'We appreciate ir, but I guess it's better for us to get going. That thing went away for now, but if it come back with a big brother or a parent..." Lothliénshivers
"Agreed, it would be best to load up the cart and get you to town" Rhok adds alongside Lothlién
Once Lady Adabra's things are loaded up and we begin our trek back to town, Rhok would use a spell slot and use primeval awareness to detect any aberrations, celestials, dragons, elementals, fey, fiends, or undead are present within 1 mile of you (or within up to 6 miles if you are in your favored terrain), this would be in affect for a minute, so I'd want to do cast it just after we get underway in relation to where the White Dragon attacked
"Let us get you to town." Lia says with a shake of her head. "This windmill would be torn apart by that dragon and us all its meal if we tried to hole up in it." She nods to the wagon. "Let's pack up quickly and get to town before the thing does return." She would aid in the loading of the wagon to hurry things along. Her familiar would fly above, keeping an eye out for the dragon.
Adabra looks at you with amazement "you managed to scare away a dragon??" She quicly points you to the bags and few crates she wants to carry. Between all of you loading them in the cart only takes a few minutes.
By the time you are finished and start moving, Rhok's ranger senses can't pick up the presence of any dragon. Lia's owl reluctantly flies up and scouts, confirming no flying monsters nearby.
The treck back to Phandalin is uneventful, but tense. As you arrive Adabra points to an empty house she had used before, you help her unpack and leave her to settle in. Barthen is most grateful seening that Vincent came back unharmed and impressed that you had to fight the dragon so close to town.
"So, we off to those mines then, and then to the orcs?" Lia asks the others, wanting to get moving, still more than a bit figity after the dragon incident. She keeps looking at the sky, and has her owl continue circles overhead as it also keeps an eye out.
"I could use some time. I spent great part of my power (OOC: all my 2nd level spells) on that thing, and my skin still feels cold..." Lohlién says, worried that he may be too weak for another important battle
"Perfect! We did mention about coming back to Phandalin after each trip or so. I suppose this allows us to make sure we're at full strength when we head back out. I'm basically tapped out as well in the few spells I've learned" Rhok says in agreement
You walk to the Stonehill Inn, where Toblen is preparing lunch and serving a few customers. "Just a second, I'll be right with you" he says as he motions to an empty table. Soon he's back with warm bread and plates "we have steamed potatoes and roasted rabbit today" he takes a closer look at you and notices the bruises from the fight "what happened to you? I thought lady Adabra was in good terms with your group!"
OOC: here is the quest notice again so you don't have to go back to find it, the mines are 15 miles northeast (about half a day's travel), following the hills.
The Mountain’s Toe Gold Mine lies fifteen miles northeast of Phandalin. The new overseer, Don-Jon Raskin, just made the trip from Neverwinter to Phandalin and needs to be escorted to the mine. There’s no telling what dangers lie between here and there. Once you deliver Raskin safe and sound, return to Townmaster Harbin Wester to collect a reward of 100 gp.
"No she is." Lia says with a shake of her head, silvery-white hair rustling with the motion. "We ended up facing off with that white dragon though on our way there."
"Lia here did an amazing job mesmerizing the dragon. We shot spells, arrows and bolts, but just a single one hit the target.. It was enough to make it go look for food somewhere else, but not before he used his icy breath on us." Lothliénadds, dramatically
After having some meal, he'd go to Harbin to let him know that Adabra is safe in the town.
"Speaking of which, I need to replace the two bolts I shot, although perhaps some day I can retrieve the one that stuck in the things hind end. Lia got a nice hit on it too." Rhok adds in
Barthen's face show that he's impressed "in that case this lunch is on me, you have earned it." After serving other patrons he comes back to your table with a new round of beer and sits to hear more details about the encounter.
Lunch finished, Lothlién (and whoever is tagging along) informs townmaster Harbin about the recent events. Hearing that the dragon was spotted so close to town, he refuses to open his door and urges you to slay the beast. He is slightly relieved knowing that lady Adabra is back in town. You tell him that you plan to go to the mines first, he takes some time to gather his toughts and describes Don-Jon Raskin to you "he's not from this parts and speaks with a noticeable foreign accent. He said that he would stay at the Stonehill Inn until the promised escort is ready for him."
Rhok stops by the Lionshield Coster to purchase extra bolts.
Lia would stay at the inn, having a few extra ales after the encounter with the dragon. She might be a wee bit tipsy by the time they call it a night and go to bed.
Back to Stonehill Inn, Lothlién asks Barthen about Don-Jon, so they can arrange the trip. He proposes to leave by sunrise.
Barthen points you to a man sitting next to a window "there he is." Raskin is a tall, dark skinned, white bearded man. He wears a wide hat adorned with teeth from different beasts (Rhok recognizes a set of boar tusks among them) and a necklace with a single oversized fang.
His attitude is relaxed. He's cleaning his fingernails with a hunting knife, while contemplating a map. Hearing that you are offering to escort him to the mines, he smiles "well nice meeting ya, grab a chair and have a coldie with me!"
Lothlién sits, glad that he's not escorting some grumpy figure. "I don't want to sound harsh, but business first, right? We plan to leave tomorrow as soon as we can see the sun, if you have no problem with that." He tries to keep a friendly tone while talking. After the business are set, he'll chat about anything else. "So, overseer, huh? How do you get a job like that?" is Lothlién's way to start a more relaxed conversation
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Xarrothgives the man wave, but remains relatively quiet; trying to gauge whether Raskin's attitude is earned through experience or a veil to hide motives...
Insight Check: 13
... regardless what he finds, the dragonborn does indeed sit down and have a drink with the man.

"I believe so, do we need to take a rest before we head on the road? That breath weapon looked nasty" Rhok asks

"Then lets take a day here to rest." Lia agrees, having no issues letting her companions rest up.

Rhok eventually makes his way back to the Inn, and has a few ales with Lia, commending her on her quick thinking that likely saved the group.
He agrees that the earlier they can head out, the better their chances would be to get to both spots in the same day
