As Tessa dons the gauntlets, she feels that some part of her, a part she didn't even realize was missing, falls into place. As she revels in this surge of being made a little part whole; a memory flashes to mind. She is youngling, only 3 or 4 summers old. She has a sweet piece of sugar candy in her mouth. She hears a cry behind her, she turns to look down at a halfling maiden of possibly 10 summers. The maiden has a look of horror on her face. She looks from Tessa's face to the body of a halfling lad of 5 or 6 summers lying on the floor in a heap. The lad is beaten and bloody. His face a mess of blood with closed blackening eyes, split lips, and his small nose smashed flush to his face. Tessa smiles at the maiden around her candy, as she holds out a bag of candy to the maiden, "Look Flora. Candy. My candy." Tessa shakes as the powerful memory runs through her mind unbidden. She can remember the sweet taste of the raspberry candy on her lips.
Her odd reverly completed for now. Tessa quickly looks about the cottage seeking anything that can be used as an implement to defend herself. She also takes the time to better examine the bracers that called to her through the fog of whatever brought her to this place. She can only remember darkness prior to seeing the ruined village admist the forest.

The bracers are magical, you can tell that much. They make you feel stronger, but other than that you don't know much about them. In the cottage you can tell it is that of a family with a single child and two adults. You can easily find a few items of clothing, and a pair of spare children's boots. You can find a kitchen knife, dagger, you can take as a weapon. You seem distracted though so don't look around as carefully as you normally would have, so find nothing else.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Despite reading the man as a competent warrior and a threat, she judges her more confrontational line of questioning will go better if it comes from a position of strength. She approaches the man, letting the robe slip and continuing to smile the icy smile, and when in close enough she pretends to stumble, then quickly draws the rapier - if possible - and levels it at his throat.
Not sure what rolls you want, but here is my best guess:
Deception: 22
Slight of Hand (Dex check): 13
She hopes that by allowing the robe to drop he will be off guard, possibly at a Disadvantage for any actions to resist.
"Yes," Naivara says, "did he mention where he got all his gear, because I woke up without any of mine."
"Woke up without your gear?" The guard asks with a frown. "Well, we are asking Tul where he got his stuff, but he rarely tells us the truth." She frowns at you now. "If you were robbed, then I can return and take a statement, but, unless you saw who did it, I can't help you much. I assume none of your other gear is with what we took off of Tul..." She nods to the counter.
You move back to the room you had first been in, and looked to the hole in the wall. It would be a bit of a scrabble over the rubble, but shouldn’t be hard to get out of that hole. You set to it and were soon standing out in the light of day, looking around at a small village. It was made of very new buildings, surrounded by an ancient set of ruins, little more than foundations and a few crumbling walls.
Forgot to mention this, but there were 3 sets of wizard robes in that chest, along with stockings and a pair of boots. You can add all to your equipment, or whatever you would have brought with you. Are you bringing the chest, which is clearly magical?
If she can lift that chest and get it through the hole in the wall - yes, Vilana takes everything, chest included. If not - she will dress completely and pack the rest of the clothes with her (make the smallest tightest possible pack from it), while hiding the chest under the rocks and covering her footsteps with dust.
At any rate, she would clean her up and go to the village.
You know that it would be hard to carry the chest out of here. Instead you hide it as best as you can, then cover your tracks as you make your way to the first chamber you were in. Rest is as stated before. As you stand outside the hole give me a perception check.
From the hole next to you you hear a voice call from the hole you just climbed out of. "Pst woman..."

The man gapes at what is revealed as the cloak gapes open and is caught flat-footed as you tug his rapier free and aim it at his throat. give me an imtimidation check to see if you have him cowed or not...
"Probably not, besides the quiver,"Naivara says, "I'm missing a bow and armor though... I think... I woke up in the middle of Barthan's provisions with no memory of how I got there," she admits. "Thank you for your time, and help." She collects her quiver and wishes the guard well.
Tessa grabs the knife and thrusts it within her belt, mindful of not cutting her new found attire. She emerges from the cottage and boldly walks about town. Her confidence having been bolstered by the addition of clothing and a weapon.
Her mind replays the memory over and over again in her head. It leaves her desiring raspberries. She heads for what must pass as the town square or market area to see what is in store for her. The how and why of her present situation are briefly forgotten now that she has a goal in mind.
She hums a tune under her breath as she walks. She is enjoying the sunshine on her face. She thinks to herself, it's shaping up to be a glorious day. The horror of her memory clearly no longer troubling her on such a fine day.

