Cinta As the man bumps into you, your top crate briefly catches air. It slams back down on the bottom crate with minimal to no damage to anything. The man, without even looking at you, quickly says, “Sorry, I have somewhere I need to be right now.” The links of his chainmail armor clink together as he walks away at a slightly fast pace. As he leaves, you see on his back a shield with the blade of a longsword and at his sides a couple of hand axes. Caden looks at you, impressed. “Nicely done. But we should keep going.” He signals you to follow before approaching a slightly older man selling fruits. To the vendor, he says, “Just brought in a crate of fresh apples from my father’s farm.” He briefly looks at you and the crates in your hand. “Among other things.” The man glances at you, then turns his attention to the crates in Caden’s hands. He picks out an apple and inspects it for a moment before smiling. “How much?” Without skipping a beat, Caden responds “10 silver per crate.”
The conversation and haggling between Caden and the vendor fades into the background as you stand there. You put the crates down to rest while you wait. Eventually, you see the vendor give Caden a pouch of gold and empty the crates of apples in front of him, ready to sell. Caden walks back to the wagon, and as he moves by you, he says, “Stay here, I’ll get the rest.” You see Caden disappear behind one of the building you passed when you entered the plaza.
As he leaves, something else grabs your attention. You see a tall lanky robot walking around the plaza. The metal and the gears seem really dirty and rusty but they still function properly. He catches you looking at him and approaches you. “Hello. What is your name?”

There was a passage of 3 or four seconds while she processed what was happening, " Cinta. What is your name?", she almost added a 'Herr' on the end but she was not sure even what she was speaking with.
The robot you now know as Doty nods. “Understandable. I’m not exactly...a living species like you. I was created by my friend, Tary. Most people around here know him as Taryon Darrington. He..was in a meeting with someone, but he should be done. He’ll be here soon if you want to ask him more.”
Doty tilts his head, still looking at you. Though his facial expression is unable to change, you can tell that the robot is confused. “Your kind is human. Tary is also human. Why would he not like to speak to you?”

" I am....not from here. I am from the " enemy lands". Also, he is...used to be?...a noble, I am an indentured servant. I am too low-born to speak with such a person."
Doty shakes his head. “Not nobility.”He looks back to the crowd in the plaza and points to someone.“There he is now. I’ll bring him to you and you will understand.” He goes off and disappears into the crowd. You look back to where Caden was and you see him carrying three more crates. Without saying a word or even looking at you, he passes by and goes to another vendor about 15ft away. You can’t exactly hear their conversation. When you turn back to the crowd, you see a tall metallic head pop out from the top. The rest of the body emerges from the crowd, with an old man at his side. “This is Taryon. Tary, this is...Cinta.”
Taryon chuckles for a moment. “Well, this is proof that I finally made a friendly Doty. Did he disturb you too much, Miss Cinta?”

Cinta found it hard to take her eyes off Caden in case he signalled for her but she did her best to execute a curtsy, " Not at all, Herr Darrington. He is most pleasant company."
In embarrassment, Taryon puts his hands forward and shakes them, saying “No, no, no. You’ve done nothing wrong. No need to apologize. Hmm...” He strokes his chin for a few seconds. You hear him mutter “Xhorhas” so quietly even Doty doesn’t notice. “My friend here says you are an indentured servant? Where is your master?”

Cinta allowed herself a brief smile, she didn't take her eyes off Taryon but with a hidden hand indicated Caden some distance behind her.
Taryon looks to the much taller Doty and says, “Will you stay with her a moment?” He goes off to talk to Caden and, with a glance, you can see Taryon turn his head back to you for an instant.
Watching Taryon and Caden talking, you see the old man accidentally drop a pouch, which opens just enough for you to see the shining gold in it. Taryon quickly picks it up and hands it to Caden. After a moment, he returns to you. “Your master has agreed to let me free you of whatever debt you have for some gold. Laws against indenture and slavery unfortunately aren’t enforced in farmlands like his.” He quickly scans your dress. “Is that traditional attire where you come from?”

Cinta burst into tears and grabbed hold of Taryons jacket without thinking, " Thankyou...how can I ever repay you?"
She looked down at her clothes, " Some of it....some is just making do with what I could find."
Cinta had never seen such generosity before, certainly not in Rosohna and not here in Deastok either, she fell to weeping.
Without thinking she put her hand up to Taryon and a delicate tracery of honeysuckle wound itself about his arm blossoming into white fragrant flowers....
“Would you like to go for a change of clothes? Maybe not fancy but something that wouldn’t make you stand out too much. Imperial citizens aren’t always too fond of outsiders.”

" You would buy me clothes?", her face almost splits in half so wide is her smile.
" I think a leather jerkin and a heavy woolen skirt would suffice......I do not know how I will ever repay such kindness, though."
As she moved beside Taryon she did not even look back at Caden

The robot replies “My name is Doty.” He looks around you, clearly searching for something. “You’re not a vendor. What are you doing here?”
Cinta kept scanning the area for Caden, " I am a...worker..on a farm, we were delivering produce."
" Who....are you, Doty? I've never seen your kind before."
The robot you now know as Doty nods. “Understandable. I’m not exactly...a living species like you. I was created by my friend, Tary. Most people around here know him as Taryon Darrington. He..was in a meeting with someone, but he should be done. He’ll be here soon if you want to ask him more.”
Caden has not returned yet.
" Darrington? I know that name....my master will return soon...."
" Thankyou, Doty. But I don't think the likes of your friend would like to speak with my kind."
She looked around worriedly, " I should go..."
Doty tilts his head, still looking at you. Though his facial expression is unable to change, you can tell that the robot is confused. “Your kind is human. Tary is also human. Why would he not like to speak to you?”

Taryon raises a brow when you speak. “That accent..where are you from?”
Cinta looked down at the ground, " Xhorhas, Herr. I am sorry I have said your words wrong."
In embarrassment, Taryon puts his hands forward and shakes them, saying “No, no, no. You’ve done nothing wrong. No need to apologize. Hmm...” He strokes his chin for a few seconds.
