"We need a healer... Someone who knows about this sort of thing... I... I don't... There's nothing I can do," Fianna explains as she can do nothing other than carry the limp form of their friend.
Kelnan magically shortcuts to the scene, and helps Fianna carry Molo's limp, bleeding body back to the street, and away from the Empty Net tavern.
The sun is beginning to set. It's almost time for Fianna to report to her new job, for Dain to begin his shift, and when Molo, Katernin, and Kelnan were invited to join Gellan Primewater at his mansion.
"I could carry him to the guardhouse... I am suppose to start a job there soon, if you can believe it," Fianna tells Kelnan. "I'm sure they could at least keep an eye on him but I'm afraid they'd arrest him and blame him for... Well, whatever happened. No... No, I can't bring him there."
Fianna thinks things over furiously, trying to decide on her course of action. "Screw the job... Never saw myself as a guard anyway. I'll take him to the Temple of... Procan, was it? I think that's what they said. I think it's near Katernin's temple... I know my way that far at least."
Fianna heads in that direction. She'll tell Kelnan they can continue on their night's plan if they wish, surely there is no need for them both to stand watch over the little one...
"No... I shall not leave him until I figure out what happened. This could be an attack on us all," Fianna speculates. "The smugglers we disrupted could be targeting us each for retribution. It may have been a soft hearted mistake to allow the one who lived and who had seen us to escape..."
Fianna spend a minute, two perhaps, quietly staring off into space... ((Actually communicating with FinFin)) "There... FinFin is first going to explain my absence to the guards. Then they will fly over to this candy tasting and warn the others who were to attend. Were the rest of you all attending? If there anyone else we need to find to warn?"
FinFin will indeed report to the guards instead of Fianna. When there Fianna will explain that her friend was in the bar that exploded and that she is seeing after his healing and safety. She apologizes for not making it but briefly relays her theory it could be smugglers seeking retribution and that she thought none of her friends should be alone for now. ((We can RP this out if you wish. Fianna will be sure to keep details vague, easy enough as she has none, and pound on the smuggler theory as it may possibly provide Molo an alibi if one is needed...))
FinFin will next fly to the candy tasting event and try to get the attention of the other companions and advise what is going on...
As the sun begins to set, Fianna and Kelnan carry Molo's limp body over the bridge and through the cold streets of Saltmarsh.
They cross paths with Katernin, just ahead of them on the other side of the bridge, on her way to the candy appointment. (Dain is at the nearby blacksmith shop.)
Meanwhile, FinFin reports to the Guard. It doesn't go poorly, but it doesn't go well, exactly, either. The wide-eyed guards outside the Tower, who are not about to let a talking dragonoid inside, seem more fascinated by the spectacle of this strange creature talking to them than actually paying much attention to what it has to say. The guards vaguely agree to pass along Fianna's message, but you're not quite sure they really heard many of the details.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Katernin's eyes go wide when she sees Molo, "What happened? Is anyone else hurt? Oh gods," she rushes up to them and tries to see if Molo is still breathing, trying to heal him regardless of what's going on.
"We don't know exactly all what happened," Fianna says, gently putting down the recovering kobold. "A bar exploded. A couple people said a creature vaguely fitting Molo's description entered the bar, caused a ruckus and then blew the place up. Don't know how much truth there is to any of it, but I never thought Molo had that much power yet... Causing an explosion that could be seen for miles like that."
Katernin's potent healing spell brings Molo back around; it heals most of his wounds, and brings him back to consciousness. He's still quite weak and ill, and cannot walk yet. He's still missing a piece of his left foot (two toes, including his big toe) as well as a couple of teeth. But he's alive and awake.
The four of you stand outside the empty market square, quite close to the Snapping Line, and within eyeshot of the Primewater mansion. Kelnan brushes himself off and makes his way to the mansion to knock on the front door.
“I went inside, and some jerk tried to kill me! Even brought his buddy with, to gang up on me! But I have been working on some serious magic. So I popped him. I may have underestimated the effects.”
"Who were these people? Did you have a quarrel with them about something or did they attack you out of the blue? I was fearing perhaps the smugglers were out for revenge, as we didn't break up the entire ring and the town meeting kind of made it known that we were hired to finish the job..." Fianna said, still worried. "And the fact that we did let one get away, it is possible they are targeting us already..."
The sun is setting (or at least you assume so, based upon the deepening of the low, gloomy, overcast skies.)
Fianna and Katernin continue to stand in the street outside the market square, learning from Molo about what happened to him at the Empty Net.
Molo is feeling better, although his foot is still extremely painful, and he is still unable to walk. To do so, he may need high magic, a prosthetic, or a crutch.
Dain says goodbye to Mardred and begins his shift at the Dwarven Forge.
Kelnan raps on the front door of Primewater Mansion. A young, harried-looking gnome, dressed in a chef's outfit, opens the door. She apologizes. "I'm afraid Mr. Primewater was called away rather suddenly on urgent business. He sends his deep apologies and asks if you would be willing to come tomorrow at sunset. Are your friends with you?" she asks, "he asked me to give you these." She holds out a tray containing five colorful paper sacks, each tied with a ribbon.
Kelnan bows graciously, accepting the sacks and depositing a silver piece on the tray as he rises without calling undue attention to the great height discrepancy. Treat the servants kindly, for even the shoeshine boy has the ear of his master, dad always said.
"Of course, send Mr. Primewater our regards and kind thanks for the gift. Tomorrow then, and a good evening to you."
He deposits the sacks in his bag and goes to rejoin Molo and the others, taking a peek into a sack once he is out of sight of the mansion.

"Good call. We take him to the temple. I can keep an eye on him if you want to work with the guard, Katernin can still indulge in...candy without us."
Either way, he assists carrying Molo as needed.

Molo is alive, but barely. Unconscious, missing part of his foot, in bad shape.

Kelnan
Leaving Molo in the care of the others, Kelnan cleans himself up and makes his way to Primewater's. Might as well make a helpful connection.

Molo coughs and squirms away from everyone for a moment before relaxing. “What happened? Are we late for candy?”