Where do you go from here? You step outside and find the inn across the road, with a small shrine you can see next to it.
Naivara looks both to the shrine, then to the inn, choosing to go back down the street to the Lionshield Coaster Barthan's pointed out, hoping they might be able to find some work there to help pay off her debts. As she goes there, she starts to braid her hair back, tired of it hanging loose around her shoulders.

"Alright, Walter," Mylene says in an almost sing-song voice. "Perhaps it's time to discuss those bracers, yes? They don't belong to you, now do they? How did you get my bracers? And what, exactly, did you do to me? Or are you just some opportunistic hillbilly who happened upon what seemed an easy bit of robbery? You still may have answers to questions I have, so do please politely provide the answers, and prove how valuable you can be to me alive so that you stay that way. "
"I will, I promise." Kierro says, smiling. He bows. "And thank you, once more, for your generosity, Daran."
He gets himself clothed and armored, then stands once more. "Could you point me in the direction of the nearest town or village?" he asks the half-elf. He isn't sure what he'll do or find there, but it will no doubt help to reorient himself.
Honor puts on the tunic at once. She considers bundling up the armor and carrying it, or shoving it into the backpack, but a little voice in the back of her head immediately starts to nag at her. She sighs mentally, still trying to put on a polite face for the store owner, and gives up on chasing after that strange feeling from earlier. "My thanks again,"she says instead as she begins to put on the gambeson. "My name's Honor. Only professionally appropriate." She 'adjusts' the fastenings at the bust and throws a wink.
She takes the list of supplies from LInene and continues putting on the armor. "Of course. And the crew who were working the caravan? Where could I go to find information about them, or the path they might have taken?"
"The crew is out of Neverwinter, so not sure that helps you any." The woman says with a shrug. "They take the High Road from Neverwinter, then Triboar Trail here to Phandalin. it is the only real path available for the wagons."
The sense of the thing calling you is still there, like a beacon tugging you towards it.

You come out of the cottage and soon find yourself on a road that leads to the main street of town. As you reach that street you see a small shrine next to a larger building that designates itself The Stone Hill Inn. Across from the inn you see the Town Hall.
Tessa sees the shrine and moves past it. She has no desire to commune with the gods, just as she is certain they do not desire to commune with her. The comings and goings of a small town official interest her not at all. But an inn, now an inn would surely have some ale and possibly some raspberries.

"A feisty one then." Walter says, though he glances at the rapier with a bit of alarm. His eyes jerk around, trying to see if anyone is around to aid him. "The bracers?" He asks, holding up his arms to show them off. "I've had these for years, what business are they of yours?" He looks confused at the thought that he had taken them from you. "I never laid eyes on you before just now, when you appeared out of thin air next to me." His eyes keep moving back to the path though, clearly looking for his friend. as you prod him with the point of the blade though he swallows hard. "I aint got no beef with you. If you want the bracers, then take em..." He starts to tug them off. "I took em off a dead elf a year or two back, but they aren't worth getting myself killed over."

"Go ahead, drop them there. Found them on a dead elf a few years back, you say? Strange, then why are they so clearly familiar to me?" "
Myelene notices him glancing about for aid.
"You're looking for Higgul? Perhaps I'm better rid of you now, rather than dealing with two of you at a time. You stole from me, Walter. Whether you know it or not. You stole from me. Further you made rude insinuations and forced me to, ugh, barter with someone of lower station. You dared look on me without my permission. Were I a lesser woman I imagine you would have done a lot more than just 'look' if greed hadn't gotten the better of your lust. How is the world not better off without a man like you? How am I not better off without you, for that matter?"
Myelene maintains the story about coming from wealth, but again, it still feels right to her - she knows intuitively she is a higher class of person, and whether she has wealth and influence or not, she is certainly worthy of it. She speaks truth, as she sees it. The bracers are difficult to rationalize, as is the entire scenario. Armed and with the man on the defensive, despite all the confusion, she still feels a bit more in control of her environment, and does not relish giving that up again, but she continues to judge for the best tactical move.
“Phandalin. It sounds like a nice place. I’ll head there.” he stands and heads for the door, then turns back toward Daran one last time for now. He gives him a wave and wishes him well, then heads out toward Phandalin. As he enters the town, he looks around and heads in the direction of the shrine.
