Yuno thinks surprisingly long and hard about the situation: Of whether or not she wants to go. In the end, she says, "You... guys go ahead... Someone should stay back... to defend the castle."
Leto leans back in his char with his drink and looks to Morgan saying to the group, "We'll stay back as well. I'm sure you all can provide more than enough help to those poor sailors."
Leareth "I am Oddroin." The black says eyeing you for a long moment. "Maps and such can be had, easily enough..." He glances around the tavern, then back to you. "I assume that, as you know of me, you know what I am. If so, then I also assume that this trip you have in mind is likely to have a good deal of treasure involved in it, as you would know that I wouldn't stir myself for a few meezly coppers." Rising to his feet he shrugs. "I think I need to learn more of this business you are wishing to do with me, but, as you do not seem to wish to speak of it here, we should likely move to a more agreeable location for the discussion." He starts towards the door. "You mentioned meeting you outside the city before. Do you wish to go there, or shall we find a place inside the city to speak more plainly?"
"Come, I'll buy us a map and then we'll go meet up with my companion." Leareth turned and walked out of the tavern. "I've never been here before, can you tell me where to find a cartographer shop?" After getting the directions, he led the way to the shop.
You leave the Yawning Portal, and travel a couple blocks to a map shop. You are able to find a map of the region, including a map of the larger region that includes the path to the far south. looking at the map you would think the sense you feel likely is as far south as the desert kingdom of climpart. As you exit the map shop you sense 2 dragons approaching. An Amber and an Amethyst. Looking towards them you would notice Maril walking with the dragons as they approach yu.
Maril
Following your sense of the black dragon, you locate it near a map shop int eh Castle Ward of Waterdeep. You walk up as the black dragon,in humanoid form, walks out of the map shop with Leareth.
Honor is able to stabalize Emmy's flight with a quick use of a spell. Chysen swoops down after the floundering Kierro, catching his master well before the swelling waves below. Naivara has the easiest time of it, as Palvin seems made for this, easily navigating the torential winds and slashing rain.
How do you approach the ship? Kierro, you are currently riding Chysen, if you wish to attempt to fly on your own again, you can make another athletics check.
(Three figures approach Leareth and the black dragon, a very tall woman, flanked by a human-looking woman in armor and an human woodsman-type man, that Leareth would recognize as dragons in humanoid form)
Maril cuts an intimidating figure- a 7 1/2 foot tall beautiful red haired woman with a fey look about her, clad in shimmering violet scale mail, a purple cloak, and carrying a shield and a long ebony staff carved with dragons. An ornate curved dagger and a wooden club shaped like a dragon’s clawed hand hang from her belt. She walks with exceptional grace and while clearly confident, she also seems friendly, smiling at passerby and children.
While in the city, she carries a black leather pack that appears to be made of black dragon skin.
By Maril’s side walks an attractive brunette human with violet eyes wearing a fine purple cloak over plate armor, with a long sword at one hip.
A human-looking male is on the other side-He wears forest garb, studded leather, and has a bow over one shoulder. A rapier hangs from his hip. .
The tall woman, who you would recognize as a Firbolg, approaches cautiously, but smiles and says in Draconic ” Leareth, isn’t it? I might have known. It’s Maril. These are my friends Ulroth and Ethiem. I suspect you and I have similar objectives? Heading south, perhaps? I sensed a chromium outside the city earlier. Perhaps we can travel together. I have no wish to cause a scene, and our interests are aligned for now, I’m sure?”
She gives a charming smile and tosses her hair a bit. She even smiles and nods at the black dragon. Her motions indicate the female with her is named Ulroth, an amethyst dragon, and Ethiem is an Amber. Both dragons seem ready for a fight if it’s needed, with Ethiem in particular sizing up the black dragon.
Kierro struggles to keep stable in the air, and free-falls for a few moments before Chysen catches him. He appears panicked and gasping for breath.
"ahh... oh goodness. Thank you, Chysen. That was careless of me - I'm not as used to flying as I thought, it seems."
Riding Chysen for now, the two circle the ship from a safe distance, surveying the extent of the damage and whether anyone is on the top deck. Kierro flashes a light to get the attention of anyone that he sees.
Kyrian cocks his head? "Rooms? Yeah we have those. Fraty sometimes takes the doors though, so you may have to relocate a few times. Pick anything that is free."

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
Kierro, Honor, and Naivara The warship seems to be in surprisingly good condition. Forms scrabble over its deck, working to keep the ship turned into the swells. Ores churn in the water, pushing the ship onward, likely working to keep the ship moving, and, hopefully, get out of this accursed storm. little do they know that the storm is simply massive, literally covering hundreds and hundreds of miles of the Sea of Swords.
With the dark clouds, the torrents of rain, and the smashing winds, the ship crew do not see the dragons, not until you are all much closer. Even Kierro's flashing light doesn't get their attention, as lightning is flashing all over, and the light is just too little to compare to that.
Using those flashes of lightning, you are able to approach close enough to see the ships yourself. There is some damage, but the ship seems well-built, and the crew skilled.
Once the dragons are spotted, the reaction is instant. While some of the crew continue to keep the ship on track, other figures can be seen readying the ship for battle. A low horn is sounded, sounding small against the nearly constant roll of thunder.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kierro sighs. "Two... maybe three, Naivara. It slipped my mind with the potential ship full of people in need of help. Speaking of, it seems relatively intact and in working order, but we should still ask if they need any sort of assistance."
When he sees the ship readying for battle, he signals for Chysen to stop his approach, then turns to the others. "I'm going to ask them to stand down."
He casts guidance, then thaumaturgy, amplifying his voice as much as possible to be heard over the waves, and shouts: "Please hold your fire! We wanted to know if you needed any assistance due to the storm. We come in peace and are not seeking a battle."
Kierro would see a figure on the aft deck, near the ship's wheel, turn and appear to be speaking to her crew. A few figures scuttle around and you see a white flag run up the bare main mast. They have all of their sails down, to keep the ship in one piece. The warriors aboard ship lower weapons, but stay alert. Kierro would recognize the white flag as a flag of parly. Clearly they heard him and are willing to speak with him, though they appear wary of ill-intent.
