasons for going there, besides keeping Gundren company. Some people I work with sent a wizard by the name of Iarno Albrek there about two months ago, and he hasn't been heard of since. If y'all are willing to help me get to Orlane, I'm sure I could find a way to compensate you. Say, 50 gold?"
Standing out from the rest of the pillaged supplies because of its battered condition and lack of lion symbol is a wooden chest. When someone opens it, you find it full of coins and some other baubles. In total there are 600 copper pieces and 110 silver pieces. You also find a jade statuette of a frog with tiny golden orbs for eyes and two small ceramic jars with a red paste inside. When Sildar sees the paste, he says "That's a lucky find! That stuff is useful in a pinch, it can get you right back on your feet even after you're down!" (potion of healing).

"That sounds fine, Sildar. We're still delivering Gundren's goods to Orlane regardless as we don't have any clues as to Gundren's whereabouts beyond the name of where he was taken. Perhaps once we reach town we can recuperate and search for more answers."
Doc says, adjusting his glasses as he methodically cleans the goblin blood from his blades.

Big Bear sets to work, moving the supplies marked with the blue shield towards the front of the cave. "Hey Yed, Shamash. Give me a hand with some of the heavier boxes? I'll bring our cart back from it's hiding place and we can load these on to take to Phandelin."Big Bear will bring the cart and oxen back to the cave mouth.
Having cleared out the caves, the group decides to move on. Between the six of you, it only takes two trips to load the Lionshield supplies on to the wagon, and you're under way again in a little more than an hour.
It's early evening when you arrive at your destination. The rutted track emerges from a wooded hillside, and you catch your first glimpse of Orlane. The town consists of forty or fifty simple log buildings, some built on old fieldstone foundations. More old ruins—crumbling stone walls covered in ivy and briars—surround the newer houses and shops, showing how this must have been a much larger town in centuries past. Most of the newer buildings are set on the sides of the cart track, which widens into a muddy main street of sorts as it climbs toward a ruined manor house on a hillside at the east side of town.
As you approach, you see children playing on the town green and townsfolk tending to chores or running errands at shops. Many people look up as you approach, but all return to their business as you go by.
Sildar seems much more at ease. “Friends,” he says, “I'm sure you're eager to deliver the wagon to Barthen's Provisons, and Lionshield Coster will be very happy indeed to see their supplies again. Then let's secure lodgings. I’m told the local inn is very quaint.”
